He was in the first X-Men movie for about 10 seconds. He just didn't look like him. He was the one chasing Wolverine through the woods, with the tentacles. They messed it up.

I remember watching the X-Men cartoon series from the early 90s and Wolverine was fighting Omega Red. And Wolverine claws him in the back and Omega Red was like Logan I see you forgotten about my carbonantium exoskeleton. He was like but if you scratch my back I'll scratch yours.
Childhood memories that cartoon was for me.
I loved using his character in X-men children of the atom.

I love Omega Red! One of my favorites as a kid.
You guys missed something: The sword Wolverine used to Kill Omega was a magical sword made from Wolverine's blood. Because of this, it could shut down super-human regenerative powers due to Wolverines own healing abilities being so ludicrously advanced. Other than that, you guys made a great video!
But does that sword repair itself if damaged?

What this does is its composition has this bizarre effect on regenerative abilities, basically rendering the power inert
Deadpool's swords are made of Carbonadium on the off-chance he's dealing with someone who has regenerative powers
Yes. In one of the X-Men Comics, Omega Red said his tentacles were made of Carbonadium a more malleable version of Adamantium but not as indestructible. Wolverines claws are capable of cutting through the Carbonadium, but it would take a lot of strong effort.

THIS is who I wanted as the villain of Hugh Jackman's "final" run as Wolverine. I did NOT want the Old Man Logan storyline.
Omega Red would have fit better with the origin storyline. Erase the Wolverine: Origins movie.
Have Wolverine, Sabretooth, Deadpool, Maverick, Silver Fox, etc... go to Russia and face off against Omega Red. Multiple of them die at his hands. That is how it should have been. Old Man Logan was actually pretty good as a movie.
And Logan dies taking out Omega Red in a submarine sinking to where nobody can find them😢

A live action Wolverine vs Omega red fight would be epic. Omega red could be shown as a mutant killer especially adept at hurting mutants but being indifferent to humans. Thus making his power greater and more complicated.

The death spores.
One of the things that puzzled me most about Omega Red is that in the comics, Rogue is unaffected by Omega Red, but in the cartoon series, she is. If you think about it, Rogue should not really be affected by Omega Red, since any living being that touches her bare skin gets drained of their energy. Since Omega Red also drains his victims of energy, that would mean that neither Omega Red nor Rogue should be able to drain each other of their energies.
Are his tentacles considered part of him biologically? I assumed they were attached to him but not "him". Like a prosthetic hand, which I'm assuming would be immune to Rogues power.
Yeah but death factor and spores can still kill Rogue unless she absorbs a healing factor temporarily.

Exactly... Been that way since "Classic X-Men" #10 where Creed ripped Logan's throat out and chucked him in a river only for Logan to crawl out an hour later surprised he wasn't finished from a bleed out or drowning.

You mention Wolverine can't die by any way but drowning, but this is not totally true, there was a fight between Omega Red and Wolverine that went on for days, and had forge not come to Wolverines aid, he would have died from his wounds, Wolverines healing factor can't sustain Wolverine for days when Omega's death spores are around him.

Sounds like He might have been created as a way to nullify healing factor, whether this was a narrative based decision, or not. I guess healing factor is OP and needs a counter.

The difference is their skill. Omega Red is good, but Wolverine is the best there is at what he does. And what he does isn't very nice.

@Philodox who cares if Red is strong? He's basically fighting against an anthropomorphic blender with unbreakable bones. Strength is not the same as skill.
Wolverine holds his own against Hulk, Wendigo, and about a dozen or so other super strong guys, too. It all comes down to his skill and tenacity.
Edit: Also, yes, Omega Red can die by getting stabbed and cut. That was covered in this video. He has been killed by Wolverine.

absorb powers always have an upper limits if the person absorbs to much they overload themselves,if omega red absorbs the phoenix he wil overload himself the phoneix has vastly more power then he can handle
although omega red is kind of cool looking i never had much with him,in the end he is just a though guy that drains people not much els to it he is kind of like rogue but then he drains perminant.
