Todays' video We loaded up the parts cannon to figure out what was wrong with trevors Jeep. He was driving home and the Jeep just died. All it does is crank and no start. I verified fuel pressure which was good. There was no spark and power at the fuel injectors. The computer tested good and the Crank Position sensor tested fine as well. At this point we swapped the computer to see if the fuel control drivers in the computer were shot and that wasn't the case. Everything came down to a simple fuse being blown that was overlooked because apparently they were checked. However replacing the fuse doesn't fix the problem causing the fuse to blow. In the end it was the o2 sensor wire that had worn though and would cause a short.

That was fantastic that you walk through the diagnostics and even foreshadowed that you missed something. I hate it when you assume someone else has done something and it really wasn't true.

There seems to be always a reason for a fuse to blow
    This is a perfect example
    Great video!

Yes indeed replacing the fuse isn’t fixing the problem gotta find out why it blew

Ok, I'm here searching for tips and help me solve a gremlin in my no start situation. I have a 92 2.5l 5 sp manual fuel injection YJ. Short story, a few weeks ago I was on the trail, nothing crazy mind you and it just decided to stop dead in its tracks. Try to start, didn't hear the fuel pump so I figured it went out, had it towed to camp, drop the tank, new fuel pump still no go. Now all the troubleshooting begins. Checked Relays, fuses all good, changed ignition switch, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, coil, ignition coil pick/cam sensor, CPS, ECU all changed. Still no spark! Started probing and checking wires. The ECU is sending signal to the coil. When I turn the key on, the test light lights up, but goes away with cranking, no pulsing like in your video. The other wire as in your video should have 12v full time or just when key is on? either way there is no 12v at the other terminal of the coil plug when probed. I did the test on the coil as in your video, all readings are good! The fuel rail pressurizes and holds at 31, all lights, accessories, radio, dome, turn, brake, running lights, everything works. I'm just not getting spark and for the life of me can't figure out why. I am here looking for something that I have not yet tested, changed or figured out yet. So, all you YJ peeps here I am looking for guidance. I've had this Jeep 13 years now and been really good overall. This time, it has me baffled! HELP!

Thank you ! I just put a new cat and exhaust system. Then started having problems with starting. Sure enough blown fuse. Planning on changing out 02 sensor as well.

Great video man...I'm having a no Start but engine cranks situation right now ...its been raining heavy here for the last couple days and I went to start it today afrer it sitting for 2 days and it just cranks...I font thkmk its gas , possibly a coil or pcm,,,,I have a spare pcm that needs to be flashed so it will work on my jeep ...gonna check that fuse now! Hope its the fuse but the true culprit must be something shorting out due to the rain , it must be causing a short somewhere......it only happens when it gets wet....last time was when my radiator cracked and soaked the engjne then it took a couple days till it was all dried up and started like a charm

Great Video. When you said that you put in another ppm from the bone yard, and that the dash doesn't work because of a Bus wire failure, How would you fix that? I have the same problem with my 97 wrangler 2.5l? Gauges don't work.

Is the fuse is blown… and you’re lazy…just put a higher resistance fuse in… it will either work… or burn the car down… point is don’t be lazy fix the issue before it becomes a bigger issue!

What I think is Trevor's rusted ass jeep is a fucking piece of shit. But hey it makes a good diagnostics video. If you can do a Live Stream Video tonight that will be great. I'm down to my last damn beer.
