The conflict has been going on for a lot longer than decades, it didn't just start when the Arab armies attacked Israel in their first attempt to wipe out all the Jews in Israel. As a Japanese university student, I'm not very familiar with the atmosphere and culture of foreign universities. I'm curious whether the students who engage in such protests represent the majority or just a minority. Also, I wonder if there's a peer pressure aspect where classmates feel compelled to join in such protests due to social conformity.
Most of the people there aren’t even from the university, it’s the same with the protests in the USA. Some are even paid to be there. Considering what’s going on with all the universities across a large part of the world I envy Japan, it must be nice and quiet there. An excellent learning environment. I often dream of visiting Japan but lack the money to afford such a trip. I wouldn’t want to go for just a week, I would like to stay for a whole month to truly experience it.

I see people screaming police brutality, but the cops aren’t even being that rough until the protesters start fighting them. The cooperative ones were being treated far more carefully.
The Germans are being pretty no-nonsense but compared to the Dutch they are also pretty gentle. I saw a video about Amsterdam and really admired the baton work.

All these "spontaneous" demonstrations take a LOT of coordination.
The protest started the day after 10/7. It's evident they knew about the massacres ahead of time. It takes weeks, months, to fund and organize protests. It was all planned.
