I imagine its not actually the entire galaxy trapped within that small ball, its more likely a pocket dimension and is much much larger on the inside then the outside.

Well pocket dimension to that extent are fictional and not yet proven.. and this video is trying to explain it with real science
not necessarily, perhaps it itself is a miniature galaxy and the orb is a containment shell allowing it to have separate universal constants from our galaxy thus allowing it to exist on such a small scale.
@@nikyabodigital well just because our understanding of physics is primeval doesn't mean it's not plausible. Remember the quote from the movie: "You humans! When will you learn size doesn't matter?". In a multi-dimensional Universe it would totally make sense.
I always considered it a whole universe if the Galaxy is inside I put no limitations once you're in there a straight line goes to Infinity

How do they know what the aliens stomach(or really anything about it's anatomy) is?

For instance: although I would agree that a body being hit on the chest by a strong force would behave similar to what shown here, it's not the exact scenario of what happened in the movie, where they were holding a gun and not standing passively. This is a cool idea, it's like Mythbusters but for movies, but Mythbusters definitely put more effort towards their hypothesys
Joe Hut That’s not an example of a “good” or “bad” assumption. That’s just exactly how science is tested, they created their hypothesis “What would happen to the body, if you were hit with as much recoil as the Cricket delivers?” So that is what they are specifically testing is just that, the effect on the body with that much force being applied at a set height. So the assumptions are that the weapon is held at that height, is shot in a straight line with the shooter standing with both their legs at shoulder length across their body. Just because they didn’t include every little factor doesn’t create a “bad” assumption. What you mean to say is that you wish they did include these little factors so that you could see what would happen to a human in the exact same position as Will Smith at some point shooting the weapon chest, arm, face and all (the whole body). In which case I can respect.
You say in the movie the gun isn’t shot passively and I’m very confused because literally the first time ever will shoots the gun he is shooting it while standing passively. Many times in the series he stands with his legs shoulder width apart while aiming the gun.

That is to assume that it's a pre-formed galaxy, rather than a galaxy created in some advanced lab which would be far more easy to manipulate to predetermined specifications using a level of science far more sophisticated than our own.....whereas the issues we currently have trouble with ourselves would be simple by comparison to them.

Wait a second, in the movie when the character shoot with the cricket, he holds it with his hands.
First it will break his hands because all of the energy from the recoil the cricket make when it blasting, second the gun is so small and slim it will be like a bullet when it hits the chest.
indeed the the body will be damage a lot.
For big guns that makes high recoils(not like the powerfull cricket of course) they use handles and shoulder rest(i hope it is the name hehehe ^^") for minimizing the the energy of recoil against the body and the hands(and u need to stand right for not geting hurt while shooting).
You showed the gun on a tripod but still for tripod while shooting u need to be on the ground, for shooting the gun while standing it needs to be more like M16 with a shoulder rest...or the tripod needs to be conected to the ground... to be heavy enough for not moveing and strong metirial to not break when it is shooting.
Just saying and i do love the videos you make.
It's a lot more likely that the weapon would just fly right out of his hands, maybe smacking him on the way past, but since it doesn't weigh very much it would probably just bounce off and leave a bruise

7:12. The galaxy is not about compression. It's all about Time And Relative Dimensions in Space.
First off in 3 00 a tripod is used, a 3 leg tripod is used for heavy weapons because it heavy, and the 2nd trypods is mainly for more accuracy, recoil goes back words not up down left right
And also wtf, look at the anti tank rifle Russian, it has most recoil but the Russians didn't do anything to have less recoil, because they can't, only making the back of the wepon(stock I think is called), have a thing that moves back when the gun fires so the friction goes to the stock not your arm.
If u didn't know this it's because u never use a gun
