I saw someone mentioned this, but I like to think that Rex just went “-I’m practically…” and blanked out from there just before collapsing.
I'm almost certain the zombie universe is a direct reference to the Walking Dead's comic book universe, since Robert Kirkman (the creator of Invincible) also created the Walking Dead.
I believe the main reason why Immortal loved Kate more than anyone else is because he's lived for thousands of years and lost countless people in his life, of course. So naturally, he'd grow distant from other people and even when he loved someone, he could never get too attached. But because of their unique circunstances, he actually started believing that the two of them had something special, that they both could always depend on eachother and such... Even if all we've seen from their relationship was the more casual side to say the least, it's clear Immortal actually got invested in someone just to have his hopes crushed in an instant like always.
For the record, Shrinking Rae (who was a man there) did die in the comics. The reason why she survived here is most likely because there will be some important characters later on that won't be possible to use unlike the comics, due to Amazon not owning the rights to (like for example Spawn has a cameo in the comics). So Rae got probably chosen as a substitute. Wouldn't surprise if certain future characters will also work like that. Plus, it makes more sense that she'd survive and allow hopefully for some character development.
Also it was stupid in the comics and was stupid here that the astronaut didn't seemingly get checked when they came back.

I assume he did get checked, they just couldn't find anything. There could have been an egg in his stomach that only grew to full size after it all happened
I mean techjacket, Grit and the werewolf dude essentially end up being mainstays in Invincible so hopefully they kept shrinking rae alive for her own arc and we still get these other characters down the line
We're just getting to the end of the first of three invincible compendiums. I'd guess the show will go for 6-8 seasons at this rate. Best reactor btw

I always liked Rex. I mean, his silly jokes is just my jam. He was a cheating jerk, sure, but other than that, he wasn't so bad. And his jabs were starting to get a bit more friendly through the course of season 1 already. Now he is definitely one of my favourite characters.

When I first saw rex get shot to the head and still alive I was like "HOW THE F&*#ING HELL IS HE ALIVE?!" ive seen alot of injure wounds but that's not possible

@@redalert923I've seen a lot of people say that you can survive a headshot if the bullet goes straight through. Apparently the reason headshots can kill you is because the bullet often bounces around the skull. Plus Rex has powers and is likely stronger and more durable than an average person. So it's definitely possible for him to survive that.

I've heard that Robert Kirkman plans to do somewhere around 8 seasons of Invincible. So atm it looks like we're about 1/4 of the way through.
I’ve seen some people complain Omni Man leaving behind those comics is weird since he was all for his people so it would be weird to have a fail safe like that but if you think about it if he’s trying to think of exciting stories he’d only tell the ones where he almost dies because any other encounter that isn’t life threatening he probably destroyed whatever he was up against in seconds so he would think that’s boring to write about
Agreed. I don't think he wrote them intending to document the weaknesses of Viltrumites. He only realized later that they could be used that way to help Mark.
I love the whole intro about what they can do with Rex, followed by his face when he gets his brains blown out.

I was so surprised and relieved by Rae's situation! I got spoiled that her male equivalent died in the comics this way and I had no hope but here she is!!!! She didn't suffer a stupid death! If someone can survive being crushed is someone who can shrink!!!

@@Gking10it's not impossible to survive getting shot in the head just unlikely. My mom's a nurse and one of my most vivid memories as a kid was her coming home and telling me she had a guy try to commit suicide and instead of dying he blinded himself by cutting his optic nerve

so a minimum of 6 seasons seems right

1:03:44 The only issue I’ve heard with Season 2 was that people didn’t like that break between Part 1 of Season 2 and Part 2 (current one). From what I’ve heard, there wasn’t that strong of a reason to delay Part 2 and it’s really only hurt people’s hype for the show. In terms of content and adaptation though, I don’t think people have any qualms though.

They should've kept him in quarentene (and Rudy and Eve too) or at least observation. And the astronaut guy should've had his house cleaned and receive his wage for life without needing to work again.
Cecil in the comics is way worse than in the show, he is still the same as here, but in the show they were able to keep him in a very gray area, where he is a good guy, but very shady and also very smart. In the comics he is less good and way less smart.
