I have watched this several different times now, and really like the show and tell including the clean up pages. I would have liked to see the little brayer rub off gel plate sheets too to know what to expect on those! thanks so much!

I think so too Shel
Hey Ms Shel Belle,
I've been watching your videos on my TV and theres mo wah ti comment, dernnit all, loved this gel plate session, you got a lot of very pretty prints for your collection and collages.
Hugzzzzz hun❣
Thank you Patty :) They should make a way to comment on the TV..it is nice to see everything bigger! I usually watch in bed on my phone and its tiny!
Shel C
Yes it is tiny and it makes my shoulder sore from holding it up.. I'll be glad when this surgery is over with I hope it takes away the pain I've got. Who would know some pinched off nerves can cause so much pain.
I love your gel printing and this technique is really cool..... my only wish is if I could get some stencil girl stencils here in the UK. ... I will still look.... great effects Shel xx
Thank you Elaine :)
Hi Shel, Andrea (she sent me the link) told me about your talcum resist prints and I just finished that vid before this one. I am getting stuff together for my upcoming gel print day. I bought deli paper from your link and am excited to use these 2 techniques and more. These are so cool though it was a little hard to see the halos from the vid. I have 6 different colors of pebeo iridescent paints (if they still are good as I got them years ago-but they are probably fine as they're in tubes.) and I plan to use them among my acrylics. I have made many prints with them and they always add greatly to the print. It's fun to see that you frequently use them too. You use ypour results in so many different ways too and I love that. Thank you. XOXOJane
Oh how fun! A printing day :) Pebeo iridescent really do add to prints for sure. Enjoy!
I really enjoy this technique. Sometimes I get so involved that I forget to pull the stencil at the right time. Lol
Gel printing is like that :)
Gel with Shel. Gotta try this technique.
Thank you Reny :) It makes some prints that people say..how did you do that??? If you post your prints on social media use the #dark&brightShelC tag so I can find them!
Love this technique, shel. Sure makes some cool prints. I have to get the 12x12 plate, now that it’s affordable!
Thank you Cheryl :) Yes, the 12X12 isn't $70 or something anymore. I linked below the video where I purchased mine from Amazon.
Shel, just added it thru your link. Thanks. Now all I have to do is not buy other stuff, so I can get it! LOL!
It is tricky to keep to just one item LOL
Hey Friends :) If you try my Dark & Bright technique and post the prints on social media anywhere... please use the tag #darknbrightShelC so I can find and like them!
Hello, I discover your chain(channel) and already I adore your techniques. I am French and I live in Burgundy(Bourgogne). I like Gelli, I find it surprising. Thank you for the sharing. See you soon.:) New subscriber.
Thank you and welcome to my channel 😊
Love this technique and plan to have a go soon xxx💕 I want #crustybits
Thank you Susie :) Have fun with it!
Wow, this is so cool! I'm wondering, if on the print with the white on the bottom, would black have worked as the neutral pick up color? I cant wait to try this, thanks for sharing your new invention :)
Thank you :) I think black would work as the pick up color...and might show through a bit :) I was mostly just saying it seems like a lot of steps for a look you could get another way LOL
Very nice. I’ve done lots of that without thinking what I was doing. I like the results. I just got the 12x12 Gel plate and noticed that you seem to have it on some sort of lucite. Is that correct? If so, where did get it if I may ask?
Thank you Bonnie :) I bought a large piece of acetate used for replacing window panes at the home store and cut it up into the sizes I needed for all my plates. I just used a regular saw so some turned out a bit wonky LOL. If you want then perfect and polished Joggles.com makes mounts up to 9X11 size. Not sure if they have a 12X12 though.
A supersized BRAVO.......mraz
Thanks so much mraz :)
Cool prints! How do I get the dark paint to stay on the plate under the stencil and not be lifted off when I remove the stencil? It only leaves a halo effect.
In my experience you need a pretty viscous acrylic for the under layer. A heavy body or medium body with a good amount of squishyness (not a word..I know) Also, work fairly quickly. I have had the under paint dry to fast and stick to the stencil before as well. Just keep trying different paints and practicing until you find the right combo :)
Shel C ok, Thanks! I tried with Liquitex Basics and it stuck to the stencil. Next is going to be Lukas Akryl.
interesting video, I think socal is sending you the humidity, its dripping here
Thank you Lynda ;) SoCal can keep your humidity! We are just having our monsoon season and are really a bunch of whiny desert rats LOL
The last one is beautiful, not mud, I see roses, full of roses, just needs a few brush strokes
Thank you 😊
What’s the name of the first stencil? That’s my favorite print, the one you think isn’t that great :^)
Hi Lynn, that stencil is Dina Wakely's Jungle manufactured by Ranger. Here is a link but I believe it is discontinued. amzn.to/2WF3SrS
So sorry you had to do it twice...I liked the pink one. Good techniques to know.
Oh you know Liz...I can be a ditz sometimes LOL Thanks for watching :)
Where can I buy deli paper?
I order mine from Amazon www.amazon.com/TELMOO-Coated-Microwaveable-Resistant-WWP-002/dp/B077RTXRJL. You could also find it in a store that supplies restaurants.
A bit hard to follow. Given the number of "should haves" and mistakes, I would recommend editing the video. Why call it brights with darks when a light colored neutral is used to cover them? Bright colors and rather meh. No
Thanks for your opinion.
