Now that we know that both worlds are made of opposite matters it is also cool to know that the games have so many opposites (an older cast in 1, a younger cast in 2, Klaus being evil in 1, Klaus being good in 2, etc.)
@@bladerdj3503 I think this could also explain why two versions of the same character can appear in Aionios, because Aionios is still two worlds with two opposite versions of "the truth", and every person existing there is affected by that conflicted duality. You could say that Aionios is like the two halves of a broken mirror, reflecting "a million shades of light".
Kinda reminds me of luke fon fabre in tails of the abyss I hated him in the beginning of the game with a passion but he kept growing on me over and over and by the end of the game I was saddened to see him sacrifice himself being and realizing he was only seven and that was why he was so immature rpgs can really make some amazing stories people who don't play them don't understand why we think there so great the emotions are so real and always make you feel something if done right.
Klaus is such a powerful, well-written character in this game. He has all the powers of a God, all the responsibilities and sense of obligation of maintaining a world, and yet, his humanity is palpable. He fears, he mourns, regrets. Most importantly, he's unsure of himself and his decisions. And this is further defined by his presentation; a humble being, no bigger than ordinary humans, soft-spoken, no flashy get-up or anything like that. It's a stark contrast to Zanza.
@@dekaidoku I wont it to be a prequel where we get to see how he reached this decision. Also it would be awsome to develop his relationship with Mayneth
what really gets you is that its Implied that he is FULLY aware of what is happening with Zanza, as he hears Shulk's speech about killing a god just prior to the fight with malos.
I mean he’s a man turned god as the result of his fuck up. And vice versa with Zanza, who’s a god that feels more like he used to be a man. Makes sense
@@susienieves8466 yes, you can hear his voice for a short moment, but I don't remember where exactly. Not sure whether it happens in this cutscene or in another
*Klaus:* Rex... What is it you desire? *Rex:* What else? To stop Malos. *Klaus:* And if you succeed? *Rex:* I'll punch him in his stupid face. And then... Probably get a drink with him or something.
So Xenoblade 1 and 2 are what happened when Klaus reset the universe, and Xenoblade X is what would’ve happened if he never did. That’s actually kinda wild
If you look closely at Xenoblade X beginning, there are mechs fighting in space, like in the cutscene here. Also when there is the explosion you can see a space station shaped exactly like the World tree, and the explosion originates in space, not on earth. I think that what we see in Xenoblade X intro is Klaus experiment going off. And the "flash of light" that aliens report seeing before finding themselves on Mira well.. it must be it as well.
So is X a prequel or is at a xenoblade game without Klaus? Even so thank you for telling me that about X,I needed to know it's role in the xenoblade timeline.
Nucleogenman That akward moment when your monotheistic god is also a polytheistic god in another universe and begins to refer to his own monotheistic god.
Going even further, when your monotheistic god, who happens to also exist as a polytheistic god in another universe but kills the other polytheistic god so he can be a monotheistic god (but now he is dead and that universe has no gods), refers to his own monotheistic god.
Hehe😁...I always thought that "on high" bit was a reference to UDO, God being in the upper domain plane of existence in the Xenosaga games and all. That would be awesome.
Muadib alce That's probably were it is going anyway. It is the third time that Takahashi is trying to create a series where he can tell this story. Now that he has one that will probably not be canceled he will start to add Xenogear and Xenosaga element into it.
One small detail I don't think I've seen anyone touch on is that this is specifically Klaus's right side here in XB2 while his left side resides in XB1. This is interesting because in Psychology, the right side of the body is said to be governed by the left hemisphere of the brain, which you could basically say is the core of logic/reason. It makes sense then that this side of Klaus treats his world as a scientist would, building things up through evolution while taking on the mantle of a simple architect, which is fairly humble all things considered. Such a world was indeed stable, yet at the same time became corrupted by the influence of hatred by Amalthus; perhaps this logical side of Klaus was ill-prepared to deal with the factor of human emotion. And maybe it's also not surprising then that the hero of this story would be a simple-minded, big-hearted guy like Rex. Contrast that with Zanza, the left side of the body which is governed by the right hemisphere of the brain, the supposed home of all our feelings, emotion, intuition and imagination. Klaus in this world is a straight up madman, creating and destroying as he sees fit and likening himself unto a god (even the name Zanza comes off like he just wanted something godlike to call himself). He struck terror through his entire world and by the end of it, according to Alvis, all of his creation was on the verge of collapse. Little surprise then that his ultimate foil would be a scientist as he once was.
Wait, but if Klaus' right side is in the XC2 universe, then isn't the side of his brain that controls that side inside his left side in the XC1 universe, aka Zanza, and vice versa? I don't know if they expected us to look that deep into it, assuming they meant this connection to be drawn at all, but it still bothers me.
@@Untitled_Niamiko Like you say, they probably didn't expect us to look that deep. However, if we're looking for an explanation, I'd say that since both halves of Klaus are still connected in some way, the brain hemisphere thing could very well be true. If killing half of his being is enough to kill him in his entirety, what's to say his brain doesn't follow the rules of human beings?
