Was about to get ready to start my day. Then I see this. My day can wait 😂 🤙
Oh man haha, best comment if the day buddy! Enjoy my friend!
Sick dude! 50mph on that thing thing is SCARY! As always, packed with info and entertaining as heck! Can’t wait to see this finished! YEEEEWWW!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the vid! It’s a fun project for sure and one I’m stoked to finish and share with everyone. Cheers!!
Makes me think back to when I was in that area, I never had a pre-searver on either!
Hahaha. Times have changed indeed. Especially the last 5 years… crazy development/ growth here. :/.
@@diywaterworldI chose FP because of south jetty windsurfing back when FP was the fastest growing city.
🌴🤣 that’s one way of blowing the glass dust off ya 👍🏼 it rips, what’s going in for flotation ? 🤔 Hummm , everybody watching , could there possibly be another Bahama run with this boat ! Is Forrest going to make it in record time , I guess will just have to watch and see 😳 👍🏼👊🏼
Yewwww!!! Ripper. Ha! Look forward to the rest of the build.
Wow! A whole lot of something out of nothing...😂 good job!!
Cool boat can't wait get my dog back on boat to many stitches
Thank you and good luck on getting back out there!
Let's GO!!
Yewwww!!! Cheers buddy!
Hey Forest, You might want to take a look at the Makita 9031 belt sander. Maybe it wil help you grind in some different angles compared to the disc grinders you use. You can also vacuum collect the dirt that wil come off your project.
This sander works very wel for me so I thought to let you know !
keep posting those video's I love it !!
What a funky build - and that motor - wow!
Awesome. Love seeing the boat progress. 19" pitch prop is sick for the hole shot. It gets to max rpm quick! That thing probably has 10 mph more in it with more pitch but less practical
You’re 100% correct! Super sick hole shot with current setup and actually could also be raised 2 holes which at 50 mph would result in a couple mph increase as well. Maybe I’ll throw a bigger prop on it just for the heck of it! 😎. Cheers!
Best way to spend my lunch break
Heck yes! Glad to spend lunch with you ! Bon appetit!
Your videos are so bad ass man can’t wait for part 3!!
Nice !
Right on! Have a safe flight and enjoy! Cheers!
It's so refreshing how you look at every project and make it it's own thing and don't just turn every boat into a "perfect" looks just like every other center console... I love these old hulls waiting to see the finished product!!!
Ocean Cowboy!!!
I realized after seeing the footage that I was wearing that shirt and instantly thought of you and your comment once you saw it. 😂 cheers bud!
PERFECT! Zip, zip, zoom! :)
Whoooot! You got that right ! Cheers!
Ah perfect timing about to start building for the day, every time I see a new vid posted it makes my day
A bit of video motivation!
Hahaha. Heck yeah! Love this comment, big cheers to you, have a great day!
@@shize9ine yeah buddy!! 💪🏼
I have a 20 foot center council with a 150 hp Yamaha. I topped out at 49.7 mph. Couldn't trim it out anymore to hit the magic 50! 😅
well Im going to put a thumbs up on this video and every video you put out. If just a few more viewers get together and thumbs up every video . .. I cant believe you dont have atleast 25000 viewers . Ive got a 31 Bertram that could be a great DIY video !!!!!!!
i bet with a half tank of fuel an one man an the right trim it would do 50, then theres the 4 blade props.... lol....
got to be the neatest fishing boat ive seen in years its just so light in weight, she just needs a bucket of paint shes a beaut clark :D
Stay blessed out there guys !
Thanks so much for this. I’m stoked you like it so far and heck yes… I think we could free up sone mph if we wanted to! Stay tuned buddy! Cheers
Whewwwwww!!!!!!!!! HELLLLL YEAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yewwww! Yeah buddy! Wish you were here for the test run! Maybe Leroy Jenkins test run on the horizon?! 💪🏼😎
@diywaterworld even though im home it felt soo good seeing that aquasport skipping along!! LEROYYYYYYYY Jenkinsss!! Definitely ready to splashh
Awesome. I was thinking around 35 mph. It is 200hp. Great video
Thanks so much, yeah , it’s a pretty big motor and honestly just a bit too much Hp and speed. 😬. I’d be very content with 100-130 hp. :)
I have a aquasport osprey 175 with a 90 hp johnson looper converted to premix and 115 carbs top speed for me is 41
She’s a Ripper!!!!
She’s a screamer! Awesome funky build!
Loving this series so far. Terrifyingly fast with that 200 😮
looks fun
looks like my 96 OMC Sunbird hull
That’s a pretty good guess! It’s actually an old 19’ mako 😎👊🏼. Probably be sharing the build vid next month. You’ll have to check it out!
Really like the forward helm. Gives better balance to the boat and a much clearer view for the captain..... I'm with you on the speed thing. 20 or 25 knots is fine but it's best to be able to do that at about half throttle. My skiff tops out around 46 and I've only done it twice. Most of the time I don't even do 25.
Jackplate and higher pitch prop!!
So, I have a question. How do the individual areas drain? I haven’t noticed any drain ports.
Awesome Project. Love it
I’m guessing the hull on the other boat is a Mako. Love this aqua sport.
You hit the mail on the head! An old 19’ mako! And thanks so much, I’m really happy with how it’s turning out so far. :) cheers!

I had a 200hp mercury 2stroke on a 17ft Carolina skiff old school an ran it at 80mph...
I got to catch a plane have watch a little later
Right on! Safe travels!
Im hoping to build a skiff soon, I was looking at the FRS-16 kit. I need a decent sized deck that I can secure a wheelchair down in to as my goal is to take people with disabilities onto the water and on adventures. we mainly do river, lake/creek, and some flats stuff. So that's all I will need for this boat. Any suggestions on boat I might be able to convert. Im looking for a project but am an AK Amputee myself so not looking for too terrible much of a rebuild
Do you have a video on the epoxy chalk mixing ?
Thanks
Hi there, I do not but I’m happy to explain in some detail. Shoot me an email and I’ll forward you some tips! Cheers!
💪💪💪💪
What's the purpose of extending the gunnells for?
When will you post more??
Glass par
Looks like an old mako hull.
those old makos were bomb proof
Ding ding ding! You got it buddy! Be sure to keep an eye out for the full vid, it’s a really cool ride , fully composite/epoxy built! Cheers!
@@BeamerTheFoxit truly is! When we built it/ cut a hole in the bottom, it was well over 1.5 inches of solid glass!! 🤯. Truly a tank!
Why the HPDI?
43mph
Mako 19
Is hull you showed a Morgan?
Hi there, it’s actually an old 19’ mako. Stay tuned for the upcoming build video! It’s actually most detailed/complicated build I’ve done so far! 😅
68mph I say I had a 115 evinrude on the 17ft an did 56mph lmao 😂😂😂
If it’s overheating why you have it still running when your at the dock
How long does it take to get to the bahamas from florida on a shift like that?
Great question Mark! Depending on ocean conditions , and which island, 3-4 hrs at a moderate cruising speed would be a solid guesstimate if departing from Stuart ( destination Grand Bahama ) . from Miami to Bimini is only 49 miles and could easily be done in 2-3 hrs. :) cheers buddy!
Cool..
