her range was huge in the old days. Dionne often said Bacharach knew how far to stretch the cords before something broke...such greatness they left us.
This is fabulous! I didn't know she had those low notes in the beginning in the 60s already. I always thought she gained the lower register when her voice became lower altogether (through smoking).
I adore her. Please "For once in my life" i d like see her sing this song.
Dionne had a very quiet fire kinda of soul and this is a perfect example of what she can do! WOW! Thanks for sharing this!
marknorthwest93 Thankyou Mark once again for the kind comments...just wish it was a little better quality.

I have read that she was not fond of this song and decided not to perform this, yet here she is. Cool!
WOW! She knocked that one out of the park. Great vintage post!! Thanks!

Wish that Dionne had recorded more like this. Thank you.
The record did very poorly. Someone from a record store gave my father a free copy of this record as no one was buying it.
Incredible range.
And the backing vocals are even higher and oh so tight. Aunt Cissy Houston I'm sure.
You can hear Dee Dee , Cissy and Sylvia or her sister Judy singing background on this one
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
