- Indonesian police have arrested more than 100 Taiwan passport holders at a villa in Bali over alleged cyber fraud.
Immigration authorities said they conducted the raid on Wednesday and detained 91 men and 12 women. Computers and mobile phones were also seized, they said.
They were accused of misusing their visas and residence permits and are suspected of possible cyber crimes. Authorities said they are investigating whether the group might have ties to international syndicates.

We actually rather give China a free visa anymore than don't give Taiwan anymore, I saw most Chinese from mainland China are hardworking to earn money then open their new store and restaurant across Malaysia to have a better life and for studying in the university, I don't even see any Taiwanese are doing jobs and study in Malaysia

This is just part of a very big taiwanese cyber syndicate. They target mostly mandarin speaking population in asia. Malaysia, Singapore and Mainland China are their primary targets. Singapore have been pushing Taiwan to crack down on the syndicate's bases in Taiwan but with very limited success. Singapore's news network CNA actually did a documentary on this recently where they interviewed one middle ranked member of this syndicate. He bragged how his bosses will never get caught because of how well connected they are with Taiwanese officials. Middle managers like him might get caught he said but even then most of them just escape. Money talks.
And there's no news about this in Malaysia, how ironic
