The only time I've seen Time-Lost Proto Drake was when I was lvl 77 during Wotlk and I pulled it, died, and it flew away never to be seen again

I've seen (heard) it twice. First time it killed me. Second time I had npcscan, or silver dragon, up and running and my computer screamed at me. Said it was detected but never saw it.
I've seen it once, I didn't get it though.
I haven't played WOW since Cata but I got time-lost. I was doing dailys back in Wotlk days and I ran into that MFer. It's the mount I'm most proud of.
I saw it ONCE alive, twice dead. The one time I saw it alive I was on the damn rocket from K3 to Frosthold. No way to get off the rocket. GRRRRR.
I ran into Aeonnax a few months ago while levelling a character through deepholm for loremaster... The minute or so it took for me to relog onto my priest and get to him from SW may have been one of the most stressful minutes of my life lol

While leveling my paladin in sholazar, he spawned almost right in my face. The joke was I spent 6 months camping on my hunter.
got it in cata when i played my alt, just respeced the first time to enhance, didnt even had full gear. i paniced when i engaged him cause i didnt even know how the event works, shoutet at my friends to tell me how to play enhance sham asap and how the event works x)
I saw it on my shammy alt- I did not know it dropped a mount. :,)
Time lost protodrake was made a little easier because people in a group could get it which is how I got it. Could not believe some people were nice enough to taunt it for tag and then wait 20 mins for all to arrive

It doesn't take more than 10 minutes to get from anywhere to amywhere in this game. The abundance of portals just doesn't make existence of long distances possible.

If you enjoy something because its rare, rather than it being cool by itself, you dont enjoy it, simple as that. I'd reccoment not farming something if you're going to cry everytime it gets easier to farm for the rest of the people.
@@XochiCh many ppl enjoy hunting for rare things, if everyone and their mother could easily get a time lost proto drake, believe me, it wouldnt be such a well known and desired mount ( or atleast used to be desired since its alot easier to obtain nowadays then it was back in the day)
or even the heavenly cloud onyx mount, do you rly think ppl only still try to get it just because of how it looks? its the fkn rarity that makes ppl want it, thats the same with most mounts on this list.

Dishonorable mention to the Ivory Cloud Serpent: 4 hour spawn timer in the air with a 10 second window to activate after finding a random drop from a mob in 8.3 Pandaria only during Mogu Invasion.

I was so obsessed with getting void talon I started having dreams about getting to the portal and it despawning. Finally got it and the camel. Time to go do some archeology until shadowlands
I used to farm it without flying in Draenor, and I eventually got it by pure luck in SMV, i was just going to check the spawns and quit for a while, then I see the portal, lol (There was a guy near camping it, and the portal just spawned at the next spot from him, and I was the one that got it xD).
I must not have realized, when I got my camel, how hard it was to get. I remember I got it after spending a couple of days of effort. To realize it could have taken me much longer makes me shudder now.
Handy notes helped me so much with void talon. I just did my rounds whenever I would usually just be doing backflips in storm wind and the portal just appeared! Def don’t give up 💕

My roommate was camping for this mount and of course nothing. We had to leave for some reason, I cannot remember why, but as he was about to log it spawned. We both screamed like idiots, he stopped the log out timer and got the mount.
Remember a time a friend and I was waiting for one the gronns in WOD to spawn. After approx 18hours I decided to call it.
1 hour later he had his gronn mount.
After the queuing crap had been fixed, me and 2 other former guild mates would join hunting groups to farm Sunhide (the Gronnling mount) but didn’t have much luck.
Oh man did they get pissed when I decided to skip raid night to stay in a Sunhide kill group. About 15 minutes after their raid started, Sunhide spawned and the group I was in all got Sunhide.
I bought mine from the Auction House :/
a IRL friend invited to a group camping that rare and it spawned as soon as i came to the spawn point they were camping (apx 5 min or so)
I am pretty sure the other event mounts are all 1%, EXCEPT for the love rocket, that one has a 0.05% chance to drop iirc
It's 0.033%, or 1/3333; and you only get about 14 tries per character per year
all WB Mounts are 1/2000, Love rocket is 1/3000 and u can only do 2 weeks a year, definitely not 1%
I got all the other mounts from events in a single year. Further 9 years of farming this mount on 9 characters and i have never seen it drop

