i thought it was genius when i saw it in immersaholics video. really works into shields working only on the left side. makes you win any frontline fight

Thanks for the compliment brotha😁 We would definitely have won if we had more cavalry to protect our flanks😉

Just watched the battle on Pixelated Appolo. Watched this video - and I love how you experiment and go through the analysis of formations and tactics. Subscribed.

This remind me of tactic from historical/action manga called kingdom (which i recommend you could read it to, it's not just a typical manga, it legit have accurate and vast use of millitary tactic during battle in the story)
anyway, during one of the arc, it showed a battle lasted more then 20 days with numerous army, one of the army in the right flank of the fortress, 40.000 and 20.000 (because it's commanded by 2 general which 60.000 in total) defending from enemy army numbering 150.000, during middle of the battle, the army numbering 40.000 fighting the enemy commander in chief army of the coalition left flank, numbering 80.000, now rather then defending, the defender launch full charge. Now before the main charge, the general order reserve army, numbering only 3000 (mixed infantry and carvalry) do frontal charge to enemy far left flank, which caught off guard the attacker, however this is only a feint, because when the main army decide to move to wipe out the 3000 soldier in the flank, which hinder the army movement, the defender 40.000 strong army do a full frontal charge toward the enemy line
But here is the trick, when they charge, the army which sent as decoy retreat as fast as possible in the last moment, resulting the enemy left flank in a mess, and when they form fixed formation, it's last effective, now the defender charge not in straight line, but an echelon assault from the flank, which got caught of guard by the reserve army, thus when the line hit, the charge force does not go straight to behind enemy line like ussual, but goes diagonally behind, so if 1 soldier knock 1 soldier during the charge, that soldier will fall diagonally which resulted 2 to 3 soldier in diagonall line and his flank, get disturbed, which resulted in chain of shockwave, and slowly the defender army frontal assault, devoured at least 10 -20 rank deep to the enemy line

Not to spoil it or anything, but I actually planned for the next tactics video to be about that tactic XD
I've already written half of the script ;D
