It may seem like Spring is still a long way off but to help brighten those chilly Winter days I wanted to help you plan ahead by sharing the 10 most wearable spring fashion trends on the horizon. There are some great fashion trends in store for 2024 but as always, the trends will only work if they suit your personal style and your lifestyle. So please think about these two things when you find yourself being excited about a new fashion trend. It can be easy to get caught up in the newness and lose sight of what will really work for you on a real day-to-day basis.

I love to see this polished pretty shift in fashion. I think it’s a response swing away from the extremely relaxed styles and over abundance of athleasure that we have seen the last three years. We are all ready to get dressed and be out in the world and seen! But of coarse with a modern take. Also, I love all black for all year. 😂. Not just me?!?
I am really happy too. I always preferred looking put together, sporty doesn't fit me at all and I am glad the options are coming back just when my old pieces are getting worn out.

Love black in spring and summer. Peplum tops are so cute and pretty! Love, Love, crop jackets! I'm so happy Capri pants & kitten heals are back in style. It's easy dressing for spring and summer. Really like shear peices they give you more options. I'm so glad high rise pants are here for a while. Side part hair styles are really nice. Enjoy your videos. Dropped waist is a hard no for me. I'll continue to belt and emphasize my waist. My love affair with black continues - happy it's on trend! Just bought a lovely floral peplum blouse to brighten the next few months. Likely passing on capri pants. I don't think they flatter anyone. Kitten heels, yay!! Hi Leonie! Love your channel and glad you had a great time in the states! One day I will get to NZ!! I just wanted to make a comment in rebuttal to the people who make comments about your hair. First of all, how is it anyone's business how you part your hair? I wore bangs and a side part (if I parted) since high school (I'm turning 61 tomorrow). I just don't get the need of random strangers telling you negative things. I think if you can rock a middle part, go for it! I never could so I stopped around age 16. Did anyone else? Nope, until short hair came in in the 80s. Anyway I just wanted to offer some support and to acknowledge you for putting up with the haters who really should find something else to do. ♥

For what it's worth I find folks commenting on your centre part a bit odd. I wear mine side-parted, slightly side-parted, centre-parted. I find it interesting how so many of the late 90s trends are coming back in both clothes and hair!
As always, great video ❤ I recently lost some weight, and I have been decluttering my closet. But I am not letting go of my high waisted paper bag pants. They are a size bigger, but when I tuck in my shirt they look soooooo good. If anything I can tailor them to fit better if I loose more weight.

I've never not worn my side part. That's one thing I'll NEVER change.
As a wardrobe stylist and personally I can't stand high waisted anything and for some reason I walk better in stilettos than kitten heels. 🤣
Last yr I bought 2 very nice leather bags (cream and black) by a brand called FURLA. The older vintage ones are so pretty- great leather and they tend to be larger bucket style/slouchybags. I love them and use them all the time, going out or everyday.

Agree. And at 4’11”, the dropped waist dress is also a ‘no.’ I’m very happy that the leg-lengthening high-waisted pants trend is continuing, though I have to be careful about not going too wide with the leg width.

By the way, I have learned from other fashion influencers that black is very harsh. A dark navy blue or chocolate brown can be a better choice.
It depends on your natural color palette. For me it is very harsh if I use it close to my face (fine for pants, accessories, etc), unless I put some make-up to balance it. Grafite, all shades of gray, dark brown, navy, dark greens are better than a total black. Same with a pure white. Off-white, creamy white, pear color, etc look better on me. But if you have high contrast (light skin, dark hair for example), you probably can use black & white without any problem. I always prefer to pair black with darker colors or neutrals. I usually don't like black + light or bright colors. I love to use black with marsala, for example.

It so weird how the season is so different than what I am experiencing right now with the double digit below zero freezing temp and I watching springs items. This is a cool heads up of not getting rid of once when spring cleaning comes around for those that follow trends. We suppose to get into the tens tomorrow and there forecast to be sunshine. Hooray! I don't know why it became so popular to begin with since it's just too busy of a print. Thanks again for your insight into fashion!

Those Songmont bags look great. I had forgotten about that bag company until now. I love the green hobo one. But, the Luna one is also really nice since it can change styles. However, I already have a luna-shaped bag as a few years ago, I bought the Numéro Dix by Polène in black with white stitching.
As for kitten heels, I've always adored them and used to wear them a lot back in the day as I detest high heels. I think I got my first pair of kitten heels in my early 20s back in the 1970s. LOL!

Hi Leoni. May I ask your opinion ? I have a nice denim jacket (a tad long). It’s by White Stuff and I was thinking of just chopping off the band at the bottom, not sewing it but leaving a raw edge. I’m hoping it will take out some of the fullness as well as making it shorter. I’m 75 and don’t want to look younger (as if that’s ever going to happen 😂😂😂) I’m just thinking it could look more stylish and could wear my longer shirts or tees underneath. I don’t want to be cutting about in cropped jackets - I’m too old and too fat …….

I’m 5’3 and short waisted and drop waists are hit and miss for me, peplum tops look awful. I do wear capri pants in warmer weather because I am a little limited in what I am allowed to wear to work and capris are the most comfortable so hopefully the fashion police won’t come arrest me, lol. I work with young children, many with special needs, so there is a lot of moving around, bending over, lifting, etc. You always have such nice content Leoni! Happy New Year ♥️