I actually saw Aeonaxx when Cataclysm was released, and I was the first one on my server to arrive at Deepholm. Didn't bother to even tag it because it was 3 levels higher than me, and I didn't know of the mount back then.

I saw it the first time I went to deepholm which was well after the expansion was current. Could have soloed it easy but just didn't know it had a drop.

I spent literally an entire weekend, with maybe 3 hours of sleep a night to get the Tol'Vir arch mount lol, It made me so happy when you said only 8% of players have it lol bc im not a mount collector but i love the sythlid mounts

Pro Tip for people wanting to the the Void Talon: Park an alt somewhere around Socrethar's Rise in shadowmoon valley, and log tuesday right after the reset and look around for the portal, there are 3 spawn points there iirc. I did that and got it in 2 weeks in WoD. I also had seen it there 3 or 4 other times after that just by accident.
What i did is I parked an alt at in each zone near the spawn points and would just alternate checking. I woke up early one day and logged on to check the spawns and luckily one of the ones in Frostfire ridge was up and nobody was around.
Can confirm, that’s where I got mine

By the time you finally got it, how long did you have to wait since the reset on that day? A few minutes? A few hours? If it were me, I'd wait at Frostfire Ridge, since it also have 3 spawn points that are close to each other.

Khanmanlol the 2nd week on reset i flew around a few seconds and i saw the portal. To put it better: i was logged in before reset. Servers went down, and i did came back after 45 mins to see if the servers were back on, and they were, so this was 7:45 ish i logged and flew around Socretar's Rise. Saw the portal the first time i flew on the area in front of the burial grounds, you know, on the face of the mountain in a small ledge. Hope that helps.

After soling Stonecore (back in MOP, when it was time consuming to solo) , 97 times over a 72 hour period, I finally got the "Vitreous Stone Drake" and was hyped. I stepped outside the instance and thought, while in deepholm might aswell try my luck some more for "Phosphorescent Stone Drake", So i set out (with no addons, just a /Target Aeonaxx macro).
literally after about 2 laps round, the spawn. In under 10mins, I targetted the freindly npc Aeonaxx, did the mount event thing, and obtained the Phosphorescent Stone Drake.
Got both Stone Drake drops within about 15mins of each other.
I've been trying for the Headless Horseman's Reins for years...
I got it on my first try many many years ago :(

I've been going for that mount since catacylsm, haven't gotten it, a bud of mine started in legion, did it when it was out and got the mount within a week (ish) I hate WoW sometimes
You should have been here in 2010 where they just gave it out like candy... Before that it was super rare

True story: Wasn't really farming the TLPD hardcore but had an addon for rares so was just checking each time I was in the Storm Peaks. I was just south of the copperpot base at Ulduar and decided to go make a Pot Noodle. Literally was gone for 30 seconds to boil the kettle. Got back and the damn thing was lying dead at my feet. I logged out and quit for 6 months
i got it by accident, was headin towards Ulduar at around midnight, no addons or anything...saw the thing flying down a clif, flew by and thought to myself "wait a minute...was that" ? and yeah i killed it with one blow in mid air, it fell and landed on a spot where u could not loot it x) i was ragin and made a gm ticket, got it in the Mail an hour later tho from the NPC that sends you the good stuff you forgot to loot
the takeaway for me here is: time to level 40 alts.
Just earned the Heavenly Onyx Cloud serpent, been at it for a few months and got really lucky! So damn happy
All these “% of players” sound way too high
The only places I've found online that track stuff like this are sites that are opt-in. I'm assuming the numbers in the video are from one of these, so "% of players" is probably % of mount collectors.
@@slowandpaneful Yeah, this is propbably the case. Those who even go on these sites are probably hardcore WoW players / collectors so the numbers are probably multiple times higher than they actually are. A lot of casuals don't even bother buying all the racial mounts and the really easy ones.

