As someone who did high speed rallying, it’s normal to go over the course and make copious route notes before the actual race. The navigator then calls out the notes during the rally.

1:36 That ALMOST happened to me once. A police car came around a sharp corner, cut across my lane, and only missed me by about a foot. He at least had an excuse to be in such a hurry, though - a restaurant two blocks away had caught fire, and I had only just left their parking lot.
There's one incident I WISH I'd had a dashcam to record: while I was waiting at a crosswalk, a car from the opposite lane blew right through and almost hit a pedestrian. The police car in the lane next to me immediately turned on the lights and siren, made a U-turn, and pulled up behind the other guy.

That was in Toronto and I went to that scene and those are police officers on bikes, it was incredibly frustrating to watch but the person was arrested at least, and they were fleeing from the officers which is why they ran into them while driving in oncoming traffic

How were the parents supposed to know that driver was almost going to hit them? They’re looking ahead because it’s their turn to cross the street. Kids always like to walk ahead and other adults have been struck by a driver who ran the red light. I’m glad he realized at the last second to swerve. He still crashed but the child and the people survived crossing the street. People are too trusting when crossing the street. 😬

12:25. I don't think I've seen a better "Threading the Needle" driving move by a regular driver. A very narrow fit for that cammer to drive, (no let's call it a dive), through without touching either vehicles on both sides. Unfortunately control of the cammer's car was lost after the pass and it crashed. But I don't think that crash voids the skill that what was done to avoid a head on collision.

1:36 This one strike me werid. The police officer definately wasn't paying full attention at the road, but at the same time the camera man stopped his bike in middle of the road and pre pointing to that direction as if he is expecting to be hit.
The cammer in this clip seems to be stopped at an intersection, probably watching out for oncoming traffic. In his defense, the cop car did not seem to have its turn signals on, meaning that the cammer didn’t know that the cop car was going to turn. The cop car did end up weaving into his lane and colided with the cammer. I’m sure he wasn’t expecting to get hit, but still had his camera out just in case if any accidents like this happened while he was out.

Either way, if the cop was paying attention, he wouldn't have hit the stationary cameraman in the first place. After all, he had plenty of time to stop and check and he didn't have his indicator on to alert the cameraman he was turning.
