- Have you ever wondered how quickly you can summarize an anime? No? Oh, well if you did, then this Elfen Lied video is the video for you. Elfen lied is a crazy show, but I don't remember elfen lied being this crazy when I originally watched it. Elfen lied also has an outrageous amount of boobs (yay... editing) and an equally insane story.
This video was very fun, but challenging to create. Sticking to a set amount of time to essentially go through an entire series like elfen lied was interesting. The hardest part was recording the audio, speaking fast, loud, and a lot, made a couple of segments sound different. by the next one all of those problems will hopefully be resolved. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the elfen lied whole anime in 4 minutes video, and if you did consider subscribing or leave a comment giving advice for the future!

Lucy is a special breed of human referred to as "Diclonius," born with a short pair of horns and invisible telekinetic hands that lands her as a victim of inhumane scientific experimentation by the government. However, once circumstances present her an opportunity to escape, Lucy, corrupted by the confinement and torture, unleashes a torrent of bloodshed as she escapes her captors.
During her breakout, she receives a crippling head injury that leaves her with a split personality: someone with the mentality of a harmless child possessing limited speech capacity. In this state of instability, she stumbles upon two college students, Kouta and his cousin Yuka, who unknowingly take an injured fugitive into their care, unaware of her murderous tendencies. This act of kindness will change their lives, as they soon find themselves dragged into the shadowy world of government secrecy and conspiracy.
Elfen Lied is based on Lynn Okamoto's seinen manga series of the same name and premiered while the manga was still in publication. The anime follows the source material through the first 7 volumes, with several alterations to the story, and concludes with an exclusive ending. In an interview, director Mamoru Kanbe expressed his disappointment in having to 'condense' to story into 13 episodes and felt that more were needed to include significant plot details that would have made the series more emotive.
The artistic design of both the opening and ending sequences are heavily inspired by the works of Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt. Colors and patterns resembling Klimt's distinct style were used and characters of the series were drawn to recreate several paintings from the artist’s golden period, including The Kiss (Lovers). The opening theme Lilium, which is sung in Ecclesiastical Latin, uses lyrics taken from The Bible, the Renaissance hymn Ave mundi spes Maria, as well as the alchemical compendium Theatrum Chemicum.
To be honest I was quite young when I watched this show and didn't quite understand it. In my memories the whole series is carried by the opening song: Lilium.

I just finished binge watching it in a day after years since I last saw it. The story still hits hard! Love this series.
Anime is awesome. But if you're new, don't watch this. Watch like, Fullmetal Alchemist or Pokémon or something. This is not entry-level anime
In all fairness, it's not that bad. I watched it when I was around thirteen years old, and if I recall correctly, it was the second anime I watched in full, the first one being Love Hina. It was a difficult watch, but not really traumatic.
I like Elfen Lied but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want your stomach to get raped.
The amount of horny fan service overshadows the story completly and that's just sad.

I had way too much unrestricted internet access and my brain blocked out most of the nudity and shit so all I could remember was her backstory, the dog scene, the sister scene, one solider getting his eyes squished out, and yeah 😂 so watching this and seeing all the nakedness I’m like “Hm…What the Fuck did young me think about this??”

I watched it when I was 12 on a flip phone, and god i was traumatized. The puppy scene stuck with me for years. Recently rewatched this anime again out of nostalgia. What was younger me thinking?!?! Tbf, I was going thru my edgy phase. What bothers me the most now is not so much the nudity and gore, but the kissing cousins lol

Every time I see the flashback of when Lucy murdered those bullies, I can't help but think that they deserved it especially for killing the dog.
I mean it's understandable why they were bullying Lucy, But killing the dog was going too far. I mean in what crazy f'd up world does a kid willingly beat a dog to death? It's just stupid.
Pretty normal. The world isn’t very nice. Kids perfectly capable of killing animals for fun and it happens plenty. We just don’t see it in the news or other media much.

Yo this could be a good niche, if you’re still doing this CZcams thing chief I’d recommend Shiki next, it’s an obscure-ish 2010 anime centering around a rural village in Japan (with an ominous castle on the hill) being infested with vampires, and the village doctor fighting them at any cost.

This was sad for me. I watched this when I was 15 and at that age obvi loved ladies but there was not a moment where I was a wanka boy watching this. I enjoy the story thoroughly. I was a foster child, a nobody so the vibe was there. The shows on today are horrible with typical typeA personality protagonist with a modern day political agenda.

I just finished watching it today, looked up a few manga comparisons since it apparently was released earlier than the anime. My conclusion is that it is quite underwhelming; there was some potential hidden but the poor pacing and some awkward story choices just butchered it thoroughly. All I seem to find is nothing but praise and remarks about "how deep it is" but I can not wrap my head around it to be honest. It was not for me but I am happy that many seem to find joy/ comfort in it. It definitely was an experience though and Lilium as a beautiful piece of music.