I still remember getting my Phosphorescent Stone Drake back in Cata... and the Grey Riding Camel. The sheer amount of time it took was absurd. Good memories, but I don’t have that kind of time to spend, anymore 😂
I love how things have been skewed a bit. I was hunting for Vyragosa for weeks to finish off the Frostbitten achievement. Saw the stupid TLPD dead 3 times before I finally found Vyragosa alive. (found her dead twice)
Getting two groups of people of opposite factions and taking turns killing each other does indeed work, and was how I got my Ashhide mount during the final months of Warlords of Draenor.
Took a few hours to get all the coins because we had each side get about 10 minutes or so to kill the opposite faction, then they would swap, rinse and repeat until you had all 500 coins.
We did it in Shadowmoon Valley (WoD) and it was a breeze, so glad I got it done back then because doing it the normal way did not seem fun.

Saw it drop twice during the first year it was available, lost the roll both times stopped bothering with mounts after that.
I’ve done the same. I think if I actually ever got the love rocket I’d die of shock. Of course, you always hear about the people who get it randomly with no effort and had no idea how rare and difficult it is to get... 😂
I know of two people that got this mount and did so within their first few runs. I'm happy enough to get the brewfest mounts xD.
As someone who has Aeonaxx and Time Lost I can say Time lost is easier. The spawn TLPD shares stays up until killed and is easy to spot. The bat that shares Aeo's spawn timer on the other hand is a battle pet sized mob that is only up for exactly 15 seconds before despawning so unless it spawns right in top of you your chance of missing it high. I camped Aeonaxx for 17 days straight with my longest shift being 31hrs and my average shift being 10hrs. During that time I only saw the bat once. I saw Aeonaxx once previously to getting the mount but was killed swiped by a random who just happened to log in at the right time. When I finally did get him it was in WM just as I was about to log off and call it quits for the day.
I'm pretty sure that if I went to hell for whatever reason, my punishment would be running skyreach 12,500 times
5:50 Phosphorescent Stone Drake - I used to hunt this one! Never got it lol but these are one of my best WoW memories. People would install the NPC Alert addon and just camp this guy for days on end, turning the spearker loud so that when the mob spawns, they'll wake up if they fell asleep. Absolutely unique experience, a real hunt and a real devotion.
Totally nailed it there. I spent 7 hours left from the month card before I got it. That was with camping every moment I wasn't at work. The last week I slept in front of the screen with an alarm to wake me just before it afk logged. Think I got maybe 5 hours the entire week. Man was I a bear for awhile lol.
when i found voidtalon i actually cried, and i found camel recently and my dad was SO mad he was like "i found so many of those in cata and you find it in bfa???? amazing, honestly."
This is a newer one as of 8.3, but it's bound to be frustrating to farm: Mollie the Alpaca mount. Since it only drops from a BFA world boss, you can only make an attempt for it once per character every 6 weeks, assuming your character is 120 and has world quests unlocked.
My fiance told me about mollie a couple of weeks ago. We got into a group and went to try to get her. He wanted her SO BAD. We both hit the boss...
First try I got her. He didn't. He has to now wait 3 weeks to try again 😅
TLPD was imho the most fun mount to hunt. Flying there in the late and early hours, /who to see how much competition you have, following the three flight paths it shared with Vyragosa, killing Skoll in the valley at every opportunity for that sweet 15g blue he dropped and occaisionally jumping into PvP moshpits at Ulduars meeting stone.
Good times.
And legions of hunters hated you with a passion for killing the lightning warg.
The Silent Glider from Soundless is an incredibly annoying mount. A 1% drop on a rare with an 8 hour spawn timer that can spawn in multiple different places.
I can't understand why it's not on the list, it's definitely way worse than a few mounts mentioned here. The only plus side is people sometimes make a group for it.
Not to mention, it can be hunter tamed. Let that sink in.

