He was in the first X-Men movie for about 10 seconds. He just didn't look like him. He was the one chasing Wolverine through the woods, with the tentacles. They messed it up.
I remember watching the X-Men cartoon series from the early 90s and Wolverine was fighting Omega Red. And Wolverine claws him in the back and Omega Red was like Logan I see you forgotten about my carbonantium exoskeleton. He was like but if you scratch my back I'll scratch yours.
@@clintonwashington8609 Omega Red and the huge Sentinel. These two characters ate many a week's allowance in quarters at my local Cosmic Comics back in the 90s. Had to stop playing wolverine when I had a nightmare about being able to say nothing else but "drill claw!"

Muramasa sword but didn't Daken have it broken and put it on his Bone claws making him the most deadly threat to those with healing regenerative abilities
It's the Carbonadium The Poor Man's Adamantium What this does is its composition has this bizarre effect on regenerative abilities, basically rendering the power inert Deadpool's swords are made of Carbonadium on the off-chance he's dealing with someone who has regenerative powers
Yes. In one of the X-Men Comics, Omega Red said his tentacles were made of Carbonadium a more malleable version of Adamantium but not as indestructible. Wolverines claws are capable of cutting through the Carbonadium, but it would take a lot of strong effort.
I’m surprised you didn’t much about the carboniam synthesizer. Pretty sure omega reds main objective is to achieve them because of the coils put into his body is slowly poisoning him.
Not a single mention of how his desire for the synthesizer will convince him to help anyone who says they can give him one? Or that he needs it to "stop from dying"
Omega Red would have fit better with the origin storyline. Erase the Wolverine: Origins movie. Have Wolverine, Sabretooth, Deadpool, Maverick, Silver Fox, etc... go to Russia and face off against Omega Red. Multiple of them die at his hands. That is how it should have been. Old Man Logan was actually pretty good as a movie.

Wolverine is in no way a beta And given the ‘could wipe out all life on earth if he achieves sufficient altitude’ would suggest he is at least an alpha, extensive destructive reach, perpetual life and endurance etc On the note of Logan, he can drown yes, but it’s not lethal, disabling at best
A live action Wolverine vs Omega red fight would be epic. Omega red could be shown as a mutant killer especially adept at hurting mutants but being indifferent to humans. Thus making his power greater and more complicated.
One of the things that puzzled me most about Omega Red is that in the comics, Rogue is unaffected by Omega Red, but in the cartoon series, she is. If you think about it, Rogue should not really be affected by Omega Red, since any living being that touches her bare skin gets drained of their energy. Since Omega Red also drains his victims of energy, that would mean that neither Omega Red nor Rogue should be able to drain each other of their energies.
Are his tentacles considered part of him biologically? I assumed they were attached to him but not "him". Like a prosthetic hand, which I'm assuming would be immune to Rogues power.
I love Omega red. He what you get when you take a mutant and combine the super soldier program and the weapon X program. I would love a what if story that Omega Red was chosen to be the new Juggernaut.
That would make for an interesting hero villain relationship. Superhero wants to die but can’t. Villain stops healing so he becomes the only one who can kill superhero. Villain meets superhero and then out of sadistic glee refuses to even harm the superhero. Superhero chases villain in a game of reverse cat and mouse.
Exactly... Been that way since "Classic X-Men" #10 where Creed ripped Logan's throat out and chucked him in a river only for Logan to crawl out an hour later surprised he wasn't finished from a bleed out or drowning.
The fact we haven’t had Red in any of the x-men or other marvel movies is so odd to me because he’s arguably one of the most in-demand characters and there’s several ways he’d have fitted in already…
You mention Wolverine can't die by any way but drowning, but this is not totally true, there was a fight between Omega Red and Wolverine that went on for days, and had forge not come to Wolverines aid, he would have died from his wounds, Wolverines healing factor can't sustain Wolverine for days when Omega's death spores are around him.
Omega Red is like the hulk he's op so they low balling his time in movies and tv adaptations to use as a oh snap character but I'm just waiting too 6-13-24 the boys will be back in town
Sounds like He might have been created as a way to nullify healing factor, whether this was a narrative based decision, or not. I guess healing factor is OP and needs a counter.
Can lift 10 tons and can kill people just be being around them and can nullify wolverines healing factor but is weaker than and is regularly beaten by wolverine? Comics make no sense most of the time.
@@VincentMcmanus. So can Omega red still die by being stabbed or having his throat cut? I don't think that you realize what 10 TONS is. The strongest men in the world can lift just over 1000 lbs or 1/2 of a ton to HIP height!
@Philodox who cares if Red is strong? He's basically fighting against an anthropomorphic blender with unbreakable bones. Strength is not the same as skill.
