I was hoping this movie didn't have gore. I'll give it a chance but I will be peeping through my fingers
lets be honest the real Chris died a long time ago.
@purefoldnz3070 Fragile white male egos. Population rate in USA couldn't go down fast enough. Ladies in America need to adopt the swift 4B Movement, Feminism is taking too long.
Fake reviews are piling up
@@purefoldnz3070lol what
If I had a nickel for every time Chris has said in a Kristen Stewart movie review that her performance was his new favorite of hers, I could probably retire
She has only been in around 45 movies so that doesn’t even make sense. 5 times 45 is 225. Let’s say he has only mentioned it 45 times then you would only have $2.25. So your comment doesn’t make sense.
@@tripleh4621 You must be fun at parties.

Anybody else feel like Stewart is morphing into Edward Furlongs doppelganger?
Outside of twilight which just sucks in general her acting for the most part is really good

I didn't catch that line. I was wondering if it necessary to make it take place at that time. Guess so.

I think he's talking about that misunderstanding that Jared From Subway was telling everyone "I have" in that South Park episode.

Movie theatres are so different in America haha
Damn straight.
Mostly black audience members do this.
How did black people become involved in this?
@@nanafffranreacts9398 by yelling at the screen.
Don't think this is racist. I remember going to see soul plane, whole movie theatre was going insane.
The last 20 minutes of this was incredible in a packed theater with 90% lesbians. Whole room erupted, from laughter to gasps
Ed Harris is the GOAT
Fun Fact: For his character, Ed Harris originally wore very long hair extensions as a joke, but the director decided to keep them in the film.
That sounds like one of those stories you make up for the interview circuit.
That was a mistake…Riffraff did it better!…😑

@PalaceDude Nah if you actually listen you can still tell.
I was actually planning on seeing Dune again, but I think I'm gonna give this a chance. Chris has this energy that's really infectious and I love that he keeps so much of the story untold and focuses on the actual filmmaking. Also the theater will probably be emptier than Dune's
As someone who loved "Into The Wild", it's awesome to see Kristen Stewart and Jena Malone in a movie together again after that movie
I was thinking Ed Harris and Jena Malone in Stepmom haha
@@nickbrew3071 I love Jena in Stepmom, I wasn't a fan of Ed's character in that movie tho
The way he described how he felt about the opening to this was how I felt about the opening to Iron Claw. I did not expect to enjoy that film as much as I did
A bloody drama with bodybuilders?? as a gym manager I already know I'm gona love it
Ayyyyeee
I saw this movie opening day back on March 8th in a super packed theater, and it was definitely a really fun and wild time. I think some things could’ve been handled better, but Katy O’Brian was hot as hell, Kristen Stewart continued to prove she’s an amazing actress who doesn’t deserve to be only remembered for Twilight, and I wasn’t expecting it to become a psychological horror akin to Black Swan in the second half of the movie. I’m definitely checking out Saint Maud now and can’t wait to see more movies from Rose Glass in the future.
I cannot freaking wait to see this movie! Everything about it gets me amped. Not to mention I love Kristen Stewart, and I love that she is actually a lesbian playing a lesbian role. Instead of a random actor acting. I hope this does well at the box office so we can get more movies like this. It looks very original. I’m so damn tired of comic book movies, remakes, large franchises, and extended universes.
Simp
I have to mention Society of the Snow on Netflix. It was a surprisingly good movie. Difficult watch, but very accomplished.
💯
No, it is not.
It is the third rehash and cheap copy of VIVEN (they live) from the 80s based on the book of the same name.
Only this time all the production and actors are Spanish, who speak Spanish from Spain interpreting Uruguayans.
And whose meaning to show again how they cannibalize Parrado's mother after days buried in the snow is because 98% after returning from the Andes remained lazy communists living off subsidies and royalties from books and movies and when they They are running out of money, they appear in political campaigns supporting communist candidates and letting them make new movies for the donkeys.
Because the only decent ones who worked honestly were Parrado and Canesa.
Don't say something is good when you don't know even 1% of why that something exists.
@@joriei Are you okay?
@@joriei the actors are Uruguayans and Argentinians not Spanish and that´s already something better that has Society of the Snow, among other things.
Kristen Stewart is honestly getting better in recent years and i respect her for that. She deserves movies like this to flex her muscles as an actress. That Oscar nomination for Spencer was just her beginning to improve, she will become a much more respectable actress in the future ❤
I´m still angry she didnt get that Oscar.
She can only play films when you don't need to use any facial expressions. She has like 1 emotion , it worked in Spencer but it doesn't work with everything

I just fucking love how Chris didn't give a flying fuck about the whole controversy about his take on the Madame Web movie and just keeps doing his videos like he has ever done: it's all about films, not social media drama. I love you Chris (since 2014).

Why is his Sony video where he mentions Madame Web controversial?
It's wild you mentioned No Country because this entire film kept reminding me of experiencing it for the first time at the cinema in 07. And just like No Country, my only complaint is I could have used another hour runtime. Love Lies Bleeding is fantastic.
I really liked this movie. Strange ending. The red flashbacks as opposed to the typical b&w was a nice flourish. It reminded me of Mandy at times & that is a compliment. Great casting too.
Lisa Frankenstein is the latest movie I've seen that fits your question about a film not being able to live up to the promise of the opening, for me. I enjoyed the film alright, but the animated title sequence/backstory sequence was so well done and wonderfully stylized that I expected the rest to be at that level.
The ending was way too abrupt for me too
@@GrosvnerMcaffrey right?? It felt like there was a whole sequence missing!
Can't wait to see this one. I am an Ed Harris fan myself. As well as Kristen Stewart. I liked her in Camp X-ray.
The only time I've ever experienced a uniquely uproarious reaction in a movie theatre, and I'll always remember this, was Rob Roy. The scene where they've captured Liam Neeson and are walking him back to be hung, and then on the bridge he wraps his rope around Tim Roth's neck and jumps off the bridge. The theater went f*cking nuts. Full on cheering and clapping like I'd never seen before or since.
Thank you Chris for being you and giving me so much enjoyment over the last several years.
Went to see it last night. And all i can say to describe this movie was like a magnet the movie just holds you the acting the shots of the sky, and then that ending…. Thank you because i was going to wait to watch the movie at home but your recommendation made me go to the Theater… and i had forgotten the director of Saint Maud directed this… any movie she directs from now on a must watch..

What’s the update on your film Chris, id love to get a look at it sometime!

Kristen Stewart didn’t have to act for this character, she is that character 😂
This movie crossed between Boys Don’t Cry and No Country for Old Men even Monster 2003. This movie has potential that A24 films just establishing the old nostalgia style of filmmaking. Kirsten Stewart just finally on one of the best R rated movies ever made. Great review, Chris. 😊
a bit of Bound too
Stewart was hilarious in Crimes of the Future. There's a whole section where she fangirls out and creeps out Viggo Mortison
This movie just felt disjointed to me. No pun intended. Felt like the writer was on acid and it kicked in 3/4 in. I found it quite intriguing but the end sequence just didn’t feel like it fit. However I see your point. I feel like if this were a 90s movie I’d be exploding with joy over it. Absolutely obscure
So excited to see this. Absolutely loved Katy O’Brian in the Mandalorian. So happy she’s getting more work
Saw an online review of her Mandalorian character where the reviewer called her "female Mario Lopez", and now I can't un-see it, although she's very pretty in this. I won't be seeing it, though because Kristen Stewart. Ugh.