@@Rectumanable It's 0.5% afaik, took me just over 580 soundless kills to get it according to rarity. Wife was going crazy with the groups going up in the middle of the night. I finally got it though!
Surprised the Madness of Deathwing mounts didn't make this list, not because of the low drop rate, but the fact you have to do the spine fight

Agreed. I farmed both of those mounts and it took forever. I had three drops each for for the Life-Binder's Handmaiden and Experiment 12-B before the Blazing Drake finally, finally dropped. Spine slowed things down so much. Brutal grind.

By the time I finally got every single mount from Dragon Soul, I had done the Spine of Deathwing fight so many times on so many characters almost every week (minus the occasional months-long breaks I took every now and then) since WoD that I could prolly do it now while asleep and with my hands bound, playing on my toes. And yes, it was tough and super chaotic for me during those first few times, but nowadays I realize Spine is actually really easy once you take the time to figure out how it works. All it needs is a little patience.

Farming Aeonaxx was such a hassle, waiting for days and power-napping in between but am so thankful it finally worked out
I had the terrified pack mule drop for me at random while I was getting ganked in Drustvar for a world quest.
After I ressurrected for the 69420th time, I killed a single bat that dropped it. I sold It at the AH for about 400k gold.
I remember my first ever sha run I was a measly fresh level 90 warlock with 475 gear and I'm pretty sure I did the least dps in the raid party... then once the sha died boom there it was the heavenly onyx cloud serpent I didn't even know it was a rare mount and everybody congratulated me I didn't have the heart to tell them I didn't even have the cloud serpent riding skill yet.
I remember it well. During Wrath while in Dalaran I grew tired of seeing so many alliance players with time lost. I tabbed out, looked up his spawn locations, flew towards K3, and the village just NW of K3 I spotted him in the distance. Pulled him, killed him, mounted up, and flew back to Dal to show him off. Did not realize at the time exactly how rare of a spawn he was. All in all, from my interest in him till I had him was less than 15 mins. I realized later how impossibly lucky I was and it became my favorite mount to this day.
I went to the island Gunther Arcanas is at and I'm pleased to announce that even after the battle of Undercity he is indeed still chillin on his island

I think I remember reading somewhere that the sword has the same drop rate as the horse, got that damn thing 3 times before I finally got the mount.
Funny story about the Time-Lost Proto Drake and me. At the time, a good portion of my realm was taking a small reprieve from WoW to poke around in D3 when it launched, so I decided to work on farming the achievement for killing all the rares in Northrend and Outland. So I fly over to Storm Peaks to try to find Vyragosa for my list and think, "Oh, I should probably add TLPD to my rare tracker just in case." I kid you not, I tabbed out of the game to find the code to add to my addon, and when I tabbed back in, I was super shocked to find TLPD had spawned right in front of me. Killed it and got the mount, but oddly had to wait several more weeks before I would finally find Vyragosa. Weird how these things work out sometimes.
So I have been camping the TLPD for almost 5 days straight now. Saw 15 Vyragosas and 1 Proto that died just a spot away from me.
Today I try again and get in the nicest group of 5 people. Couple hours in I refresh my CZcams and see your video.
I watch it and question myself again with " what the hell am I doing here.." 10 minutes later it spawns right at my spot and we all have a beautiful new mount.

I had timelost proto back in the day. Surprisingly I killed it while levelling being 77. xp bar was almost full. Got level up to 78 from killing the rare enemy. Tried to mount. „Requires Level 80“
I was for sure hoping to see the Sandstone Drake on this list, lmao. Tol'Vir archeology, collect jars, I think it's a 1% drop chance for the recipe from those jars. Kinda on par with the battle tank but since you can taxi your friends around with it, it's highly farmed for but takes the rng of not only getting the jars to make with the archeology fragments, but the rng of the recipe to drop from said jar.
Edit: Recipe is an alchemy recipe to make the drake.

