Love the idea of shaping toilet paper tubes into leaf shapes as your own stamp.
I am enjoying your gelli plate series. Great prints. Love the crusty bits! Thanks for sharing your great ideas.
So clever to bend the roll into a heart shape for stamping. Can't wait to try that one and the rolls you cut into one inch pieces stuck to a sheet of foam. Thanks!
Love all your homemade "tools". A lot of inspiration going on in these videos. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Brenda :) So much fun texture just laying around in the world LOL
Love the copper print.
I so enjoy watching you do this, you create such beautiful papers.
Thank you Cheryl 😊 I find watching peopke gel print very soothing
I haven’t used my gel plate for ages but you’ve inspired me to drag it out & have a play. Thanks again Shel for another great video ❤️
Thank you Shirley 😊 have fun playing!
I like these ideas. I will try them. Thank you.
Love the black and white tube print the best but lots of others were neat too!
Thank you Debbie 😊
Both the 1st and 2nd generation of tube prints with the black paint look amazing. I want to come grab those from you. TFS
Thank you Carlotta :) They are probably sewn into my book now LOL
I always enjoy gel printing videos. You made some pretty ones on this video. TFS
Thank you Ash 😊 I love watching printing videos too
I mostly use colors of the ocean or summer colors but I may have to rethink that after seeing the fall color pull you did. It was amazingly stunning! Thanks for sharing your time and talents with me.💜 c. mason
Oh thank you!
Two passing thoughts. That circle shape one in the black, made me think of what doughnuts laid out on a zerox machine would look like when printed out. =P lol Also, I was thinking the heart shape in the toilet paper tube was great! If you did two of them, and turned sideways side-by-side, could be a beautiful butterfly impression for spring. =)
It has been nearly two years since I used my gelli plate. I was so addicted then. Watching you makes me miss it. Time to bring it out again. You are fun to watch with them! Thanks for sharing! =)
Good thoughts 😊 Thank you!
Love all your videos... you make gel printing so much fun... very inspired to get back to mine. TFS.
Thank you Sally :) Have fun with that gel plate!
So much fun!! I love your narrative. You crack me up!
Thank you Lori 😊
Shel these gelli print videos are fabulous. I am learning so much from them. Hope you will make a playlist for this 31 day challenge. It would be great to watch all of them together!!! TFS : )
oh ok Shel - thank you for letting me know this ~ hugs
I am cocoa puff crazy for Gelli printing. Your 30 days of monoprinting is just what I needed at the right time. My art group is doing a fabric swap and I will be trying my hand at Gelli printing on black fabric. Fingers crossed that it will turn out.
Thank you Sharon :) As long as you use opaque paint it should work fine :) Have fun!
fantastic and fun prints! tfs
Love your prints.
Thank you Laura :)
I love all your videos!! I always find something new to try, to giggle at or just have fun with. I’m going to have to try the 31 days of gel printing myself! And make some tags too.

Thank you Vickie 😊 #crustybits forever!
Love your ideas
Glad you like them Bethwyn :) Have fun gel printing!
Excellent prints, I particularly like the patches of denim, shame the fashion at the moment is to have large holes gaping in your jeans Lol! Definitely going to have a go at that. Take care 🐰🐰
Thanks no you! I get so much inspiration from watching how you work your gelli plate.
I am looking forward to the next installment.

Thank you Karen and welcome to my channel 😊
Shel this is so awesome 😎 I really love 💕 what you’ve done here....I’m relatively new to Gelli printing, as I got my Gelli plate for Christmas 🎄 and I’ve learnt so much from just this one video xx Mags
Thank you Mags :) I am obsessed with gel printing and I am glad you are joining in the printing fun!
I have never gotten my hand made plates smooth enough for my liking. I just ordered the gel press bundle from Spellbinders. I am REALLY looking forward to it coming! I am enjoying these videos. I'm a card maker. I don't know why, but I am not loving craft paint for this. Many card makers do. I ordered some screen printing inks to try. Its taken me about 4 years of playing with my home made plates to buy one. I figured I would go all in!
How fun :) I am happy that you are excited to get that silicone plate. Yes, for me craft paint is a no...it drys way to fast for the desert where I live. I like medium to heavy body paints..or open paints that stay wet longer. I bet printing ink will work too!
