It’s said that this song came about when Chicago was touring with The Beach Boys. Chicago kept doing Beach Boy covers during their set so this song was created to stop Chicago covering Beach Boys songs.

Brian Wilson did not sing back up on this song on the studio recording. Neither did Mike Love. Only Dennis and Carl Wilson and AL Jardine with Peter Cetera.
