      I am gutted she hasn’t even got her grandson to raise. I bet they wish they’d never proved he was the father with dna. It’s disgusting that his mother is raising the child, she won’t bring him up to know anything about his mother and he will likely grow up an angry boy. He would have been better off with Helens mum who could raise him surrounded by family love, photos and stories of his mum and the knowledge his mum loved him.

    Shame on Adam's mother for not letting Helen's mom see her own grandson. That hurts the grandson too. And also, why should she have him when Adam didn't even want him in the first place and he even lied about his paternity. What a shameful family of dysfunction.

    • @namewithheldbygoogleforsec673

      Adam's mother will more than likely regret the decision to not let Helen's son see his other grandmother when Helen's son reaches adulthood, and seeks out his other grandmother to ask questions about his Mother (Helen), and to find out why she never came to see him. He will most likely grow to resent Adam's mother's choices of restricting him from having any sort of connection with his other grandmother.

      liberation worldpeace We housed a 16 year old Australian exchange student back in the mid 90’s She was supposed to be with us for a full year, that didn’t last. She and her mother agreed to the house rules for our teens but, after arriving , I discovered that she had been removed from 2 other US homes for drugs and drinking. Then she got upset when I refused to let her stay out all night or travel out of state on weekends with kids I didn’t even know. After 3 months and many calls to her mother in Australia , I was told to send her home, her mother figured we would have trouble with her problem child. Heidi was only 13 when she started sleeping with men 3X her age and her mother sent her to the states thinking someone here might fix the problem. We put her on the plane only to get a call a couple of days later telling us she didn’t arrive in Australia. A few days later we got a call from her mum telling us she was in Vegas. The following year we were asked to take a girl from Australia again. We said NO THANKS, ONCE WAS ENOUGH OF THAT BS.

If I couldn't get full custody, you can bet your ass I would be applying for visitation rights to see my grandchild....I also wouldn't let my young schoolgirl daughter go off to have under-age sex with a man of 31 allowing her to get pregnant TWICE..........but that is ME....and not a weak-willed woman who should have put her foot down in the first place!....I'm sorry for her, but in a way, her parenting skills of her putting her foot down and allowing her daughter to do what she did with this man, is her fault..sorry, but it is!

She doesn't even fight hard for visitation rights being the grandparent, and I know she would be allowed that..........She is a weak-willed woman, even before this tragedy happened,. If this was me I would be generating some form of internal affair investigation on these useless, lazy cops to get them SACKED because they not only didn't do their job, but let a murderer get away scot-free roaming around the neighbourhood, and let the victim down by just not being arsed enough to carry out a proper investigation to get that girl some justice!

      @private5047 Před 5 lety +39

      @ C. Ellis.... You are really quite merciless and a bit cold-hearted toward the mother. First of all, the mother MAY VERY WELL HAVE put her foot down and forbidden Helen from seeing this murderous narcissistic jackass-- It is no secret, and something a multitude of single mothers can attest to, that to "control" the behavior of a 16yr. old, headstrong girl that is overwhelmed by her own hormones is NOT an easy and often times unsuccessful task.
      The mother was beside herself with grief and barely had enough strength to carry on with the daily menial routines of living-- let alone come up against these incompetent police and judicial system that don't even bat an eyelash at THEIR gross misconduct in botching the whole investigation, and allowing a murderer to walk free! Heartache is debilitating and it is apparent that you have not experienced, that awful depth of devastating heartache, yet. You also need to understand, that everyone responds to tragedy differently. Just because a tender-hearted person doesn't act tough as nails and immediately puts on boxing gloves to "step into the ring" with a war-cry, does NOT make them wrong, or "weak", as you say. How horrible of you, C. Ellis, for BLAMING THE VICTIM!
      THAT is what is WRONG!!!
      I hope nothing as tragic as this ever happens to YOU, in order for your eyes and heart to be opened for you to become a more compassionate and understanding individual.Maybe what this mother needs is a fiesty-spirited person, such as yourself, to step up to the plate for her. You know, it is TRUE we all need to help each other in this life. Sometimes we are weak and beaten down....sometimes we are strong, like a lion. Sometimes we help others...sometimes it is us that needs the help of others.✌

      I thought as much, also. He left her body near or on the beach, then found an excuse to use the boat to pick it up to dispose of it. The girlfriend remembers him going to and from other vehicles that night when he got back. Could have been transferring more evidence or a trophy piece to hide elsewhere. There is enough cause to open a cold case file on this murder. Reinterview him and have him sign a statement regarding his answers. Maybe a polygraph could be offered... To clear his name. Ask him again why there were scratches on his arms. See if he feels faint, again or balks at giving answers. I don't remember is not good enough! If he thinks it's only a formality, again, he may not be prepared for these questions. Talk to his live in girlfriend, again. Search every piece of property, house, boat and cars. Even ones that have been sold. Do they have, or can they get her DNA to check for? It obviously shouldn't be this same PD that opens the case. It would be the same shoddy work. With enough publicity, this could happen. He coild have to go to trial on very little evidence and let a Jury decide. Maybe some search parties out along the drive they took....? Rethink everything!! Good luck to her family and friends.

    • @junehutchinson3658

      Forgot to mention, his girlfriend said the boat wasn't down on the beach when she looked earlier. Did he have time to put it there to set up taking it out to get her body? Also, sexual predators, like him, want to keep a trophy of their kill. He could have it hidden very well in some place not easily found but where he can get to it when he wants. Tear the house apart, in a systematic way... Behind pictures, top cabinets, taped behind or under drawers in bedroom, a little use container stored in basement or attic, etc. Gotta think like them to catch them. Anything that doesn't belong may have DNA or prints, such as jewelry, a letter, hair, etc. JS

    That poor family, her mom breaks my heart...I pray that this girl gets justice...Also her family should have custody of the boy.

    The case should be reopened by outside police ...! Then he and his wife should be questioned in a lie detector. It should not be a problem, "if he has clean flour in the bag".
