About his life after he grabbed power after over throwing Nawazs govt he shook hands with Atal Bahari Vajpayee the then Indian Prime Minister . His explanation is that he had to do that to defuse a serious war like situation . Now going back in time a little ,when there was an actual war going on, on the Kargil front and things were rapidly escalating and situation spiralling out control . Pakistan was suffering heavy casualties , Political leadership thought it prudent to intervene and American help was sought to give it a face saving . He strangely enough says that a Military victory was converted into a Political defeat . Nobody is ready to buy this logic . His act of overthrowing an elected govt was unconstitutional and illegal . Pakistan has badly suffered the consequences since then .
General saheb is trying/tried to bring universities from other countries. Nice thing. He named nine countries.I was eagerly waiting to hear he would mention India also.He didn't, either because he was not knowing that Indian IITs , Medical institute are good,or because he was not willing to tread in muddy waters.
