thank you so much .... this tip saved me 3 big honet jars that i have saved that terned all white ... now i know not to throw it out ... many thanks and keep the good work ... god bless you
I'm glad I did some research because I just thought of it crystalized that it went Bad, I'm glad that this isn't the case, that it's still good and you can bring it back to it's regular state. Thank you
Thank you so much . I have a large jar of natural dark honey that a friend of my sister canned for me last year, but I don't eat it . So when I recently came across some videos on the many benefits of dark, raw honey, I decided to try using it only to find the bottom half of the jar of honey had started solidifying into sugar . I tried microwaving some of it, poured it back into the jar and stirred it in to melt what had solidified, but to no avail . I definitely wasn't going to throw it away, but I didn't know how to restore it to it's original smooth consistency . I'll start on it later on today . Thanks for this tip !
I have a pound and a half that quasi-crystalized. I bought a gigantic tub of honey from Stater Bros. because the difference in cost to the next largest was really low.
Move your Honey to a empty butter Tub. Crystalized Honey is the most Awesome Honey of all. I make my own all the time and use it every day as Coffee Creamer. Yummy & good for the Tummy.
I Have a 5 lb jar that I had in the fridge and it is totally crystallized so I was thinking of microwaving it, but the jar is too large so your method might be better! Now I need to find small honey bottles to move the liquid honey to! I like it on microwaved halves of sweet potatoes with cinnamon and butter
Unfortunately the jar will often take most of the heat into itself causing cracking or fracture. Ceramic and glass are especially vulnerable.. this method is a lot safer imo
I have a question is it ok to consume I mean there are no chemical changes going to happen to the honey after when I keep in boiling water?? Pls reply Is it ok to follow this if I have my honey in glass container??
Can i put the jar of honey in a microwave then whisk it? (I did check and yes the jar I have is microwave safe!) Sincerely, a girl much too lazy to wait for water to boil. 😅
You definitely don't want to be putting a plastic container full of honey in a bath of water that's too hot to touch.... Seeping of the plastic WILL occur :S
Chantle......Many people worry about everything like: .Being hit by lightening .Being hit by a car .Falling down the stairs .Pooping their pants .Having someone at work...talk about them .Not getting laid enough .Getting laid too much .Being too fat .What do people think of me .People hunting animals to eat .Should I post my life online Don't WORRY about shit.....it shortens your life.
@@exnjute This is the kind of thing you just avoid in order to avoid cancer 20 yrs down the line.. Just because you shouldn't worry about getting hit by a car, doesn't mean you should stand up in the middle of a highway.
Try using water below 115° Fahrenheit (45° celsius), otherwise the honey will lose most of its healthy enzymes (which have antibacterial properties). Lukewarm water will do the trick just as well as hot water, without destroying these enzymes.
@@y.k.9705 No, there's absoulutely no reason to 'throw' out honey just because it got warm, you think honey doesn't get warm while in the honey comb in the hive? Or once released and in storage or transit? Why do people have to be zealots on these things.
I'm pretty sure it can since it technically is just sugar. It's the same as a lollipop or regular granulated sugar. I'm pretty sure that you can decrystalize it. The only thing is that you can't use extremely high temperature because the honey loses its enzyme properties. And I don't think it changes flavor, maybe just texture
Yeah mine crystallized and it was in a plastic bottle and so I put it in the microwave and under a minute it was all liquid again like water I was freaking out!!! ♥️🥀🙏
Thank you. I really don't see the point of the sqeezy bottle if one had to go through this process every time. Surely it negates the quick and easy convenience of the clean release sqeezy bottle 🙃 Back to jars for me xx
Don't put them in the microwave, especially no plastic bottles. The honey will get hot enough to melt the plastic (and release who knows what kind of chemicals into the honey, from the plastic).
But the problem, in my view, is the plastic. It loses shape when in the warm water, also the cheap type 1 plastic has BPA meaning it contaminates the honey inside with carcinogenic plastic residues
Honey only ferments if it is stored with too high of a moisture content......which would be the beekeeper's fault. Honey that is "fully cured" and capped by the bees has a moisture content low enough that it will not ferment. Opinions differ, but it's proven that 18.6% moisture content or below is enough to prevent any fermentation. I have honey that is 8 years old from my apiary and it's still perfect.
@@tommyq374 , of course there is some moisture in honey. As long as it is below 18.6%, the honey will not ferment. Some Beekeepers pull honey off of the hives before the bees are finished dehydrating it to the proper moisture content, and if they bottle it at a high moisture content, there is a chance of fermentation. Good beekeepers will monitor this and not take a chance. So, honey that is bottled at the proper moisture content will never ferment unless someone adds water to it.....which should never be done.

so, you didn't consume honey for any particular reason? or you never tried before?
You should NOT microwave honey as that destroys the natural benefits.
This video saved me from throwing 80oz of honey 😂.
Sad I jus found out this just now so far I have already threw 3 half used honeys
holy cowww
Thanks. Also works for flavored syrups (I used it on blackberry syrup).