@Alejandro Muñoz Medina One thing I always thought was neat was how you see the conduit experiment twice, in both games. the dialogue as I recall is exactly the same but the delivery is subtly different, which I chalk up to even the two sides of the same person at roughly the same time remember this scene slightly differently.
@Alejandro Muñoz Medina Yeah, I don't disagree. That's why I'm hoping whenever XB3 comes along the pipeline it's prequel leading up to all this: I'm very interested at this point to see what the actual, holistic Klaus was like as a person cause right now we've got kind of an unreliable narrator thing going on. And who knows, maybe Mayneth is different too from what you would normally think of her
@@rdknight89 I think XC2's is probably pretty accurate. Architect!Klaus dwells on the incident with regret and probably thinks about it every day and relives it every time he sleeps. It's something that may as well be fresh for him Zanza!Klaus has likely forgotten much of it. For him, its just a distant memory from before he became a "god", and I doubt he thinks about it much. He doesnt even seem to remember the Zohar/Conduit or the mech battle that was happening outside, just that he made an amazing breakthrough and Mayneth/Galea (he doesnt even seem to remember her original name) tried to stop him
This is legitimately heartbreaking. The Rex Pyra Mythra scene, and actually having a villain I used to love to hate show so much remorse... I will admit this is one of many cutscenes that made me cry, and cements my thesis that Xenoblade has no villains, just greed, tragedy, arrogance, and the other flaws of humanity.
klaus , that man , more like , his better half , i counldn't imagine how lonely and sorrow which he had felt for eternal , he was such an ass in XC1 but here , we see another side of a broken human , lived for atonement . It pain my heart even more because deep down we are all like him , we did mistake in our past and long for redemption . So glad that in his final moment , he met Rex and the gang , and they are grateful to him for giving them life . Maybe now he can face Galea , at long last , after all he had done
lesangpro Klaus was literally split into his better and worse halves. The architect is the side that was trying to further humanity while Zanza is the side that was looking for power
john lawful Madara was pretty evil and didn’t really have any justification imo. He just wanted revenge for revenge. I see what this guy means though, at every point where I think someone is the villain, I end up pitying them at the end. Everyone is just doing what they think is correct for their world.
@@xeno6773 I'm not sure. It wasn't until I saw these comments that I knew people did call Galea Sophia originally. But it's the only connection thst comes to mind. As you learn early in Xenogears, Sophia was the holy mother of the nisan sect, and I suppose that Meyneth played a similar role to the Machina, though she was straightup a godess, unlike Sophia.
Everybody is commenting on the actual Architect plot twist and that's all great, but I'd just like to draw attention to the beginning of this cutscene with Rex, Pyra, and Mythra. That was genuinely one of the most emotional and well done scenes in the series for me. Rex delivers some damn good emotional lines and the fact that the Pyra/Mythra dynamic is swapped, playing with his emotions further really seals the deal. Knowing the context around the cutscene makes it so much more heartfelt. Props to the writer and actors in the scene, because goddamn did that get to me.
Throughout the game, I never liked Rex’s voice acting, it just sounded off, especially whenever he screamed someone’s name... but here in this scene, the actor just seems to pull the emotion off just perfectly. The voice of a broken boy who’s not even a full adult yet...
I think with half of Klaus’s body, it was also half of Klaus’s personality that disappeared into the XC1 universe. The half that remained was the benevolent part of his personality that just wanted the best for humanity and the half that became Zanza was the arrogant part of Klaus that desired to become a god out of hubris.
“Rex... Pnuema... your resourcefulness in overcoming this trial speaks to the promise of a hero. In the name of the Goddess Hylia, I bestow upon you this Spirit Orb. May the Goddess smile upon you.”
+Paper Luigi I know this is late but the recent XC1DE trailer basically confirmed Alvis is Ontos as they retconned his neck keychain to be the core crystal of the trinity processor
@@Proteus_Ridley and in the definitive edition, his charm key turned into an aegis core crystal, btw if you didn't know by now, but Alvis actually created both the mechonis monado and shulk's monado
I think X is rather a post backstory and that the aliens attacked the conduit and earth, Klaus wanted to save everyone and earth was sent to 2 perhaps more different universes. It was a misconception. Not the entire universe was changed, the earth just left Universe A and became something different in Universe C and B. Everyone in a substantial radius around the conduit including earth have all been sent to the different universes. X is just the story of what just happens in the old universe
Klaus couldn’t see the goodness in humanity before the experiment. He was terrified and saddened by the implications of the fact that his new creations evolved as just humans once again, so he couldn’t see their goodness then either. It wasn’t about samples, it was about psychology and morality. It was about him meeting his creations face to face and finally realizing how amazing they were
Is it? It's not really explained why everyone else just vanished while only he gets torn up and ends up in two different dimensions. Not only that, in this dimension he is only half and knows of his other half while his other self seems fully unaware of this. To me, it was always clear that the first game was conceived as a singular story and that this whole explanation was an afterthought.
Yeah, his nightmares were manifestations of his fears of what each party member thought of him after reaching the desolated Elysium. He knew Nia’s affections were real and was worried she’d resent him for having eyes only for Pyra.