@@ShelCPaperOcotilloStudio Thank you! I live in humid Southern VA, but I may play with it too long and let it get too dry. I bought the stuff to give you more open time on the inks.
Thank you for insight!
@@ShelCPaperOcotilloStudio My inks came today! I pulled out my home made gelly plate immediately. I LOVE the inks! At Consumer Crafts, they are about $5.50 for a 4 ounce jar and $15 and change for a 16 ounce jar. I am so much happier with these than craft paints!
@@jesseb5112 YAY! I will check out those ink and have fun with your new tool!
You got some great prints from these techniques Shel. Have you ever used the paper tubes as rollers? Like sticking bubble wrap or sequin waste, etc around the tube and then rolling across the gel plate to give continuous patterns.
Thank you Jackie 😊 I am aware of that use of paper tubes... but have not taken the time to make any.
Hi Shel, Gorgeous prints as always!! It's almost impossible to get styrofoam trays here in the UK , at least where I am it is, so I will have to see what else would work! Bubblewrap is my favourite of course!! One i have tried is to use an embossing folder on craft foam and then use that, it make fab prints. I have a lot of new things to have a go at now, so thanks Shel!! x
Thank you Nicki 😊 I did not know that. They even sell styrofoam sheets in craft stores here. Enviomentally not a great thing.
I know, Most of our supermarkets and shops use plastic now which I don't think is too environmentally sound either!! But Heyho that's how it goes!! lol
I'm in the same boat - no Styrofoam trays here either as they aren't recyclable so it's plastic trays as they can be recycled. I'm sure fun foam would work though.
Great prints! You are a pro at this now aren't you? Love it! Bog roll? Lol haven't heard that one before. Tfs! ♡
Thank you Susan 😊 one of my English friends used to call it that lol
Bog roll tube hahaha, I spurted my coffee, thanks for that :D. Great prints Shel, thank you for sharing.
😝 hey it’s called that! Lol Thanks for watching Jewels.
you all probably dont give a damn but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Malcolm Cruz instablaster ;)
@Ahmir Mason I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Ahmir Mason it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out !
These were great tips! Love the prints you made. Unfortunately, all the meat we get from the market is wrapped in nrown butcher paper. I think I will ask thee meat cutter/deli guy, if I could buy 1/2 dozen of the trays. He may think I am wierd, but I don't care. I will tell him, I need them for my art- so there! I thoroughly enjoy watching you make prints amd chat along the way, explainimg whatcha are doin', so thanks, Shel. Oh yeah, have you been successful, using both sides of the trays for marking?
love your videos the most....you are delightful and so helpful and sharing. how do i sign up for notifications?
Thank you Carolyn 😊 To get notifications from my channel click that little bell icon by the subscription one.
What do you do with all of this? I am waiting on my Gelli plate right now.
I use my prints in my mixed media collage art. They also make great background for art journals (I am making a home made print journal video soon) and also can be cut into card layers and artist trading cards. You can used them in scrapbooking. You can even collage them onto boxes and frames and things for home decor. They are all around good painty papers.
Can you make these texture plates with craft foam?
Yes, craft foam makes fun textures!
@@ShelCPaperOcotilloStudio cool! And you use a scoring tool to make the impression right?
Oops, lol it was supposed to say “Thank you!”,
These uppity spell checkers.
Judith Ritner - I like your uppity spell checker comment but you can always edit your original post. It’s the 3 vertical dots in the bottom corner of your post, click on that and you have the option to edit or delete your comment. That way you’re showing that spell checker who’s the boss! LOL
Thank you Judith... but that feature isn’t included in the creator software I use to get all my comments for all videos at once. Works on my phone though 😊
It's fun watching you do this but the end result is too haphazard for my taste. If I take the time to do something, I want to make sure the end product is worth the effort. I guess it's a case of what's more important, the process or the result. Maybe being a guy is why I am more result oriented. That plus the fact that for over forty years I was judged by results in my job. It wasn't enough to be rated number two. I wanted number one. Glad to say I achieved that some times. You know, I hadn't really paid much attention to it but I guess art is a reflection of our personal psychology.
So much imagination
Thank you Elaine 😊