I love that I’m not the only person who would have stuck their fingers in the pot of boiled water. 😂🤣😂
Great and to the point video, thanks!
What's really yummy is a peanutbutter and crystallized honey sandwich!
Omg yessss
Uh-
Yeah I just had almond butter and crystallised honey toast and it was great
Yessss
Ma man. Absolutely!
Had the feeling i could fix mine and boom i found your video .. thank you
Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try it.
Thankyou
This happened to some local honey I got in Queensland Australia, will have this a go tomorrow
Life saver. Thank you!!

Thank you for this!
Very good video. We freeze our honey to stop crysalation. Thaw it out and it's perfect
Thought everybody new this trick. I came here looking for a new unique way. TY though.
You can also run it thru the dishwasher. Put it on the top level if your dishwasher cycle gets really hot to prevent it from melting the plastic.
Good way to have soapy honey.. if you're gonna go this route maybe double Ziploc bag it first
you have to be a moron to put it in your dishwasher
Thank you so much for this video. I have just try this and it actually works ☺
this has helped me a lot
It's helped me also now I know not to stick my fingers in a pan of formerly boiling water
Thanks so much!! Great tip!

It's better to keep it in contact with direct sunlight.
Thanks for the good information 👍👍
See without the dislikes I don't know if this is something the majority agree with or not..
But I'm going to try this thanks
Awesome video. I have a huge thing of honey that has crystallized. ❤️🍯
Thank you 😊
👍
How if we put Honey it in direct sunlight for 4 to 6 hours with outer temperature around 40 degree centigrade ?
What about plastic bottles? Should I transfer to glass? My honey is quite thick and opaque. I need spoon to scoop out
Thank you!!!
Watch out! That’s hot! Thanks for the knowledge
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Suggestions for crystallized honey in a plastic bottle? I've melted more than one bottle trying to melt the honey only.
Thanks doe the info.

Thank you

I just fast forwarded to where a pot appeared in the frame then started watching. This video only needed to be around 30 secs long.
Thank you
Jesus thank you
thank you for this! :)
Can you put it in the water if it's in a jar?
THANK YOU !!! got a big pack ... and was very sad...now im happy again..my oatmeal isn’t complete without honey
Thanks for the great infromation or idea about Honey madam/ sir...
1:55 ooh that's really hot😂
Thanks!
My jar of honey didn’t decrystallize after doing this. Is there anything else I need to know?
How long before it crystallizes again roughly? A day? A week? A month?
Thanks
Thank you
But dosnt it will change the medicinal effectivness property in that honey
What if the jar is glass?
What's best... lid open or closed?
Thanks 👍 very very much 🥰
Some of the other channels claim that hitting the honey above 140° will denature of the enzymes. Is this true?
Thanks love

Dang, your schools must suck over in Russia... /s
Does the heat change the honey
Can i put the jar of honey in a microwave then whisk it? (I did check and yes the jar I have is microwave safe!)
Sincerely, a girl much too lazy to wait for water to boil. 😅
you can also microwave it for about 30 seconds or a minute which is faster
Do you ever worry about the plastic compounds seeping into the honey, even if we can't see it?

After heating up honey you may as well throw it out.

It's never above 115F in the hive.
Is that a plastic jar?
The problem is, Pharaoh said that the punishment for eating his honey was death…
My honey crystallizes at 75 degrees. I’m in the south. It tastes good enough but it keeps recrystalizzing right after heating to liquid state
Does it change the flavor?
Could this be decrystalized multiple times?
I'm pretty sure it can since it technically is just sugar. It's the same as a lollipop or regular granulated sugar. I'm pretty sure that you can decrystalize it. Mmm yum. I want to taste that honey crystallized inside an old Egyptian pharaoh.
Mellified man...
Not crystallised in Egypt.I'm sure temp above 37*
This video just saved me from throwing out a bottle of organic honey 👍 thanks 🤣
I wasn't sure if I could do this with plastic bottles
Thank You for tip on decrystaluzing honey. The video was under four minutes. Hope You make a financial sti ging...
Thanks u
Why does the honey stay clear in supermarkets? In my local shop the honey is even kept near the fridge section!
It's not raw honey
Cutest laugh!!!
Your voice is so sweet like your honey.
...I thought I was the only one digging her voice...🙂🙃🙂 LMAO 😜
How do you de-crystallize a 55 gallon drum of honey?
So.. you melt it
I can't imagine that's good. isn't it going to melt some of the plastic particles into your honey?
just beware of microplastics. make sure the water is not too hot or boiling, this can melt the plastic into the honey.
Yeah mine crystallized and it was in a plastic bottle and so I put it in the microwave and under a minute it was all liquid again like water I was freaking out!!! ♥️🥀🙏
What about BPA (bisphenol) from the plastic, is that not very dangerous?
Danial Adam you can move the honey to a glass jar
Doesn't the heat temper with the nutritional value of honey?
If it's too hot yes, but if it's warm enough even for you to touch it without bothering you, then it will be just fine
Is there a shelf life after I heat it up?
Yep, thousands of years
I had heard this but I was worried that the plastic bottle would melt in such hot water…
Doesn’t look that way.
Not on a full bottle. Same reason you can put a lighter below a balloon filled with water. The material inside keeps the inside cool.

I heard you have to be careful with honey due to Botulism
I have read that heated honey becomes toxic.

So cute she puts her hand in hot water

37 degrees C is the max temperature as any more will destroy the enzymes