The good news is, Nia gets to join in with Pyra, Mythra, and Rex after new game plus in the new title screen. If you wait for some time, you can see Pyra and Mythra beckoning Nia to come on over, and a lot of fans speculate, that they all got their wish.
Quite a grand plan of Klaus Use the Cloud Sea to rebuild the ruined world Use the Core Crystals to recreate life Finally, Use the Blades to protect, monitor, and continue the new circle of life
Honestly, I literally cracked the minute I saw rex cry. ...I'm shocked How much they got away with here. Especially considering at that time I was in a depression state, so... ooof
Damn right. Also from the moment Klaus heard: “Today we used our power to fell a god, and then seize our destiny!” I broke down crying and kept crying all the way through the post credit scene.
"I gathered miniature vessels containing memories of all this planet's former lifeforms..." Interesting way to put it considering KOS-MOS and T-elos are awakened through core crystals.
My thought is this was a way some people were able to return if not in form, but their personality, their consciousness within in a different shape. Of course no memories and possible special powers or life span of a blade, but I think especially the Rare blades were people from the other universe or were based on ideal or the architect's preference (as you noted about Te-los and KOS-MOS). I imagined Mythra was his ideal woman: smart - if a bit arrogant due to her position and power as a master blade, observant, sexy, knows when to leave a guy alone, and a bit spicy. Malos being the man that girls/women oogled over, had power...if he demanded it he got the attention if he desired it, and was taken seriously - a man he wished he was.
It's possible (based on nothing but a guess) that because of the multiverse being confirmed here that the Blue Planet KOS-MOS is falling towards at the end of Episode 3 is NOT the Earth of their universe, but instead Klaus' Earth. And her soul/memories were reformed thanks to the Core Crystal thing. Especially since it's insinuated she remembers Shion.
@@SteveRudzinski Technically Earth disappeared from the universe entirely in Xenosaga, hence coming to be known as Lost Jerusalem. It's merely a theory of mine, of course, but I like to think that Xenblade Chronicles 1 and 2 also ended around the same time as Xenosaga did, and that in addition to creating a new continent with his last action, the architect (Klaus) returned Alrest (Earth) to it's former location, hence 'Lost Jerusalem' reappearing at the end of Xenosaga. This is pure speculation of course, but looking at how advanced the Earth was in Klaus's time, it is not impossible that there were some human colonies away from the earth that could have thrived and grown into the society that we saw in Xenosaga As for Xenoblade Chronicles X, I do not think that that 'Earth' was the same Earth that Klaus was from, but rather a parallel universe. The 'Sumarians' who were alluded to possibly being the ancestors orf these Earthlings that appeared so long ago, though, I believe were castaways that were displaced from Klaus's Earth. In other words, the people of 'Earth' were not descendants of the Sumarians at all, but rather a race that evolved on a parallel version of earth in the same way as the 'Sumarians' had. This is pure speculation but it all fits together nicely.
The Zohar Engine....taps into different dimensions to siphon energy....holy sh$%! Monolith actually made sense of this in this game too! Galea? Xenoblade Chronicles 3?? Oh, wait...that was Klaus' co-worker. Meyneth....the Mechonis.
This is probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire game. Seeing Rex at the dinner scene was already hearbreaking to see him break down like that, and then the party finally got to meet the Architect. To go along with that we get some crazy lore. As of me writing this, I XBC2 is the first and only Xenoblade game I've ever played. (I intend to fix that soon) so needless to say I didn't go into it expecting there would be deep lore like this where it was actually based sort of from our world like this. This kind of stuff increased my love of the game 5 times over. And then seeing Rex legit site a salvagers code right to a god was the funniest thing to me. Love this scene a ton
@@mysticcorn7059 Oh man I'm super excited for it. I've especially recently been getting super hyped and I'm actually replaying XB2 right now (I've also played XB1 now) so yeah I'm super hyped
I had some doubts admittedly about both the writing and general voice acting when I started this game but as I kept going it just kept getting better and all the bits towards the end, including these scenes, absolutely floored me. All fantastically done
I can't immagine how Klaus felt when he saw that his evil side in the universe of the first Xenoblade, killed the woman he loved.... at that point He was just waiting for the moment he ceased to exist so he could be reunited with her...
It must be awful. He basically destroyed the universe, so he feels remorse for that. His attempts to create a new, better humanity failed in his eyes, and on top of all that, he has to witness his other half become a mad god, doing what he pleases, and Klaus can do nothing to stop it. This guy's got it rough.
In first game he's a merciless yet lonely god who with simple curiosity changed the universe forever ...In another he's merciless only to himself and wants to make everything right but feels like he did not do good enough... Man that's just sad.....Shows that we are always humans at a heart and nothing more....
I like how Zanza and Architect represent Klaus' two sides. Zanza was full of himself and is willing to kill people within the world he created just so he himself can live. Meanwhile, Architect felt remorse for destroying Earth and the universe itself because of the conduit, so he created his universe and life to atone, knowing his end will come soon thanks to Shulk killing Zanza.
well he never created them but the Conduit opened up a gateway to the alternate universe (Shulks world), he just remade the world in his current universe to try and bring back humanity while his other half was given godlike powers over the alternate universe via the Conduit.
