  • The last project in our patio furniture set series is this end table. We didn't carry over the same legs, but did keep the general style consistent. Like the other projects in this series, our main goal was to make something that looked better than the average 2'x4' furniture, but still be simple enough for DIYers to make.

I got the Beadlock jig and the tenon stock from Rockler.com. For this project, I used the 3/8" attachment and drill bit.

Very nice build looks great with that Stain on there.
Have you thought of putting the same slats on the back this way it can be used as a longer table if need be, just tip it over to one side and there's your table, stand it back up and there's your end table.

How do you think just pocket holes would hold up?

I used kiln dried, c & btr Douglas Fir. Its not the best wood for outdoor use, but when I was making this the cost of more weather resistant wood was crazy. Plus, this set will be under a covered patio.

How much would you sell this for?

Sorry, didn’t quite understand why you used the pocket holes instead of the bead lock system? Thanks!

I used both on that joint. I'm sure just the beadlock would have been fine, but I have a tendency toward overkill sometimes. In the end, it did turn out to be a strong joint (next video will show a strength test of the table I did just for fun).
