    Fountains make beautiful designs with water. There are a few in my town but there are mostly tiered fountains and wall fountains. It was cool to see how these fountains are made :)

      The black pvc pipes you refer to are probably ABS plastic. ABS is usually used for drainage (they are not designed to withstand pressure).

    The pump is or really looks like a deep (drilled) well pump. Both have six impeller stages and are long and thin like that, resembling a stainless steel shogun antenna.

    I was always scared to swim in natural reservoirs because of all these pumps that can suck you in. This one will not, but if you get close to it it may still create enough force to drag you to it, or grab your lose clothes, etc. I hate them!

    • @williams6550
      @williams6550 Před 8 lety +1

      +Rus Tar "Natural reservoirs"... do you mean... a lake? Where are you swimming that has a bunch of these fountains anyways? Perhaps it would behoove you to swim someplace other than two feet from said fountains. But it has been a year since your post...maybe you got sucked into one already.

    • @EvanC0912
      @EvanC0912 Před 9 lety +8

      Jon Jo Well, how many fountains are built each year? The forecast demand wouldn't justify for mass production. Besides, these fountains may be customised according to the customer's wants. A lot of factories don't do mass production. Surprise, surprise.

    This show should be broken into "How it's Assembled" for boring episodes like this one and "How it's Manufactured" for the cool episodes with the foundries and automatic assembly lines. I'd rather see how that water pump is made (including the forging of all the metal components) than watch a bunch of unskilled labourers tighten some nuts and slide some PVC together.