This scene is pretty surreal. I've always questioned what is the point of everything and how it all functions as it does. Humanity accomplished so much and it's amazing how far we've come. However, the world, living bodies, and the flow of life and time are the most amazing of all. Who created it? And why? So many questions flood the mind but no one in this world has a solid answer everyone can agree on. And weirdly enough, most of us take life for granted and won't ponder this until we're at our deathbed. But Rex and his party, they are granted the experience of meeting their creator head on and ask these very questions. It may just be a fictional story, but I can't help but put my shoes into this scenario and being in awe. It was a beautiful scene and I couldn't help but choke up when Rex says "Thank you for giving us all life", leaving Klaus speechless. Makes me realize we should never take life for granted. Live your best life and make your Creator proud.
Ontos triggered a space-time event and disappeared. The Monado has the power to disrupt space and time and was used to create Shulk’s world. Alvis, the True Monado, once referred to himself as an Administrative Computer. Interesting choice of words. Could Alvis and the Monado be Ontos?
The beginning of this cutscene is probably my favourite part of the entire game. Because his thoughts and emotions just get crashed together and he doesn't know what to do as the thing he was looking for is gone. But with his strive to continue he just burns himself even more. Really sad.
I thought the only Adam Howden had in this game (before the dlc) was the quick cameo where they reused his voice during the final battle. Then I remember he also voiced Klaus, AKA the architect
Am I the only one who somehow still thought the Architect was gonna be Shulk, having outlived everyone he ever knew and sealed himself away or some shit like that? I mean iirc he technically was the new god of his world, but just chose not to use his god powers as he just wanted to live his life out. When I started the game, the fact that the world was some kind of endless sea, but still had titans had me thinking it could have been set an extremely long time after XC1. So the intro cutscene confirmed my thoughts of the games being connected, I thought there would be some kind of explanation. So when he said his name was Klaus, I was greatly shocked since I thought he became Zanza, I was puzzled on what the fuck happened. Then he said part of him lives in another dimension. Mind got fucked a third time. Freaking love this game.
At the end of it all, I can really feel for Klaus. It was his own fault to what happened, his desire for knowledge, to go beyond where humanity was never supposed to be. And then also being pressured by the invaders. He got what he wanted, and in the end, he regretted everything. Forcing himself to stay alive for Millenia, watching how the world formed anew in the lonely silence of what once was Elysium. He got a taste what it meant to be a god, creating and then leaving the world to itself, ever evolving and changing. And during that time, he might have always seen what happened on the other side, how life formed on Bionis and Mechonis. Despite him being so calm all the time, I cannot imagine how brutal it must have felt when Zanza struck Meyneth down... It made me think what could have transpired had Zanza and Klaus one final conversation before both vanished from existence. ...I am going to put that on paper right now... Granted I did not really like Xenoblade 2 for Tropes, Gacha and the gameplay explanations having been all over the place for me. I felt a bit like it had an identity crisis before the story really picked up the pace. Buuuuut now that I have played through the story of the first one again and currently leveling in Future Connected, I not only began to appreciate the gameplay of 2 thanks to some very good tutorials online, but my opinion on the Gacha pretty much went down the drain when I saw someone play through the game with mostly a common blade. Once I am done with that, I'll finish Torna first and then give 2 another try.
Common blades are not all bad they are useful for many things like adding up levels to field skills that are underdeveloped, merc missions etc. The game is almost perfectly built so you can playthrough it with any of the blades you get.
When Klaus said his other half is dying, means Shulk and his buddies in Xenoblade 1 are already very close to defeat Zanza. That's an excellent writing there..
Poor Klaus first he lost his faith in humanity because of countless wars and so he tried to make a difference that will change the ways of humanity yet it costed him everything that he has: His life, his half body and for the worst the only woman who can understand him and he was forced to carry his guilt for thousands of years until the death of Zanza by the hands of Shulk.
Wait woah so they changed Alvis' key necklace in Xenoblade Chronicles DE to look like one of the Trinity Processor's cores. So does that essentially confirm that Alvis is Ontos? I had never put 2 and 2 together until just now (probably because I just beat Xenoblade Chronicles for the first time today lol).
