Erra is definitely something to get into, super technical throughout their career with soaring cleans/choruses and breakdowns. If you want something very heavy, I would go for "Hybrid Earth", "Snowblood", "Valhalla", "Valbarra", or if you want super melodic songs you should go for "Vanish Canvas", "Drift", "Disarray", "Divisonary". Tbh all of their songs are goated lol
Best ERRA is still their Augment and Impulse albums. The magic they had with their original members was unmatched. I wish they could've did just one more album with Garrison and Alan after Augment.
Erra is one of the biggest influences for modern metalcore bands, so I'd definitely recommend checking more of them if you get a chance. I'd also recommend some Leprous if you wanna listen to some cinematic progressive rock. Since you're a musician, I figure you'd appreciate how diverse and creative they are

Augment is considered to be ERRA's "holy grail" album by a lot. Which is an older album with a different vocalist for the screams. Bit of a different vibe compared to these songs, but not in a bad way at all. Augment + Dementia together is something else. The song takes you on a journey. I'd also recommend their newest self titled album. I'd say give the deluxe version a full listen maybe. Has an extra few tracks and even a few cover tracks (stockholm syndrome is sick)
I'll check out their whole discography at some point, it's just a matter of what order. I guess it doesn't really matter but there is a poll up on Patreon like I mentioned, just if you're interested in joining
Neon is a very underrated album imo. Everybody talks about Augment and self titled all the time, but I think Neon is better than both of them personally.
While I don't agree it's better than those albums, I do agree that it is severely underrated. It's such a good album, but it was also the first album I heard of theirs, so I may just be biased.
They have their own sound. The ERRA sound. There's only few bands or an artists that you'll immediately recognized just for few seconds of hearing the song for the first time and ERRA is one of them. Just like Mayday Parade, CNCC, The Used, etc. And some might argue that Blessthefall sounds generic but they have their own signature melodies that are unique only to them.

Although many people believe "Dementia" to be their best song and that's on Augment.
