WARCRY BATTLE REPORT - Gloomspite Gitz vs Darkoath Savagers - The Quest To Gnarlwood & Realm Of Ghur - Hry
What a breath of fresh air. I am STARVED for Warcry battle reports and not only are you virtually the only person releasing them now but this one is the best I've seen; very good pacing and editing. Awesome work, Lee. Look forward to the next one, I'm painting up my complete HQ collection and I need stuff to watch to get through the batch painting!
Thanks so much! Lots more to come as I'll be being posting weekly rotating between Warcry, Weekend Warriors, Combat Patrols in 40k, and then other games like Brutality and AoS thrown in. Thanks for watching!
Who makes up these names. What about, shovel shine broom borrowers, and porridge lump carpet eaters.
Worthy names indeed! I wouldn't mess with the carpet eaters 🤣
Love to see the terrain that you made in the previous video being used in action.
Is that the desert terrain? We should be featuring it soon with Rogue Warriors when the SAS desert expansion is released.
I liked this batrep a lot. Well narrated and filmed. Easy to get in on the action, keeping track of wounds inflicted and very good explanation of the use of abilities. I like warcry and hopes that the new edition does not f... u. the game mechanics to much.
I agree about the new edition. I feel I've barely scratched the surface of Warcy 1st edition.
Thank you! I'll add the fighter cards as an overlay in the next battle report so you can see the weapon options and stats. If they change the mechanics and they suck, I'll keep playing this edition. As Nathan said, there is so much to cover in the game already.
This was super fun to watch! I love how you personalised the rules to add to your narrative. Personally I'm a fan of seeing the fighter cards when someone is rolling online (Red Rose Wargaming youtube batreps do it), but that's because I'm the kind of person who can only remember this when I see them. And as it was made, it was probably already a huuuuuuge editing job. Thank you so much and hope to see many more Warcry batreps from you!
Glad you enjoyed it! That's a great idea and will be a good addition for the next one. Thanks for the idea.
All I can think about hearing "Shroom Sniffers" is those Goblins frantically hacking up dried shrooms...
Love the Gitz' names ya ladd! Made me smile!
Haha they are my favourite warband at the moment. Great fun to play. Thanks for watching!
This was a great battle report. I loved the battlefield, the canyons created some awesome bottlenecks which added to the tactical possibilities. The Shroom sniffers were worthy winners, those cave squigs were lethal. I like the darkoaths but they whiffed a lot of attacks, which cost them in the end. I think is was turn two in which all they coukd roll was 1's and 2's. Anyway, it's great to see battle reports back on the channel and it's great news that you'll be doing more skirmish games more often.
Thanks! Weekly battles now rotating between Warcry, Weekend Warriors, Combat Patrols in 40k, and then other games like Brutality and AoS thrown in.
Really good man, story was cool and explanation very clear and appreciated i look forward to more,,,, that wooden board for the dice and cards is deadly, never seen one before
Thank you! I'll do a review video for those boards, they were really helpful for keeping track. This was the first time I'd used them. Lots more to come as I'll be being posting weekly rotating between Warcry, Weekend Warriors, Combat Patrols in 40k, and then other games like Brutality and AoS thrown in. Thanks for watching!
@@tabletopskirmishgames I was interested in dashboard as well. I'm just starting this game and it looks helpful. Enjoy your videos and formats. keep em coming. And thanks.
loved it...more please

Quite like that terrain you made. Really looks good and works good as well! Saw the how-to video and stopped by a hardware store looking for the foam board but no luck. I’ll have to try the bigger store later in the week.
I bought it on Ebay here in the UK. It's hard to find the same stuff in the DIY shops here.
Warcry is such a good game, and your battle reports are great! 👏 Thanks for this! 👍😁

Thank you! It's great fun, and so cool to easily play different warbands.
Yes more Warcry! Since the setting is in Ghur, would be great to see the Thondia rules being featured 😉

Love your Battle Report! Also I need that dice tray! 😍
Thank you! I built it around a mouse mat and the TTSG mouse mats will be available to order soon!
@@tabletopskirmishgames Are you planning on making some of these for sale as well? Looks better than most of the WarCry designs I've seen!
Great tie-in with the new Gnarlwood setting *and* your new modular terrain. Keep up the good work!

Lee, your content is so much fun to watch. Good job!
Glad you enjoy it, thanks so much!
This was awesome mate, loved the narrative with the shrooms 😁 and the hill terrain. This was a joy to watch 😉
Thank you! I'll be doing weekly battle reports now rotating Warcry, Weekend Warriors, 40k and other skirmish games like Brutality.
12:20 Technically you should roll to see if the witch fell as she was within 1" of the small cliff edge
Ooh nice one!
@@tabletopskirmishgames it's very easy to not notice but according to the rules, if you are near the edge of anything in which you could fall you should technically test (unless the model can fly).
It's only a 1-in 6 chance so it's highly likely it would not have happened anyway, , so I doubt it would have changed the outcome but good to keep in the back of your head for the next battle report which and very much looking forward to as you always do a stellar job!
Great battle report. Beautifully painted models and great narration! Only point of criticism I have is that I would've liked a few more deathblows for the Darkoath ;)
Thanks so much! Aaah missed out on those last abilities. Next time! Lots more to come as I'll be being posting weekly rotating between Warcry, Weekend Warriors, Combat Patrols in 40k, and then other games like Brutality and AoS thrown in. Thanks for watching!
I loved this! Keep it up Lee

Nice batrep! I'm learning Warcry at the moment so it's good to see it in action. I have a question though: is activation really per card? I've got the Red Harvest box, and the basic rules there just talk about activating one *fighter* at a time. It might be that I've missed something.
Thanks! Yes, activate one fighter at a time and alternate with your opponent until all fighters have been activated each round.
What are those wooden things you have the dies and card on? How does one get them?
They are from a company called Quali Geeks. I bought them from a collector but I found the original website here for you: qualigeeks.eu/whwarcry
How do the Gloomspite Gitz ever lose? Their quad skill is absolutely bonkers broken.
My Shroomsniffas lost miserably on Monday against the Scions of the Flame. 🍄🔥
@@tabletopskirmishgames Must not have rolled a quad, because once you do, they can wipe any unit off the board. Completely turned me off from Warcry after I saw that in a game.