I feel you. I think I had over 500 attempts before taking a break from WoW (which I'm still on). A friend of mine got it on about his 10th XMOG run of ICC. And according to him (I'm not sure if he's telling the truth or not) two copies dropped at the same time.

The drone from the updated Uldum in 8.3. Lots of dailies, followed by a suckerpunch when the dailies swap out for pet battles. When you have a grand total of like 5 max pets, you replace the mount grind for a pet grind so you can get back to the mount grind.
just an added note on blood seeker for the bat. the bat doesn't stay up. it was put there to troll people using npc scan, the bat only stays up for about 5 seconds then despawns. now that npc scan doesn't work as it use to, its almost impossible to know the spawn timer with the 9 / 10 chance of the bat and 1/10 chance of aeonaxx.
I started playing on EU servers, the first time I went into the zone I found time lost protodrake, not knowing how rare and annoying to get, I wasn't that excited, until my friend told me how hard it was to get.

The 4 Mists of Pandaria world bosses have a 0,05% chance of dropping the mounts. If you use your bonus roll every week on one charakter, it takes on average 20 years before you see it drops. But only with your bonus roll, otherwise it's about 40 years.
bonus rolls don't count for mount drops iirc

Back in Wrath before I went to bed I'd park my lock in Storm Peaks with the volume cranked so if the TLPD was spotted my NPCscan alarm would go off waking me up. One morning I woke up and the pop up notification for it was still on my screen... I slept right through it.

I sold soooo many thundering rubies. Farming those shards is a nightmare, but there is a necklace in old shattrath sold by a goblin that SEEMS to increase the drop rate.

6:25 When I was farming this mount, I talked to a GM who claimed that the Blood Seeker spawn was a myth, and it was, in fact, not currently in the game files. I cannot confirm or deny this, but I never encountered the Blood Seeker after days of farming, but I did get the mount.
You can also buy restored artifacts with Spirits of Harmony in your factions shrine in Vale of Eternal Blossoms in Pandaria through the Spirit of Harmony vendor. Imo the easiest method to get the tank.

Years ago, I farmed for the Time Lost, had the annoying alert add-on , the one time it ever went off was for Vyragosa. I have never known such a gut punch in my life.
There is a hyper spawn location for the Drustvar one on top of a cave, I got it 2 days ago.

Still, rivendares charger is even more rare than that ahha. I seen a lot of mount offs but never seen someone jump on barons mount during the competition.
18:58 Spent an entire Fall break watching for this mount while watching toons on the TV. One day i got up to pee and ran back to my laptop, saw someone kill it, loot the mount, and fly away on it.

I have the phosphorus stone drake, some guildies were farming it and it was up at midnight for me (thank God I decided to stay on). I asked if I could join the group to get the mount and I'm so happy
I remember the ravenlord mount being pretty bad cuz it required someone to be on a druid class quest to even enter that part of the dungeon and then it couldnt even fly.
My husband the first time playing wow in Uldum found the figurine and got the camel. I had to wait 3 more years till I got mine T_T

Holy crap, I didn't know the Frightened Pack Mule was so rare! It was the first BfA mount that dropped for me, pretty early on in the expansion too.
It's possible it was bugged-- I know the hyena one had a bugged drop rate for a couple of days. As in, the decimal point was in the wrong place sort of bugged.
I have the #3 Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent, dropped it when I was looking for gear to my MoP character, back in that time :D
Ok, so I have returned to wow just for the summer and so I don't have any friends who play.
But I have to share this, I got invincible last night!
By far my best wow experience to date, I have wanted that ever since I saw the mount the first time.
My DK is finally going to look as cool as I always dreamt she woul!

