- In this video we take a look at Lossless Scaling application which is available through the Steam Store. It works on any game, any PC and the results are just fantastic. Whether you have a low-end or a high-end system, everyone can benefit. Watch the video for more...

I really liked the format of the review, keep it up 👍👍
Thanks for the feedback!
the most fast and direct tutorial!
there is a keyboard shortcut somewhere there in LS for those troublesome games so you don't have to manually click Scale everytime.
That's right! CTRL+ALT+S is the default.
This review was a bit bare-bones.
You also need to know that LS is not a free FPS boost as it needs some GPU resources itself. So even if you can barely reach 70 FPS in a game (when your GPU is maxed out) then it will most likely drop below that when LS is enabled.
Also LS does not currently work with Gsync so on a Nvidia GPU you need a constant framerate or else you will feel framespikes.
That said LS is a phenomenal app.
Thank you. In the video I have used it with a gsync compatible monitor with gsync enabled. I have not tested with a gsync monitor though. Thanks for the info.
@@GameNerdigy It does not matter if you have a gsync compatible monitor or a gsync monitor. As soon as you enable LS, Gsync gets automatically disabled. Has been tested unfortunately
@TenkaichiMeister ah OK. Never noticed a difference. Which is a good thing I suppose.
It is always disabled when going into full screen how to fix that?
The program is designed to run at windowed mode. I did manage to get it working on full screen only once so maybe you can trick the program somehow.
Will I get banned in RDR online?
Good question. While I'm not an authority on this subject I'd say no for a few reasons.
- Would not make sense for you to use something steam wants you to use, getting you banned in something else also on steam
- I've been playing online games for tens of hours with this and no issues (mainly elden ring and Tekken 8)
- This program does not change any game files or drivers from what I understand so not sure what the anti cheat software will be detecting
All in all, do use at own risk.
@@GameNerdigy I bought the game from epic games, I think it would be better if I didn't try it xD
@@conillar thank you for sharing your concern with me. I should clarify what I meant to say was that steam also sells RDR2 and I'm confident RDR2 on any platform has the same community guidelines and anti-cheat policies.
Perhaps it might be a good idea to send epic games this question to see if using Lossless Scaling to improve perceived FPS might get you banned in any games on their store. A question to Rockstar gaming could do the same trick.
If you do get a resolution to this then would appreciate you sharing with the community here.
All the best.
how’s the latency?
Thanks for asking. I can't trust the numbers Nvidia is giving me when I run this program. But from what I've sensed it's the same as what your base fps give you.
@@GameNerdigy appreciate the info, mate
How do i enter RTSS
Same problem
Good question! We will use it to limit framerate to half of what our monitor can handle. So technically you can do that through in game frame limiter (if your game has it), software provided with your gpu or other softwares which can do it.
To get RTSS though you must download MSI Afterburner. Doesn't matter if you have an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card.
I've answered the question now friend. Thought I'd message you here so you get a notification.
@@GameNerdigy alr thanks
It creates so many artifacts that other FGs don't have. It looks terrible
Maybe I can help you fine tune it. What game are you playing and what are your base fps? Lastly, are you playing on x2. Mode or x3?
Also remember it works on top of the fg which comes with the game. So you can use it to reach the maximum refresh rate of your monitor (if you don't already).
It works best with old games
