Hi Jay, as an agency driver I would never leave someone else's truck in a mess, cleaner than I took it over maybe but never messy, always respect other drivers trucks😊
Same but maybe they didn't know it was driven by a regular driver. I've found that if they are not told, generally drivers don't care. One of the reasons I bought mine so so-one else drives it. But then I'm now the boss.
hi jay, my dad used to go mad when he had been off on holiday and someone had been given his truck and left it a shit heap, he was always polishing the interior, it was his home 5 days a week he used to say, keep up the great work.
i used to do tramping once over..I was mega ocd about my truck, the inside especially.. Used to be shit scared of having a week off and not knowing the state of the truck when i get back.. Actual anxiety, honestly… Or when the truck gets serviced over the weekend and the cab tilted and all your stuff is fired in the footwell… So i made a decision to longer give a shit.. And i still dont to this day… life is easier now, Honestly, try it
Er no there is not always a gap behind I’ve seen lorry’s along the inside lane nose to tail for about half a mile. How difficult is it to just ease off and let someone in. You know they may just want the exit. Live and let live. If someone wants the exit do they need to get in the inside lane miles before the junction or can you just ease off and let them through. M6 north around Birmingham I think one of the exits (maybe wednesbury) only has the first exit warning 3/4 of a mile before the exit. Not everyone is glued to the sat nav and has a countdown to the exit. Just let em go
Hi Jay I came across that year’s ago when on the bus heading back to Glenrothes from Glasgow or Dunfermline. Ok P reg double decker can only do 45mph. Bus driver was trying to overtake a car going a lot slower so when car driver saw the old double decker he’d put the foot doon. I’d never understood what makes those idiots tick & I never ever will. As I stay in Falkland Fife where some of Outlander was filmed. I use a Powerchair for my MS & only recently a car was so close to my rear I stopped in middle of road & I said keep back idiot. I’m extremely careful when out on it just a shame not everyone is as careful as I I’m Jay.

PAYED weekly hours basic 8 day overtime over 8 day NOT rip off salarys based on MAX OUT hours 60 week often works out less £12 hour class 2 £16 class1 . MOTTO given dirty shit lorry give it back shit , given clean lorry give it back clean show some respect simples . .Safe trucking .
I agree with Jay on this one, there was no need for the agency driver to have dirty hands while behind the wheel. wipes cost so little to clean your hands, gloves cost so little if you want to keep covid safe. and when using someone elses truck that is prestine condition, then leave it in the same condition. and we have all seen Jay get into the cab with fifth wheel grease on his hands, and as soon as discovered he has cleaned his hands immediately, as well as any surfaces he has touched.

See you managed to “ park up” the errant 14 plate Mazda driver behind the even slower car in lane 1 he did 1 under take to many. Enjoyed riding shotgun buddy good trip out. 👍

I do some freelance work and at one firm where I cover holidays they always joke that I’ll be cleaning the cab for them!
