Im having trouble getting the perch in the boat, once they are right under me. Am I missing a technique? it take me a while to grab the fish at the end.

I didn't comment on the video when I originally thought boat dragging was working differently on Ps5 than on Steam but now that I know that it works using the trolling motor to assist I approve of this change. Prior you just needed to reel in and the whole boat would just pull right up to fish without any other input from the player. That feels hella broken now that I know how to do it with the trolling motor.
Had previously tried one of the ocean rods at Congo but the reel speed was too fast for the retrieve method I use so I switched back to the Nilechasseur. Good to know it's just better to use those rods anyways.

yes i noticed the xp difference between the too rig but for mee i had more fun catching them fast with saltwater gear compare to nile chasseur , so far this is the best video on youtube to help people lveling to 90 , and thanks to mention my name in your video glad to help , keep the good work up and well done excecuted :)))))

i'm using the tropicana. its a bit lighter so i should get some more xp from that. Its also almost as strong as a nile chaser so fights dont seem to be longer. Now i havent actually tested this so i might be wrong lmao. Have a good one Dave

I don’t generally watch a vid and then return to make a comment but felt this one deserved it, I watched this vid on Wednesday and worked it for 6-8 hours till Thursday, I’ve been trying different tech’s for nile perch since last year and watched other vids and have mostly been catching young and regulars 80-90% of the time, Daves tech he shows in this vid has turned my catch Into 80-90% trophies and Uni’s and a few regulars and barely any young ones at all, some of the fine details I feel? were left out like keep the stop&go in the 2-3 dots preferably 3 dots a given, only fish during peak thats also a given and keep moving to a different spot after catching a Trophy or Uni but that hasn’t worked for me in the past, I caught 3 Uni’s in 10 min after watching this vid where in the past I caught 1 Uni per real day 24hrs and mostly young and regulars making it a long process to get XP to rank up, usually its been 3 real days 15-18 hours of fishing for 1 rank up but this vid got me from 83 to 84 in about 6-8 hours (I sound like a TV commercial shilling some product) 20 hours for 80-90 seems a little unbelievable? cause I’ve been playing since 2018 soooooo?. I’ve watched other Dave video’s and as a video Production Company owner (Neon Sky’s Productions) since 1997 feel that some fine details are left out leaving me without enough information to be successful maybe its me? But this vid actually helped so thanks for the time Dave…..

I caught a 489lbs marlin and it gave 61000exp also I found a way to make 230000exp in a hour on the new ocean map

I've been grinding Perch for the same reason thank you for the extra tips. Your videos always help out. Do you suggest Braid or Mono? I have been having some luck with Mono but I haven't really paid attention to the tackles modifier. I will try that spot more don't have great luck with it but I will adapt to it and figure it out. You are the best Soopa!!
Thanks for awesome comment I use braid just because it cast the furthest and can have the most on a reel. I have never noticed a difference in bite rate myself.

thank you for this info, im a noob at catching Nile Perch i have caught them on my shad and large minnows but i wasnt tring for them, tring to find Goliath Tiger Fish Spots haha, i have 1 spot for them that produces Goliaths, day and night, and the larger catfish at night as well
soopa dave i get around $200,000 to $250,000 worth of fish at congo with 1,366 pound keep net with premium,lucky me while spinning the wheel i got 1 day of premium,i target the goliath tigetfish mostly,i just got a uni tigerfish $42,000,nice payout....in one day
Haven't been on since ASA been out...previous to that been stuck on lvl 79 for a long time...went to catch sturgeon left to go catch taimen for that update...still lvl 79...good stuff tho...
I seem to catch one unique every in game day, ended up getting up to 6 on the leaderboard for biggest nile perch, for the recent patch notes the fish will be able to drag your boat around pretty fast again, so im gonna assume that the fish will be able to be even faster to reel in than before. But i have had a problem with fishing for perch during the day, i fish the same spot you showed throughout the video, but during the day i mainly catch catfish, and will only catch 3 or 4 perch, but during the night, i only catch perch with one or two catfish here and there, during the night i use the 6" glow shad with an 11/0 hook, and during the day i use a ribbed shad with a 11/0 hook aswell, not sure what im doing to only catch catfish but any help would be very much appreciated.
#14/0 helps get rid of catfish also fishing through helps and you can advance time any way you'd like
soopa dave,what do you get for levaling up to leval 81,82? i know probably for leval 83 you get whats in the new waterway DLC,AND UNLOCK THE NEW WATERWAY

My rotation legit doesn’t work anymore I spent an hour at my 3 spots with the same setup I used to get from 68-80 on perch and I caught one perch. This rotation got me from 68-80 in like 9 days
Nile perch is one of the species that recieves a bonus when caught on a lure setup. 10% cash / XP for common sized nile perch, and 12% cash / XP for unique sized nile perch. Apparently this bonus is not added for saltwater lure setups. Fun fact: Lure bonus for both tigerfish and cornish jack is about 20-21%, depending on if it is a common, trophy or unique.
Good Info! That may be, but there is a 20-25% difference between the gear. I find it odd it doesnt show it in the tackle modifier list
@@SoopaDaveGaming The 12% bonus I mentioned is confirmed cash bonus ( and atleast the same in XP ). I do not track the XP bonus on my spreadsheet, as that variest too much with the size of your setup. It would be a real pain to keep track of the exact numbers.. I know there is a XP bonus too for using lure setups, and it might be higher than the cash bonus, which would explain why you see a 20-25% increase.
Can you do videos on how to achieve the trophy’s for the game? Like the bronze silver and gold PSN trophies

You shouldn’t need tips for the fish specific trophies. Soopa can’t help with comp routing/advice, he doesn’t play them anymore. Only thing you can get help from him off is by watching his tourney streams and hoping you get the RnG for reaching the final.

@@SoopaDaveGaming A lot of perch up to 60 kg began to be caught. there were fewer dodges at the point. catfish up to 120 kg appeared