Klaus is such an interesting figure in Xenoblades. A man ruined by despair and pain of his original world. Wanting nothing for mankind to evolve and reconnect to itself and the world, thinking that he through the Conduit alone in some blind irrational and unemphatic moment of insanity. A man forced to pay for the sins of not only his own reckless and insane actions, but for the sins of hubris and despair that of mankind by wasting away as two separate entities tasked with reforging the world they destroyed. One spent living an eternal life as an insane and arrogant and all powerful god desperate for emotional connection with others but never getting it back as his creations flee from his own grasp and though his own emotional turmoil build a world that were slaves to him, and another a slowly rotting corpse of a creator forced to live with the haunting realization that he screwed the world and in desperation sought to fix his mistakes and build anew that is more logically planned out only to realize that mankind still followed the same path as he did forcing him to self-loath and give into despair and become reclusive as he watched the world cave into entropy. It was only thanks to Shulk and friends and Rex and friends did both halves finally served their purpose and were finally brought to peace they so needed. It is through them that finally mankind was able to overcome their past sins and begin the long haul to finally mature and achieve their next state in evolution. It's the same long haul that now Noah and Mio and friends continue in their game. To finally give a chance for mankind to step out of the dark and finally become a potentially wiser, more mature species. One that is more empathetic and reasonable and understanding of not only itself but to each other and other beings, and one that is hopeful. Able to handle stuff like the conduit.
So let me get this straight xenoblade 2 is the orginal universe and Xenoblade 1 the world Klaus created and they both move at the same time AKA they both fight their final boss at the same time.
Didn’t Alvis day he was the main computer system of something? The Aegises are central processing units, so that theory has some merit. The other possibility is that it went to another, as-yet-unknown dimension. Xenoblade 3, perhaps. The Conduit has to have ended up somewhere, too.
Alvis said he was the “administrative computer of a phase transition experiment facility” by that logic yes Ontos, by description of the architect, is Alvis
That beginning scene in the cabin was just... I feel like you want to smile because out of context it's a nice moment, but knowing what you do you're just stuck there grimacing and waiting. Or that's how I was feeling.
The parallel between the Architect and Zanza is just so incredible. The Architect regretted his actions and found them foolish, while wanting death as a way to escape his suffering. On the other hand, Zanza is arrogant, believing everything he did was right and that eternal life as a God would rule the world.
This is one of the things I loved the most of Xenoblade 2. One of the few things I HATED of the first Xenoblade was Zanza, the main antagonist. A fucking moron who wants to destroy everything "cause why not". Thanks to this we finally learn his reasons. Basically the Zanza of the first game's world is just an empty shell unable to feel emotions, and his part that can feel them is in the world of the second game. They made one of the worst villains ever understandable in his reasons. Well done Monolith Soft.
It's more the other way around. Zanza follow no logic. Just raw desire and emotion. Wiping the world out on a whim. The architect however. Is much more logical. Maybe even a little cold.
One of my favorite cutscenes in the game, something about seeing the Aegis girls and Rex in that house acting like a family made so sad, plus ADAM HOWDEN IS BACK BTCHES
tinyrocket No, he made a Xenoblade Chronicles 1 series, and has said that it’s his favorite game, so I can just imagine his reaction seeing this connect back to the original.
When a person loses something, they can it help but seek a reason why. Within themselves, or in others... They seek a concrete answer to the question of who they really are, deep inside. Such a very lonely existence... But perhaps that is what it is to be human...
Amalthus climbs the beanstalk and steals the giant's two most precious treasures. Only, he didn't do anything about it. Xenoblade 2 is Jack and the Beanstalk with anime, mechs, and tiddies.
Man, my boy Rex went through the lowest low in his life, and he *still* thanked his creator for giving him life. You could see the look on Klaus's face just how much that impacted him. IT'S SUCH A POWERFUL SCENE!!!
THECHIEF AMP they really can’t reference it more than enough with the Klaus scene. It’s literally the exact same scene and situation from Xenoblade Chronicles. It’s clear enough
Aion subtly references the Bionis and Mechonis form of Zanza with its colouration. Both final boss fights are dual white and black, and both get sliced down the middle by a green Monado. Due to being parallels one is biological, the other is robotic. (It's basically confirmed that the Aegis Sword is a Monado, considering the evidence).
8:14 ... So... this pretty much confirms Xenosaga and Xenoblade are linked then, because there's no way that's not the Zohar right there. Which means, when the Zohar phase shifts away in Xenosaga 3, that is where is goes, to Klaus' original universe. Now if only I could find some way to get Xenogears in to some of this action, that would be the best orgy ever...
PlusOneGamer no, ever since Nintendo bought them, they lost rights to that series because it was published by namco, so it has the rights I dunno how they got KOS MOS though
Hahaha😁, now that orgy stuff kinda got my curiosity piqued....seriously though, if you read the timelines of the previous xeno series games, you'll see that Klaus experiment on the conduit or Zohar already parallels much of the backstory of the previous Xeno games. In the Gears and Saga timelines, there was also a scientist who experimented on the Zohar to ascend humanity to a higher plane of existence, when it was first discovered or appeared on earth in the era of 20XX, also about the same time as Klaus's experiment. The scientists were not specifically named Klaus, but the similarities are there just the same. And in both timelines the experiment failed, with the earth being destroyed in the Gears timeline, I think. While in Saga, earth disappeared to a differently dimension entirely. This is where the Xenoblade timeline deviates from the older games. Since Klaus was successful, or partially successful with the Zohar experiment, and was able to ascend ( not with humanity though, and just with galea) to a higher plane and create the universe of XC1 becoming a God. And just partially, since we see in XC2 that only half of him ascended, and left his other half, his mortal form and much of his humanity behind, along with destroying his old world ( just like what happened to earth in older xenogames) the difference here though is instead of just one planet, a whole universe was destroyed ( but not gone). Because of guilt and to seek redemption, his mortal half, since he still ages, and the only reason he lived for so long is because of the connection between him and his God half, and his contact with the Zohar, made the XC2 universe to atone for his massive blunder.
