Short story long, after war was over Wojtek end up in Scotland, Edynburg ZOO. Polish soldiers used to visit him time to time and he never forget them, they were still going into the cage to play with him. Poland was trying to get him back to the country but somehow they couldn't (even tho he was hero for real) Around 20 years later he died in 1963.

I found your channel some days ago and I've been binge watching all of your videos. Not only are they in depth and helpful, but also very entertaining, I really am learning a lot about the game and have found that I became a better player. Pro tip for tweaking this from Tommy Kay : Put 2 factories on AA at the start as any nation = have enough AA for whole game.
I love how I was thinking of doing this achievement yesterday but there wasn't a full fledged achievement runthrough. and you post this today. Talk about lucky, will try this later

I just played Poland for the first time to restore the PLC, and I didn't even look at the naval chief of staff options. All that pp that I left just laying on the floor... Definitely going to have to remember that guy on my next playthrough.
If you wanna see the result of encirclement combat, click the ledger in your Theater window in the upper right. You see which battles have encirclements very easily as they have ridiculously high casualty numbers.
Thank you for this guide! I'm not nearly as good at hoi4 as you are, so some spots against the Germans were a little rough, but eventually they just slammed into me over and over until I sent a few troops into Italy and got myself an achievement

For anyone watching this video after No Step Back came out, PDX did fix the Katowice core issue. If you give up Danzig and choose the "make them into an ally" option for the Eastward Expansion event, they'll leave you alone (although you'll have to deal with the Soviets).
@Bitt3rSteel, any chance of an updated guide with getting Wojtek as king of Poland? It's not an achievement, just a challenge, but it involves getting Wojtek before taking on Russia with Anastasia Romanov on the throne.

Loved this walkthrough to help get the achievement. However...in my game i still had Russia as a puppet when the event fired.. Either way
Bitter Steel. Could you do Duce nuked em. There is no up to date version of it and I’m struggling with it.
My advise, follow his roman empire video and knock out britain. Then just play around till you got nukes and can invade USA. Use British Island and Canada if you have it.
By the mid of 1936 try to get 48 division if possible then justify war goal on el salvador then declare war , after that The US will join the war , do naval invasion to the US , Then bring your armys to the east coast and capitulate the US , after that get your nukes then release the US and bomb them , Make sure you do test runs to get it right , Also ask venezuela for docking rights.
@@CaptainFluffle that is how I done it too. before invading England, conquer the Bermudas, then send 1 troop (to die) to Canada. this way they can be puppeted/annexed in the peace deal!
Invade France, naval invade Britain and 1 unit naval invade Canada at the same time to get them in the peace deal
Then use Canada to invade the USA ASAP
just win in Europe as Italy and invade usa. i went through Florida for fun but its not hard; even rearmed usa will lose to competent divisionn templates and navy bombers cas fighters

A great thing about paradox games is that they don't compress the games files with all the numbers, so you can easily rewrite things that ruin your fun, like a rule about not being able to be an empire and a ruler of the HRE at the same time, that stood in my way doing a eu4 play-through, or the broken job assigning AI in Stellaris, that completely ignores pop traits.
I did this back in 2016 by surviving a war between Germany and the Soviets lmao litterally turtled up in warsaw with level 7 forts. Then I somehow got Iran into comintern through old influence mechanics, then I joined allies to take roma and asked allies for hamadan. This video makes this a lot easier lol

I've just got the achievement. My first target was CS but I left the Sudets for the Germs. After that I gobbled Hungary. And fabricated on Litva. GB won't attack you because you are both guaranteed. Some of nordic nations might also throw guarantee but finish them via naval invasion. Same story with Latvia.
By 1940. I had around 100 factories, 120 divisons and after three month clash 40k ded on my side and 4 milion Soviets on the other.

The Allies not guaranteeing the baltic states might be a game mechanic to avoid having the USSR at war with Allies before Molo-Ribben-Pact.
I know you can cheese this somehow with the Allies guaranteeing Finland, but never have them seen do that with any baltic state, regardless of world tension

industry/eletronics > artillery/planes > army doctrine > tanks if you got the industry for it > everything else is occasional

Since i had the non-agression pact with germany i was able to put all of my army on the soviet border delaying their justification, that way I could quickly snag up both romania and yugo by justifying on yugo.

Just a question though, I did not understand how did you get bucovina.
PS. For the guarantee, I'm pretty sure no one will guarantee your target unless you (or your entire alliance) have generated more than 10% world tension.

Do you ever consider equipping maintenance companies on your infantry? They will provide so much equipment for your front line troops.

Ah, so sadly, in my run, I was able to puppet Russia, but as it turns out, the germans had a war goal on them. As soon as the peace deal was over, the germans were very happy to finally use it while my whole army was stuck in Russia. I capitulated before my army could even reach the front lines
same here. If it takes too long to roll through russia the german wargoal will kick you in the butt

For increasing the ammount of divisions that one general can have under his command(up to 30 for example) - is there a mod require to do it?
It is a trait generals can develop as they gain experience
@@Bitt3rSteel and if they develop it, can it upgraded even more? I sometimes saw a generals with up to 72 or even more divisions
24 is standard. 30nis with the trait. The exception is generals ordered to garrison an area. They can control 72ish units
Can you play as Canada and get their achievements?
Your game would also be perfect for "Poland can into space". Basically just get rocket tech, butuy obviously it's a low priority with the Soviets and Germans breathing down your neck at the start.

You really don't need the manpower that all the extra cores, plus it makes managing fascism a pain

How manay artillery do you have in your infantry template to be effective against the soviet ?
The template for offensive infantry is 14 inf and 4 art

Another great guide, but I have ONE problem with all your advice: regarding spies, any Russia-operating spy gets caught almost immediately in all scenarios, which you rarely mention. Why do you never recommend the overseas recruit centers for spies, and hire native Russian spies when preparing collaboration governments? I'm really puzzled here, or it might be the latest patches changed this behavior so much, while it was not a big deal one year ago. So: cryptology, pills, intelligence AND localized centers seem mandatory to any Soviet invasion plan. And helps with Japan too.

Fun fact: the Flak 88, main gun for the Tiger and Tiger 2 was originally and AA gun
The Soviets were losing thousands of T34s to German AA guns. As were the Allies, especially in North Africa. A 10 killo shell hitting 40 mm of armor at Mach 3 will cause quite the damage. The tank turrets will fly off and land 100 meters away.
Can you avhieve All Turkey's achievement? It's very hard.

it's so specific because Hamadan and Anzio were locations Wojtek actually fought/served in, the whole 'no Russia' thing is just to make it harder for the player :/

does anyone know how to possibly build up or down Germany so that the Danzig or war event can possibly be successful in getting Danzig without war?

Do you need a specific troop amount?
Do you need to improve relations?
Do you need a combination of the above?
I have been trying for awhile and I can’t seem to find a way for them to NOT outright refuse each time so I can try a solid wall of axis & allies vs Comintern without trading Slovakia for Danzig…
