I respect Rythian trying something different and attacking Duncan but dear god that was the worst planned/executed attack I've ever seen 😂

It really showed Rythian's inexperience with war. But props for trying it out. He should have maybe just watched a 10 min tutorial first.

He really tried to take a city with two warriors and two archers 😂 like at LEAST wait until you have catapults
@@D34N6232sometimes you can swarm early cities without them, but it relies on either you having a big numbers advantage or the opponents being stupid AI
Kirsty's civ was very unhappy with the lack of housing, it was a city of Malcolm tents.
I love how this channel just keeps on going, like if you don't like civ you probably don't even know this yogs channel exists, it's still just called civilization, and yet it has like the steadiest content production ever 😂

Rythian and Duncan's spawn situation is hilarious.
You know maybe Rythian would like early wars more than late wars since he has a lot less city and worker management to deal with early on. I think that's fair tbh

citadels are the one thing about civ5 war that is just objectively bad, it just turns it into WW1 once they get rolling.
@@tenacity25 I like the WW1 feel personally but I play like 3 games a year after each semester with fam and friends. It's just kinda satisfying building it up or having your defenses just knocked over by something like artillery or all of a sudden someone gets aircraft before you've built AA
Looking at all the space Daltos has and then seeing how Duncan and Rythian spawned ontop of eachother is so hilarious

Kirsty's spawn is wacky, normally Lekmap gives you 3 or 4 luxuries next to the place you spawn o.O
I'm guessing what happened is that a tiny map is designed for 4 players and Kirsty was the 5th player so there was no balanced spawn in the map script for her so she was just plonked somewhere

Kirsty's start is absolutely amazing and a little sad that she can't recognize it. She has around her capitol 4 lake tiles, 3 oasis, and marble. On such a small map that's a ton of food (that could be made incredible if she picks the lakes/oasis pantheon) and be able to build wonders faster along with just fantastic production on all those hills. She could also build Petra, Althing, and Huey in her capitol which would just be incredible! Daltos though is probably already clicked on Petra cause he knows his capitol would also be amazing with it and he's pretty known for getting tunnel vision on one wonder to make or break his game.
The location has amazing potential, but it's quite a rough "start". A city needs decent starting tiles to snowball into all those mentioned things.The snowball is what matters early in order to take advantage of any potential in the location especially on an aggressive map. With every other player having access to multiple 3 food and 2 food 1 prod tiles at turn 1, she's already at a massive disadvantage.
I forget, can you build ships straight into the lake cause if so she can have just 3 ranged defenders that have to be killed to range. I always leave at least one ranged ship in a harbor near my capitol just in case but I guess ships are late game and this is a tiny map
@panner11 lakes and oasis give +3 food. She has 7 all together around her. She's got an amazing start. If she had yield icons on you'd see it.

Hehe. I once set up a map so small, with so many players that I had the starting luxes from at least 2 other civs, and half the civs/cities could not even found their first city because of the overcrowding. Fun times.
It's pretty funny seeing city state settlers
@@Candlemancer Fun fact: They will never settle any more cities, even if you spawn new settlers for them. They will also never move their initial settler, no matter how badly position it may be.

All those forests are so bad for sieging a capital. Well good luck Rythian, but I'm afraid it's not going to work. Though I doubt Duncan can take his capital, so it's probably just going to be a white peace.
I don't know the circumstances behind Kirsty joining these games but she's a fantastic addition!

Why did Lewis not move to the Hill/Coast? He's missing out on bonus production early game, and he's completely missed out on Coastal Wonders which I'd think you'd need for an Egypt run.

How much $ do I have to donate to charity to play a game or two with these guys? Myself - an OG Civ player, meme’er, excessive spammer of special units, who isn’t a try hard and like to LARP in discord. I also played with Daltos in the discord server before.

My dude, the 24 hour peak of Civ 6 is almost as many players as the all-time peak of Civ 5. I prefer Civ 5, but people have got to stop pretending Civ 6 was somehow bad/a failure. It's a vastly more successful and popular game. And Civ 7 is going to bury Civ 5 even deeper.
I like 6 because of Sean Bean and because it's not as "figured out" as 5 is.