And pretty sure Fiora's chest piece on her mecha body is supposed to look like the trinity processor. Thats no coincidence given her connection both in xbc1 and by extension xbc2
When it comes to the plot of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I have one request. I don't want them to drop the Klaus plotline. The story of him rewriting the world after losing hope, the Conduit, the whole of his world including Alvis/Ontos and half of himself being warped to another world..... two sides of him, one who grew cocky with power from having gotten everything he wanted, and one who became despairing and learned to appreciate life. I know both Klauses are dead now, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will likely take place after the events of 1 and 2 (which occurred at the same time, 4058, about 2000 years after the Conduit incident! Xenoblade Chronicles X took place in 2054... did Earth die because of Klaus???). Man, wouldn't it be cool to have a game take place where we get to know Klaus... WELL, even if XC3 takes place after the events of 1 and 2, I just really don't want them to drop this beautiful plotline, that's all I'm saying.
from the feels of it the Wave Existance can not for some unknown reasons catch a break huh... disappear in xenogears after 10000 years of wanting to go back to its original dimension only to end up in Xenoblade
@@rafaynoman1180 Hoo boy. I will not retell the whole story of Xenogears, because it's not important. Anyway, in that game, you eventually learn that, more then ten thousand years prior to the games plot, humanity created a infinitely poweful engine called the Zohar. The engine was so powerful it dragged something called the "Wave Existence" from it's plane of, well, existance to power itself. This being is something akin to God (or is it?). Overall the whole thing (and how similar the Zohar and the Conduit look) makes it likely that the later was also powered by the same being.
@@LeocaprioDinardo The Wave Existance is an important character in the plot of Xenogears. As far as I remember the Zohar is destroyed at the end, so it can go back to where it came from.
god damn... klaus looks utterly dried up. and he sounds so sad. it's horrifying and weirdly heartbreaking seeing him like this when you compare how his other half had existed.
Okay one thing that pissed me off is that they dont really explain what the Trinity Processor is. Is it a computer or is a collection of super computers used during Klaus' experiment? I assume the cores are used to power it. Does anyone have an idea as to what exactly it is?
Maybe Galea half which is Meyneth, exists in the world of Xenoblade 1, while her other "true" half exist in a another dimension in which the true Galea exists as the same way as Klaus. Maybe a future Xenoblade title, which could be Xenoblade 3, might tell us about it.
By the time I got to the world tree I gave up expecting any real connection between 1 and 2 outside of the dlc. So imagine my shock once I got to this guy, it is so damn cool that they made this game seem like thr second half of 1 so naturally and allowed us to dice deeper into Klaus as a result. The fact that both games finale’s take place in space also makes them rhyme beautifully.
Rex thanking the Architect for giving them life is beautifully poetic. You know since Shulk is going to go fight Zanza at that moment.
It's interesting how both halves of him became gods and both face their creations but in completely opposite ways.

That's the power of character development.
I know I'm late on this, but I really wish Al Weaver was able to show that emotion more with Rex. It feels like chapters 7-10 he did so much better.
He is almost definitely the protagonist of a 3rd mainline game if it happens

Midna78 mira exist in a closed time bubble.
So is X a prequel or is at a xenoblade game without Klaus?
Even so thank you for telling me that about X,I needed to know it's role in the xenoblade timeline.
in X they were attacked by aliens, in the xeno1&2 verse they were attacked by other humans.
Hence why it is 1,2, and X. Fuck that is cool.
10:39 When your monotheistic god refers to his monotheistic god things get confusing.
Nucleogenman That akward moment when your monotheistic god is also a polytheistic god in another universe and begins to refer to his own monotheistic god.
That even further awkward moment when that other universe now has no gods.
What a fucking amazing climax to a story. Jesus Christ. I'm a 30-year-old man and I was nearly brought to tears over how much this resonated.
The xenoblade 1 connection was so clever
What does it have to do with your gender? ಠಿ_ಠ
It's something that may as well be fresh for him
Zanza!Klaus has likely forgotten much of it.

I treat them as different people
I love how the music ramps up when rex turns around to ask “have you changed your mind about this world?”. Gave me chills.

And Ontos dimension hopped and became Alvis.

@Blue Ribbon They're not really random. They all manage to find the Architect himself along with wielding the Aegis.
Klaus couldn’t see the goodness in humanity before the experiment. He was terrified and saddened by the implications of the fact that his new creations evolved as just humans once again, so he couldn’t see their goodness then either.
This is pure speculation of course, but looking at how advanced the Earth was in Klaus's time, it is not impossible that there were some human colonies away from the earth that could have thrived and grown into the society that we saw in Xenosaga
As for Xenoblade Chronicles X, I do not think that that 'Earth' was the same Earth that Klaus was from, but rather a parallel universe.

