Have you heard “I let it in and it took everything” by Loathe? It’s a shining example of what modern metal can be. Overall the sound of the album is very hazy, dark, and atmospheric but every song is wonderfully unique, each flowing smoothly into the next with some really beautiful interludes! It’s one of my favourite albums of all time and I’d love to hear your thoughts :)
Augment is their best album, I highly recommend giving that a listen. They had an additional guitarist back then that really elevated them to a different level. Amazing album.
I still think you should hit up every album and find the one that suits you best. Because unlike these other commenters ERRA has always been my favorite band and I've never felt bored but Drift is still my favorite album by them. The new ERRA is good but it's alright compared to Drift, Impulse and Augment
For me my fav track is Electric Twilight I think it's one of the most unique song from The album. Thing about them just as Vildhjarta to me, some riffs torn your mind, you feel like you get drunk just from hearing the notes and rythms. And one song from Erra that has that effect on me is the lofi riff from house of glass
Listen to Loathe's I Let It In and It Took Everything; unlike so much metalcore they experiment in ways that benefit the album and listening experience. The atmosphere of the album is also top notch, parts of it remind me of Silent Hill while others give me a Bladerunner vibe
Honestly couldn’t disagree more with you and most of these comments. I think this album is fantastic and has paved the way for a lot of up and coming technical bands. The guitar work is unmatched and to calm it boring I think is pretty unfair. That being said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions
I loved Augment so much when it first came out, but everything Erra has released since has been so boring to me. I've never been able to articulate why, but it just doesn't do anything for me, either. If you're looking for a Muse album, try Absolution (Stockholm Syndrome is on this one) or Origin of Symmetry, and honestly Black Holes and Revelations is still great even if they started to get a little less interesting from there.
Definitely reccomend checking out Augment it's their best album imo. I do like the newer stuff but I do agree however that it is somewhat generic. Which is fine, I think they do the sound well enough and are a great band to see live. Really nice dudes too, Respect your opinion! Just subbed
@@coreyclip1 Sick! Neon is great. it's worth noting the older erra before drift has a different scream vocalist. Drift-Self titled is JT Cavey and Impulse/Augment have Garrison Lee. So I think it's still worth checking out the old ones as they sound like 2 different bands pretty much but are still fantastic.
So i seen this and had to give my 2 cents. Loved the album, seeing them live was mid. Not sure if the mixing was off or where i was standing wasnt optimal. But the clean singing was so quiet and just all around was a let down. WCAR had a better set that night.
You are not alone in this. Erra and Invent, Animate to me seem so boring. The covers are the best parts of this album. I loved Origin of Symmetry by Muse, and there are some bangers on Showbiz too. The later albums are a lot more "pop".
This album feels incredibly over-produced to me. Each song sounds exactly the same, and while it sounds good, it gets very old very quickly. I think this is a consequence of being pop music. this is pop djent.

I listened to Breach in another video and I really enjoyed it. It makes me want to check out the full Neon album so that's in my Patreon poll
