Thanks for the batrep! Fun matchup! I was excited to see the Cabal on the table and I've been eager to see what the hunters can do. Between Steven's crazy crit rolling and your below average rolling, I'm not sure it was a fair comparison but it was an exciting game!
That twist basically forcing all of the fighters into melee really favored the Cabal.
Just an FYI for the Corvus Cabals Raven dart it’s on a 5+ for the value of the double not just a 6 and a 2-4 does 1 damage
Well done. Thank you.
Thanks !
With so many 6s any warband has a bit of fighting in it
Nice to see the hunters. does anyone know if there are/will be rules for freeguild steelhelms for Warcry ? .
Nothing mentioned yet but atm they would work just fine using the Freeguild Guard rules
Yeah the sneakily released the rules without any announcement. You should be able to find them in the Warcry Downloads in warhammer community.
So many Corvus 6s lol

Where abouts are you based dude?

Seems like there is almost no thinking required for Warcry. Just smash face, zero tactics
Not at all, activations are incredibly important. Probably my favourite game by gw.
@@CinderfallGaming I bought the original version. After a few games just felt like no tactics were needed. Maybe theyve improved it.
The missions and twists are incredibly varied so some games lend themselves to a slug fest over a point, while others mean positioning is much more important. The main game-to-game tactical decisions are orders of activation, which is incredibly important. A little like chess, moving a certain model first can set of a chain reaction so good players plot multiple moves ahead before deciding who to activate. Picking favourable engagements/targets is also hugely important. A classic example of a game that is simple to learn but difficult to master.
"It's too complicated, noone wants to play."

Welcome to wargaming.
Every warband and unit has a playstayle as well. If you had the original set using the bands it came with (Iron Golem and Untamed Beasts) it makes sense you felt that way as they are among the most ‘get close and hit each other’ bands in the game. Other bands rely on positioning, or excel at certain Victory conditions, like carrying treasure or controlling objectives. Corvus is very different from Stormcast for example.
In the end though, depending on the mission, terrain, deployment, and twist, even the same two warbands can yield drastically different results. Here Corvus did great because of all the 6s they got on the dice too. Warcry is random but that is the beauty of it. Matches are fast so even if you get tabled you just deploy again and try another mission. Every single game I have ever played of it has been fun, win or lose.