Hello and welcome to Metal Gear Xenoblade. We have 30 minute cutscenes.
I had some doubts admittedly about both the writing and general voice acting when I started this game but as I kept going it just kept getting better and all the bits towards the end, including these scenes, absolutely floored me. All fantastically done
Perhaps I will face you again... Galea (I felt really sorry for klaus coz he doesn't know that in the other dimension his other half killed her)
And just recently from this point in time, too. Zanza can’t have killed her more than a few days before Shulk and co. went to space to take him down.
He does know actually
If he knows he's about to be killed over there then he probably knows that much
He probably does, but maybe deep inside he hopes that he'll be able to meet her in the afterlife.
He probably does. In a cutscene during the middle of the final boss, he hears Shulk's voice at the end of XC1's final boss.
Rex: "I'll punch [Malos] in his stupid face. And then... probably get a drink with him or somethin'."

Everyone else freaking out about the Xenoblade 1 connection , I on the other hand was freaking out on the fact thats the fucking Zohar from Xenosaga.

I like how Zanza and Architect represent Klaus' two sides. Zanza was full of himself and is willing to kill people within the world he created just so he himself can live. Meanwhile, Architect felt remorse for destroying Earth and the universe itself because of the conduit, so he created his universe and life to atone, knowing his end will come soon thanks to Shulk killing Zanza.
the game is a good 70 hours because half of it is a movie.. AND WHAT A MOVIE IT IS!!
I'm playing it for the 1st time, 125 hours up to this scene xD
sweeeeeeeeet. so the two games are connected by Klaus. though him, he created two universes connected in more ways the one.
well he never created them but the Conduit opened up a gateway to the alternate universe (Shulks world), he just remade the world in his current universe to try and bring back humanity while his other half was given godlike powers over the alternate universe via the Conduit.
Considering Alvis wears a pendant that looks like a red Aegis core crystal in the definitive edition...
That basically has been confirmed when Monolith Soft changed Alvis’s pendent to an Aegis core crystal in Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition.
Freaking love this game.
given that all of the characters likely had visions, I kinda want to see what the others went through during that sequence.
“Perhaps I will be able to face you again… Galea”
Inb4 this is a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 teaser
nope
So rumors are going around that Ontos is actually Alvis. He did say that Ontos triggered a spice time transition. So I guess its possible.
GANTZ100pts Cores can create several Crystals. That would explain the Monados.
It'd also make sense as to how Alvis knew about how the world came to be, if Klaus made him as Ontos
Didn’t Alvis day he was the main computer system of something? The Aegises are central processing units, so that theory has some merit. The other possibility is that it went to another, as-yet-unknown dimension. Xenoblade 3, perhaps. The Conduit has to have ended up somewhere, too.
Yeah i believe our story will follow where the Conduit goes
This was the scene that made me love Rex. No malice or grudges. He just wants the fighting to stop.
Klaus for the Xenoblade fans...and the Zohar for the fans of the older games. What’s the Zohar? Well, in this game, they call it the Conduit...
I need to play those gamesc
I beat Xenogears but I remember so few of it
This is one of the things I loved the most of Xenoblade 2.
Xenoblade 2 and 1 make each other better games and its sorta insane
Oof...I hope Z didn't bum you out
ontos is alvis , alvis is an ageis so that is why he could wield the mondo i wish this game would have dlc with shulk metting rex
Kody Kemplin agree
The art styles would clash
That may happen in the DLC
Your request is fufilled
Sailz 15 only as an extra mission though, not story related (despite having a cutseane).
One of my favorite cutscenes in the game, something about seeing the Aegis girls and Rex in that house acting like a family made so sad, plus ADAM HOWDEN IS BACK BTCHES
Doesn't anyone else wanna see what Chuggaaconroy's reaction was to this scene? I can imagine he cried tears of joy.
tinyrocket No, he made a Xenoblade Chronicles 1 series, and has said that it’s his favorite game, so I can just imagine his reaction seeing this connect back to the original.
When a person loses something, they can it help but seek a reason why. Within themselves, or in others... They seek a concrete answer to the question of who they really are, deep inside. Such a very lonely existence... But perhaps that is what it is to be human...
Cook off: Pyra vs. Fiora
12:40 NOPON ARE NOT ON THE EVOLUTIONARY TREE
Easter egg: the elevator to the station is called "the Beanstalk" because Zanza lives at the top and Zanza is a giant.
Nathaniel Garro the station isnt called the beanstalk, the beanstalk is a term/title used for space elevators
The actual name is rhandamanthus
Amalthus climbs the beanstalk and steals the giant's two most precious treasures.
Only, he didn't do anything about it.
Xenoblade 2 is Jack and the Beanstalk with anime, mechs, and tiddies.
9:45 They've been speaking for five minutes and they only just notice that half of Klaus' body is a giant, swirling vortex.
Must have been dark
Well those light...stream things weren’t bright and the vortex is all black and purple, so it’s not far-fetched
god this scene is just so sad. after beating XC1 and replaying this game in NG+, i wanted to break down and cry.
