Why should he care about Fentanyl when his goal is to kill pain patients and make us suffer and could care less about the massive amounts of Fentanyl coming across the border tragically killing our young people? His corrupt DOJ/DEA knows this truth, yet continues to accept fake "experts" who have never treated pain patients, only addiction. These "experts" are making millions, if not billions, testifying before government agencies and lawsuits. There are plenty of real experts trying to be heard about the truth, but the corrupt "experts," DEA and government agencies are making billions by ignoring the truth of illicit Fentanyl coming over the border.
My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones to illicit Fentanyl, but why must we suffer? It's not a competition, it's only the other side of this crisis. I have severe intractable pain due to multiple comorbidities that had been controlling my pain faily well and enabled me to have a halfway decent quality of life for 29 years. I'm 74 and suddenly, my doctor told me he was tapering me down by more than half a little over a year ago. By the end of 2023, I had slowly lost my ability to enjoy the things I love and care for myself.
I ended up in the ER on Dec 27 for 3 days...diagnosis: pain crisis, malnutrition, failure to thrive. I was transferred to an intermediate care facility for a month where I learned to operate a wheelchair and, after a while could sometimes use a walker for short distances. Since then, I've been forced into assisted living, unable to take a shower without help. I'm in terrible pain and feel pretty hopeless. I had to give up my lovely $2500/ mo condo. Assisted living costs me a minimum of $7500/mo.
In the ER, they brought my pain under control using the same amount of pain meds I took prior to being tapered. They told me I was being referred to a spine specialist and pain management. Now it's almost May and it still hasn't happened. Last week, my doctor told me she's tapering me off the remainder of these pain relieving drugs. She won't discuss pain management or the spine specialist. I wish I was dead every day. I can't even enjoy a short visit with family. I managed to make it to this past Thanksgiving at my son's, but couldn't make it on Christmas.
We are told there should be a partnership with our doctor in our health "care," but I feel more like we're adversaries.
Over this past year, I've learned a lot about the truth regarding the unjust assault on doctors and pain patients. I wish our reps and the media made a small effort to do the same. The truth is out there. It's easily available just by using a Google search to find the real experts. There are plenty of people trying to help us but few will listen. There are millions of us and the numbers are growing. Their stories will make you cringe. Don't think you or members of your family won't be affected one day. You/they are one accident or serious illness away from joining us.
I've noticed that people who scream "Shame on you" - are always people with no concept of shame whatsoever.