Headless horseman mount should have had an honorable mention. I've heard players have been trying for it for years. Got mine in 08, didnt know how hard it was.
It is fun though to mount up after HH is killed, reactions of some people are priceless.
And yes, I can be an asshole at times.

My gf and I got it on the same day a week ago after trying... well... this year only. Doesn't say much because she basically is the luckiest WoW player I know, e.g. she got the recipe for the vial of the sands after like 5 tol'vir solves...

Interesting story behind how I got my Aeonaxx kill. I actually got it at about 6am on Christmas Day, 2010. I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I did a lap of Deepholm and he was there. Was one of the first on my server to get it. Later the same day, someone I got talking to about it messaged me at about 12:30, having found and killed the Time-Lost Proto Drake as well, as he went and camped it after being enthused by my Aeonaxx kill! I ticketed a GM about it to query whether or not this was intentional, as it was Christmas day, and he confirmed that it was not planned at all, and we were very lucky to have had both spawn on the same day within hours of each other, and on Christmas no less! I did have a screenshot saved somewhere of it, but haven't been able to find it yet, so may need to do some digging for it

I guess if you are not willing to put any effort into something yeah, then everything is annoying. But the problem then is your lazy attitude rather than the game's mechanics (although some stuff is more than tedious to get I will give you that).
@@frankenbou The problem with mounts is that there are only 4 varieties. Flying, Ground, Water, and Convince aka vendor mounts. I get that some look cool and some have prestige behind their acquisition, however, after getting over 350 mounts myself I can say with some certainty that it's a pointless grind. There isn't anything fun about them as an item. The only fun associated with them is their acquisition and even then, it's mostly tedium.

I think on your first entry, the reason that 10% had the fishing mount was it was one of the only swim mounts at the time and was a lot easier to get then Poseidus.
This video has a lot of inaccurate information:
1. The Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent did not drop at all until patch 5.2 due to a bug and not because it had such a low drop chance, but it is very low indeed (0.03~)
2. Not all the holiday mounts have a 1% drop chance, the Brewfest ones are the most common, the Headless Horseman's mount has around 0.5%.
3. The Big Love rocket has about the same drop chance as the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent (0.03~) which is far from 1%
Apart from the above mentioned, great video as usually, but I would expect a little more research from you before making a video.

"hundreds" only? Most farmers have over thousands kills, the most recent one i saw had over 9000 kills
I got it few years ago and I didn't even farm for it. I was just helping my cousin with the quests on the area and he wanted for us to kill it, so we went for it and the mount dropped. Tho, I did kill Sha of Anger multiple times during MoP and it never dropped back then.
Someone in our guild had over 14.000 tries on it.
I'm certain other people have brought this up, but I'm surprised the Silent Glider from Soundless isn't on this list.
- Rare spawn that has several spawn points in an area in Nazjatar.
- Can only really be accessed with flying unlocked (not much of an issue, nowadays)
- On a 7 hour or so respawn timer.
- Mount isn't even a guarantee drop (1%, I think).
- On WarMode, you can't collect the mount if the opposing faction tags it first.
- Also, the opposing faction can try and steal the kill by killing you if you're already engaged in battle with the mob.
- *Can be hunter tamed*
It's a good thing there are WoW Communities that are dedicated into hunting Soundless, or else I'd personally put it at #1.
Speaking of #1, if you're going to put the Love Rocket at the top spot for only being available for a limited amount of time each year, then any other limited time mounts (like the headless horseman mount, or the Direbrew mounts) should also be on the list for being available for a short time each year.

and if your on WM ON mode, its worse when opposite/alliance faction tags it! also when you have a raid group and najtar battle takes place and then an army alliance come and battle you for it while your trying to kill it, thus lagging the server hard. i got it though like 5 tries. i still list the group if i see soundless up.