Ah so the third core crystal is the red one, Look at alvis' necklace in xb1de
.......Who is Ontos? My mind immediately jumps to Alvis, but I need a second opinion.
S B I and many others agree with this theory
Find out in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
alvis i belive he core is under the key on his neck
rojobear24 , oh don't even joke about that.
joke about what
Oof watching Rex get emotionally tortured hurt me. Then this scene comes up and is a relief
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
THE ARCHETECT IS THE GOOD HALF OF KLAUS THE SCIENTIST; AND GOOD COUNTERPART/FOIL TO ZANZA?!?!?!?!?!!?
New3DSLUIGI364 yes the idea is based upon the left and right brain
New3DSLUIGI364 And shulk is the reincarnation of this same guy? He has the same face and voice as the guy
Seth foreal not a reincarnation
Man, my boy Rex went through the lowest low in his life, and he *still* thanked his creator for giving him life. You could see the look on Klaus's face just how much that impacted him. IT'S SUCH A POWERFUL SCENE!!!
Damn! I know who Galea is now, which makes this scene even more bloody poignant.
I'm waiting for them to REFERENCE bionis and mechonis
THECHIEF AMP they really can’t reference it more than enough with the Klaus scene. It’s literally the exact same scene and situation from Xenoblade Chronicles. It’s clear enough
Aion subtly references the Bionis and Mechonis form of Zanza with its colouration. Both final boss fights are dual white and black, and both get sliced down the middle by a green Monado. Due to being parallels one is biological, the other is robotic.
(It's basically confirmed that the Aegis Sword is a Monado, considering the evidence).
Funny you should mention that...
I recently saw a picture of Uraya stabbed with what looks like the Mechonis sword.
Who knows what'll happen
8:14 ... So... this pretty much confirms Xenosaga and Xenoblade are linked then, because there's no way that's not the Zohar right there. Which means, when the Zohar phase shifts away in Xenosaga 3, that is where is goes, to Klaus' original universe. Now if only I could find some way to get Xenogears in to some of this action, that would be the best orgy ever...
Its connected but they wont be able to reference it directly as Xenosaga rights are owned by (probably, dont remember) Bandai Namco
Monolift Soft made both games, and Kos-Mos is in this game, so they must have the rights if they're able to just put her in.
PlusOneGamer no, ever since Nintendo bought them, they lost rights to that series because it was published by namco, so it has the rights
I dunno how they got KOS MOS though
PlusOneGamer Artifices are deadass just gears.
I remember thinking that the Architect should apologize to them, and then he did a few seconds later. It really humanized him for me
I really wasn't expecting this when i played it, has to be one of the best surprises ever!
ZANZA
23:50 MEYNETH !!!!!!!!!!!!1111
Wirexin yeah I don't get why they changed the name
Sam Ringstrom The other half of Klaus became Zanza, mabye Meyneth changed her name as well?
lolwut Meyneth's name was Galea before she became a god.
Justuas no, it was still Meyneth
And pretty sure Fiora's chest piece on her mecha body is supposed to look like the trinity processor. Thats no coincidence given her connection both in xbc1 and by extension xbc2
God damn it rex I thought we were having a moment 21:01
Lucky that just yesterday they confirmed that XC3 will be enjoyed much more if you played 1 and 2 ;)
how do you all feel now?
21:00 I like that ending better besides rex can drink because he picked up galeas ID card and he could use her ID card to get a drink
can someone PLEASE tell what is the name of the music that plays from 21:24 to the end? It sounds so freaking good, and I've been trying to find it
Parker Thompson
A faint hope
is the song
from the feels of it the Wave Existance can not for some unknown reasons catch a break huh... disappear in xenogears after 10000 years of wanting to go back to its original dimension only to end up in Xenoblade
10:38 So is Klaus implying that there is some sort of higher god that exists within the xeno multiverse?
Erm...did you play Xenogears?
@@yuriski1 no please explain.
@@yuriski1 and what happenned with that God?
@@LeocaprioDinardo The Wave Existance is an important character in the plot of Xenogears.
As far as I remember the Zohar is destroyed at the end, so it can go back to where it came from.
god damn... klaus looks utterly dried up. and he sounds so sad. it's horrifying and weirdly heartbreaking seeing him like this when you compare how his other half had existed.
Wow this is so interesting that 24 minutes gone and passed like it was nothing 😅
The first part was just like they are his parents
Eduardo Hernandez wives*😏
neonblackbeast even better if ya know what i mean
Okay one thing that pissed me off is that they dont really explain what the Trinity Processor is. Is it a computer or is a collection of super computers used during Klaus' experiment? I assume the cores are used to power it. Does anyone have an idea as to what exactly it is?
It’s what Alvis described at the end of Xeno 1.
1:44 Pyra, you couldn’t sound angry if you wanted to.
So is Galea supposed to be Meyneth or someone else entirely just wondering
Yes, Galea is Meyneth
Flare LightRay specifically, Meyneth is Galea reincarnated, much like how Klaus other half reincarnated into Zanza in the other dimension
I accidentally skipped this cut scene so thanks
