1) Tim Connolly, who built the Denver Nuggets and drafted Jokic, Murray, and MPJ, is now running the show in Minnesota and was responsible for the Gobert trade. He pretty much built a championship team just turn around and do it again to beat that other team. That's some grade A shit right there.
2) I know everyone scoffs at the record, but Lebron making 8 straight Finals is still utterly ridiculous

I think point 1 gets overstated. With what the Lakers did in the bubble, the way to beat Denver was never a mystery. The true wonder is how the Lakers for no logical reason went away from it. That's the real mindboggling part but Pelinka gets excused for it somehow.

I think the part were the Wolves clearly are better, all the rest can be pretty even, is the Gobert matchup and rim protection. Dallas did have some problems making layups with Chet, and Gobert is a diferent monster. It will be a great series that wil probably go in momentum waves. 3 pt % may decide the outcome, even more than it already does.

This is an incredibly incompetent take. The difference between the first seed and the eighth seed is fairly marginal. Rankings barely matter in the west. Highly competitive teams will have lower wins... Think Boston and the East versus the thunder and the West. Denver's a great team and they won the championship point blank period. With a little bit more bench they'll be right back into the western conference finals. They have the best player on the court at all times barring injuries.

The Timberwolves are the most complete organization in the West division. Minnesota will be even better next year.
The Knicks need a couple good bench scorers. A healthy Randle already is pushing DD to the bench, with Hartenstein/Randle/OG/Hart/Brunson as your starting group. Robinson/Donte coming off the bench. They need a backup PG and either a SG who can push Hart to a 6th man role, or a SF/PF that can fill out that depth 'cause they are missing one there.

Losing that last regular season game to the Spurs put Denver against bad match ups in LA and the Wolves. Against the Lakers they survived a close series which masked how badly Murray and the bench were. They would have been better against Dallas and Phoenix which aren't so big.
