Exploring How to Create God Rays (Volumetric Lighting)

  • I hope you enjoyed sharing this journey with me of exploring volumetric lights and simulating cloud shadows on the screen.
    I don’t know if this approach is standard or not, but I think it looks good and it runs very well, which is the most important thing for me.

    However, keep in mind that this system currently only works with orthographic projection, but I’ve been thinking of ways to use the same optimization techniques in perspective projection mode as well. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in.
