Fasting is an incredible tool. Whenever I’ve done it, it has really helped me a lot. For some reason I forget how helpful it was and I don’t come back to it unless I’m in a slump and feeling overall unhealthy.

I do 14 days, never asked my doctor. She is a traditional doctor and won’t understand, let alone call me daily.

I did a 40 day and night water fast I didn’t consult with my doctor. I turn out fine. My doctor was amazed that my health tremendously important.

Great video explaining the stages and I'm really glad you talked about the risks of water fasting on your own for long periods. We don't hear this often enough in the water fasting community. Thank you :)

Thank you for saying you need to be under a dr care because this disease is different for different people. Not all of us can go that long without food before our sugar drops so low it becomes a danger to fast. I didn’t grow up with food because we were so poor we were lucky to eat once a day so going without food has never been a problem for me until I became diabetic.

10 days dry come on man

The recommendation for a 'dry' fast, ie no liquid of any sort, is around 24 hours, to avoid becoming dehydrated, which is a life-threatening condition and which can impact people after only 2-3 days. I find it a bit hard to believe you managed 10 days 'dry'.

Extended fast or any fasting is torture in my opinion. And I dont care one bit that it might be healthy, just eat wholefoods untill comfortably full. "Edit" I did fasting quite a lot a few years back even extended fasts. So many say they feel wonderful.
I never felt that, its more like torture not to have breakfast or dinner when family has. I have followed Dr Goldhamer True North healt center over the years. But I find The McDougall program more enjoyable. ☺️

Fasting is definitely not for everyone, eating whole foods is fantastic!

People have been fasting since the beginning of time. In the beginning we didn't always have food to eat every single day. People fast religious reasons all over the Earth. Human wasn't meant to eat all day everyday. That's why we're fat and sick now.

@@hbrown3953 I did not say I eat crap, I eat wholefoods the question was if one think fasting is good and I dont think it is. It is my opinion, and something you have to accept.

If you have an eating disorder, fasting is a BAD idea.

True, it is certainly not for everyone.

That's true but not everyone have a eating disorder.
