Currently nursing a BA Falcon through its dying days, been a great car but the interior plastic quality was awful and the centre console/aircon/radio is dead due to suspected wiring loom detaching from inside the dash. Known weak point on BA's apparently. Love to own an FG one day, great vids!

I assume this kit will fit onto the BF XR6T with ZF6 trans, I'm working on a project car and this looks like a good upgrade to include.

@@georgeauto only the V6 models, at least the higher badged editions. Same as the VZ SV6 and Calais, wasn’t available on the V8 models.
Looks so sick but the shifts seem a bit slugish
yeah it shifts exactly like the sick (same time) box is stock though getting old now, thats next
stock, the transmission in manual mode feels slugish already, you can get it tuned to shift a lot quicker for the turbo zf as they can take a fair ammout of abuse and shift super quick when tuned right, not sure how well getting an na zf tuned will compare, i doubt its the actual kit bc the signal should be almost instant

When you say they won't work with an aftermarket gearbox, do you mean turbo 400/ glide conversion?
Or will they not work with a rebuilt zf?
They will work on ZF yes , not turbo 500

How quickly does the paddle shift set up revert to drive? Because one thing I have found frustrating when using the manual gate in an automatic car is that they sometimes revert to drive far more quickly than I would like.
Instantly if you just click the gear lever back to normal drive , paddles only work in tiptronic
@@georgeauto It's just that mine tends to override my shifts, for some reason, but only when I am slowing down. Despite being on the +/- gate, it begins to function like an automatic again.

Being an automatic, any reason you can’t just leave it in D and not worry about changing gears?
Because thats a good way of blowing up your trans in a modded falcon. Controlling the shifts yourself decreases the chances of your input shaft from snapping.
I think this is why my stock ZF is still holding on
How do you activate the cruise if the factory level is gone?
There is a button for it in the new buttons , CCS on it
