Trains at Stafford 27/1/2024 (ft. Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express)

A very busy morning at Stafford station featuring 10 freight trains, LNWR Class 730/2s on test and Railway Touring Company's first 'Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express' of 2024, with WCRC Mk2s instead of this tour's usual Mk1s due to the recent legal trouble that WCRC have got into over their Mk1s. As well as this tour, another highlight was seeing 68018 really being put to work, starting up a 1,400 tonne container train just outside the station, which made an absolutely brilliant noise. GBRf's Platinum Jubilee liveried 66734 makes an appearance, hauling an aggregate train bound for Banbury. However, one of my personal favourite clips of the day was a mega 7-tone from 66618 on the diverted 6M90 Brentford to Tunstead empty stone train.