I was working on getting the vial of the sands recipe when I got the Qiraji battle tank. I got the love rocket and kept it in my bag and thought it was a firework so I was cleaning out my bags and clicked on it and I didn't see a firework and was like wtf? I was like no way..I looked in my mount journal and there it was omg I was in tears and was on my discord at the time with my friends live at the time.

Very proud to say I've had the Big Love Rocket since, I think, the first year it was available. So not only was I lucky that it dropped, I was lucky enough to win the roll for it! A guildie actually got it a couple years ago too.
I also have the Dark Riding and the Dark War Talbuks from TBC, though I'm surprised those didn't make the list. I guess they're technically easier than the Timeless Isle one because if you were around for those Halaa wars, you didn't need to get the killing blows to obtain the battle tokens.
Great list! Speaking of annoying grinds/farms, I feel like the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent was the most annoying farm I've done to date, even though it's not even close to any of these mounts. It's not hard or RNG-ruled anything but it's just...insanely boring and annoying to kill the same mobs in one specific area for hours to get the rep needed to buy it lol. I had way more fun with the giant dinosaur bones since I could also farm the Zandalari along the same route and get some nice items as a bonus. Also there's always competition for the Emperor Shaohao mobs, seems like. When I was working on it back in Legion I always had three or four other people also trying to kill the mobs, even when I wasn't on at peak times.

Back in MoP there was a glitch that would reroll the archaeology sites when you went from one zone to the next under a certain condition. I can’t remember how it was done exactly but basically I kept flying in and out of Uldum until Tol’vir stuff came up. It was patched but I exploited it to get the Ultramarine Qiraji because I was fed up with the grind. Got it on 60th find.
For the archeology one, you can speed things ip if you are exalted with Lorewalkers, is buy the Mantid artifact Hunters kit, for 2 restored artifacts. Using the Mantid Artifact Sonic Locator makes all your new dig sites in Pandaria be Mantid for 24hours. This limits you dig sites to 2 zones instead of spread all over Pandaria ( Townlong and the Dread Wastes) allowing more uptime in Archeology and less time flying. And at max level any mobs will ignore you or be oneshot. Basicly the best method for farming any fragments that can be bought with restored artifacts. Use the item, toss on a season of a show in the background and farm Mantid fragments .
The bloody coin trial character method still works. I actually charged people on my server in legion 50k to get the 500 coins. Took about 12 minutes.

@@ItsDiamondWolf Yes. You also need to lookup a macro to autores and auto accept res sickness from the spirit healer to spam on the trial character while it's getting killed repeatedly. The character doing the killing needs to sit near a graveyard and farm the trial character so he can instant kill them when they revive.
I actually got the pack mule mount while farming Nazmir. It's the only one of the BfA world drop mounts I have. I didn't realize it was supposedly so hard to get since it's my first and only one of that group (and while I kept it rather than selling it, I never use it). So apparently, it can drop in other places.
After 11-12 years of randomly passing by....time lost protodrake is finally mine! So happy to get it, never camped it or really tried, phew :)
Yup, here because I knew time lost would be here. I camped it for 5 months. Every evening and all weekend for 5 agonizingly long months. I must have killed Vyragosa over 100 times before I saw the time-lost once. Side note: After finally killing that drake, it took two weeks before I could close my eyes to sleep and not see that zone :-)
Came here looking for a weekend challenge, found the Logs, made my day.
i have the best story about my time lost proto drake. me and my friend were playing and leveling these two worgen warriors and we were pulling an all nighter. it was probably about 6 am, and we finally got to northrend. my friend decides “well, lets just check out a spawn for the hell of it” we check near brunnhildar and there he was and there were also two people trying to farm it. all four of us got a hit off and the body fell off a nearby cliff, as we were all scrambling to loot the corpse, my friend got the reigns first. i was quite discouraged but i almost screamed when i realized we both somehow got one. one of my favorite WoW moments. right next to getting clutch of ji kun and fellsteel annihilator on my first run of each raid :-)
