We take a break fr om out regular series to take a look at the first part of Fishing Planet's 4th of July Event for 2019. We start off at Emerald Lake by looking for the location of an old statue of George Washington. Once found, we will be given clues as to the next portion of the quests!

You need to catch a historic walleye and historic pike using a rattlesnake worm and a patriotic lure. 5 of one and six of the other and then go back to the canoe and catch the box with the sword shard.
I ended up having to buy them. My luck stinks!

You need to purchase the lures from the store or get them from the flag or cannon with a little luck.

I have pulled cannonballs from the lake but haven’t tried to shoot them hmmm
I found the canoe the other day but it wouldn’t let me close to it but today I watched someone complete the sunken canoe challenge?not sure what that is?but I bet it’s all connected
It is. You're supposed to be able to snag a treasure chest from the canoe, but so far I cannot. You might have to catch all of the historic fish required before it works. I don't know that for sure.
Park bye the canoe and cast out into the lake area and you will find the chest

I've caught a 5.9lb historic walleye, i can't snag anything from anywhere, no lures no cannon balls all I get from the flag is fireworks, it's annoying.

Honestly, I have never gifted anything on FP, only on RF4.
I think u can only do a cannon once every 24 hours or else you get nothing. Same with the flag
these special events are not fair to low leval players forces them to buy
