Perfection. When I restored my Arctic Blue '06 TSX 6MT Navi, I found out about the headlight and taillight differences for the refresh model. The only visible cue I could see was that the back-up lights are slightly tinted on the '06-'08. Those cars are indeed bulletproof! Shannon better be careful, the HOA is going to harass her about parking. I dig her SportCross, especially as seen with a TSX Sport Wagon driving past it.

Just bought an Alabastar Silver ‘06 Accord Euro six speed manual after years of wanting the car. I’m originally from the states and bought a then new ‘01 Accord LX five speed. Wanted the Accord Euro so badly when it debuted back then. Traded the Accord for ‘04 Si. Loved the TSX, but was digging the EP hatch. Last new Honda I bought before leaving the states was an ‘05 Odyssey EX-L. What a beast for a mini van. Surprised lots of sports cars. 😅
Fast forward sixteen years and finally have the Accord Euro I always wanted. I knew it would be this good! Feels like I’ve owned it all my life and it’s only been three days of ownership. 😂 Stay up!

My boyfriend has the 2007 manual TSX. When I first met him, I was still learning about cars/Honda and he described the car as “the glorified Accord but it’s actually an Accord everywhere else in the world” lol.
I agree that the TSX’s look has really aged well. He still has the car and I think it doesn’t look out of place at all in 2024. The leather seats, the middle panel in the panel, and the automated adjustable seats are so nice. I have a 2014 Si and all the seat adjusting is manual (I know, I know, “weight saving”) but it still surprises me given it’s a 2007. I like the overall look better than the TL because the TL has a “big butt” rear.
I stumbled across your video on the (odd) Canadian history of the Civic Si and am now going to back to watch your other videos. I need to give you your flowers because I really appreciate the Canadian aspect of it! The humour (like the OC and the comments about manual vs. automatic) is so funny and the editing is good. I’m also learning so much about Acura/Honda and that’s a big plus. Thanks for the great videos

  • @buhketz

These needed to be rear wheel drive, along with the TL. They would’ve been perfect. Regardless, they’ve always held their own. Great cars, I’d pick one of these over the competition of their day any day.

Also to add the 07-08 are more sought after also 06 but not as much as the last 2 years.
Due to hondata and tuning softwares being plug and play.
Not needing to swap out ECUs, and re program the key/immobilzer .
While 04-06 can get reflashed just not capable of anything further. Without doing the swap.
Also the 06-08 head flows slightly better and has one of the best oem drop in cams for the kseries.
Then other small things like the throttle body being slightly bigger.

The Acura TSX was sold along side the standard Accord here in Australia, but was instead called the Accord Euro as it was positioned as a more upmarket, sportier car. It was an instant hit with the Aussie public, becoming one of the best selling mid sized cars for the entire first generations lifespan. I recall seeing the updated models when they first came out back in early 2006 - I was in primary school and a school mates mother bought one new. It was a grey Sport model with a rear spoiler and I was instantly in love with the look. She promised to take me for a spin in it, to prove it was respectively quick compared to my parents then new Mazda 6 MPS (Mazdaspeed6), but never did...
I always wanted a first gen Euro and had been eyeing a few in late 2017 to early 2018. I had the intention of purchasing one, but wanted the 6speed manual face-lifted Luxury model. Ended up buying a locally built Holden Calais instead, which I still own to this day. Despite the desire to own one, I never have gone to fulfil a purchase. I did however, in late 2021, drive an automatic model. While I was pleased to finally have been given the chance to get behind the wheel, I know for a fact the manual would have been a far better experience.
These first generations, or seventh, are still common on Aussie roads, due to the higher number sold (second gen or eighth sold far less) and their sound reliability. They definitely have aged gracefully, as have both the fourth gen Liberty (Legacy) and first gen Mazda6. In fact the latter two cars are still very common on Aussie roads as all they too were successful, probably inadvertently being the last hurrah for the fable sedan and wagon body style. The following generations of all three sold far less, likely due in part to the start of the reign of the SUV but also because all three did not look as attractive, looking more bloated than sleek.
Not sure when I will own an Accord Euro, but the desire still stands. Would love a clean red Accord Euro Luxury with the 6speed, a rear lip spoiler, lowered and 17" five spoke alloy rims fitted to the Sport model. Some day, but for now my Holden Calais and Subaru Liberty GTB fulfil my driving needs.

Bought the dark grey 2008 AT tsx with 108k miles for $8700 two years ago.
Overpaid for the time and the messed up market but aside the draining battery issue, a couple tears on my seat, and some dents it’s worth it. Only did some maintenance here and there nothing major other than a starter.
Although overtime the vtec doesn’t make the clean baby roar it used to make. It did when I changed the oil but I wanna hear it consistently like I did back then. Oh well great car

Just bought a 2006 TSX about 2 weeks ago. It has the 5 speed AT, while I would've loved to have the 6 speed MT, I can't drive a manual. But the AT does have sequential shifting, so I can at least get the engine revved high enough to activate VTEC, which is always fun.

@1:05 - This is definitely a picture of an Australian spec Honda Accord Euro, noted by the New South Wales (NSW) Euro registration plates. @1:10 - This would simply been known as a Honda Accord here. Australia and New Zealand were one of only a few markets that received both Accords. The 1st and 2nd generations of the Acura TSX were sold here as the Honda Accord Euro. No Accord Euro wagons were made available for the Australian market.
@7:27 - This is an Australian spec 2nd generation Honda Accord Euro, as noted by the 'Accord Euro' plate on the front.

Oh... the maker of this video clearly doesn't understand the appeal of the DVD-Audio system. The was a system that allowed for playing of true (not simulated) 5.1 surround sound audio. Obviously, it required music that was recoded in 5.1 surround sound or re-mastered for 5.1 surround. When done well it sounds truly magical. Unfortunately the DVD-Audio format was not succesful and was eventually abandoned in favor of Super Audio Compact Disk (SACD) and 5.1 surround lives on to this day as a niche product in that format. I've got a handful of DVD-Audio titles that I play in my TSX every now and then, the jewel of the collection being Seal's first album, which I purchased used on eBay the only time I've ever seen it come up, for $100.00. And I would do it again in a second, it sounds so good!
