    This is a great video! Just a correction; you don't check for nystagmus in the extreme lateral position as some amount of nystagmus is physiological in this position.
    But, all in all a wonderful job! Thanks!

    romberg is a posteior column sensation .. why in cerebellar lesion

    • @fadeskywards1245
      @fadeskywards1245 Před 4 lety +1

      It's because loss of balance indicates positive Romberg, and the cerebellum is amongst other things, important for maintaining balance.

    • @DrAbhinavSinghParihar
      @DrAbhinavSinghParihar Před 4 lety +1

      Rhomberg is a sign of sensory ataxia not cerebellar ataxia...

    • @acatsquad243
      @acatsquad243 Před 3 lety +9

      @@DrAbhinavSinghParihar yes that's why it is done first, before the other tests. If we don't do it and find ataxia in the other tests, we lose a significant element that helps as distinguish between sensory and cerebellar ataxia.

    3:40 is a reflex like that normal? It looks hyper🤨🤔

    • @boedix83
      @boedix83 Před 4 lety +1

      that was normal, hyperreflexia will show more highly extension of the lower limb like we can see at stroke patients.
