Hey Biffa, unlock all tiles and web lots of windy roads with a whole load of tiny villages. Then slowly build up each village over the episodes. This would give you the non uniform look of the UK and would be massively authentic 😊

The single good thing about the end of CS1 development is that our cities will stop breaking once mods stabilise. I'm still developing my transitional city (on the road to 150k now), but I should clean up the assets and start a new, more ambitious, project these next few months. And the best thing is that I know I'll be able to spend six months or more on it without the fear of a new DLC breaking my mods and my city with it. Lost so many detailings to breaking that I just stopped doing it and settled for basically landscaping. Now I actually intend to detail my main stuff again.
RIP Blightea on the Wold. You'll be sorely missed.😢

It is lovely to see CS1 coming back to life, I really hope even after CS2 is working proper it continues to be loved. I'm so happy and excited to see a new CS1 build. I can't wait to see what it becomes.

The terrace areas might like ginnels every 10 or so houses, these provide gaps for the garden to re-align.
I repeat it Brewmingham or Brewm for short is a perfect name, with the added value that you could build the marvel that is spaghetti junction. Think about it.
Hopefully it will grow to be big and crazy like Brum!

I'd love it if you'd make a manor and farming estate in this city! I live in the countryside and I've never seen a CZcamsr make one. I think it'd be a fun challenge to create the farm fields, nature passages, shooting areas, estate cottages, etc.
2:33 Tailgating, stuck behind a caravan* and nobody using the inside lane, looks like a perfect British motorway to me! (Not saying anything about Yorkshire Tea drivers, that part's pure coincidence.)
(*Yes I know it's a motorhome/winnebago.)

You forgot the gennels/jennels/ginnels through the terraces again! Every terrace needs at least one gap for nipping through to the back, or an alley or footpath through from one side to the other.

Yaaay so excited about British Cities Skylines 1 city!! Remember watching Blightea just two years ago when I started my Cities Skylines journey, now this beginning of the new series feels like homecoming! Can't wait to see how this new UK city develops and grows 😍
I've stuck to CS1 for now, still working on my UK city that I started in Sept 22 so will be eager to have this CS1 content coming!

It's great that this is a UK build, too many generic looking American cities in both CS1 and 2, I'm really looking forward to seeing this progress.
Since your using UK roads, can you possibly swap out those horrible vanilla streetlights on your residential zones for something a bit more British looking?
Also, the big multi level junction... single lane exits are fine but the entry lanes onto the roundabout need to be at least 2 or 3 lanes wide. You may even need to add spur roads eventually, this junction is going to be handling a lot of traffic into your industrial area and commercial area so plan ahead and try to future proof the junction. In the UK, timed traffic lights are often added too.
Also, don't forget British cities are basically starting from the centre outwards, older buildings in the centre going to newer ones on the outskirts, you might want to observe this in the district styles you choose.

So happy to see another British series Biffa! Can't wait to see where the build goes. I'm not a PC cities player so don't know if it's a thing or not, but it would be great if there's a mod to have industry mixed in with housing without the negative problems. Be good to see some industry along housing streets, like the odd factory or something, just to add that extra realism! Can't wait to see the rest!

13:53 I know this area will be redone, but you zoned on your brick wall lined roads and the zoning doesn't remove the walls in front of the buildings that grow in.

I like that there's proper terracing, but it's a shame that the gardens are twice as wide as each house. Still, looks better than nowt (although nowt's what we had in 70s Manchester...)
I miss district themes so much, being able to have multiple themes with just 1 zone

VERY excited for this series! The cities skylines 2 series suffered only through the lack of content the game could provide. The OG British theme build is what reeling me in initially and I missed it when it ended. Can't wait to see what happens this time round 😊
This starting area is by far the most beautiful one I've ever seen in CS1 😍.

You don't know how happy I am at seeing another British series being done. I've really missed seeing a proper CS1 series and since CS2 came out last year and despite my best efforts really couldn't get into any CS2 content no matter who was doing it. Really looking forward to seeing what you do with the series and hopefully lots of British buses and trains at some point.

Those roads by McWelshman are so beautiful. It’s a shame that they don’t really work. Be prepared for pedestrians in the middle of the road at that big roundabout 😂

Building a city over that lovely countryside would be a crime. You should build a series of small towns and rural communities instead.
Building one big city and tons of small towns and villages has always been my dream, but people never really want to live in the latter because they're far away from the big city, and I don't want to add big fire- and police stations and hospitals in them, because that would defeat the whole idea and aesthetic. Haven't played in over a year and still figuring out the best way to build what I want...

Have you connected those towns to the main big city with some public transit options? Like trains or busses?
@@Moredhel83 Having a train station in the community should help, as well as easy access to a commuter route, or better still build some small scale offices in the area to provide them with jobs. You can also download British themed workshops and woodyards which you always see in rural areas as industrial centres.
@@TheSkyGuy77 yes, I had bus lines and some of those tiny single platform train stations to bring the rural folk straight into the city, but they still barely wanted to live there.
ohh god biffa is back with good old cs1, great news! Would love to see you use procedural objects as well, it changes everything about building in game.
I understand you start with the arterial road there from the junction, but make sure you keep space to make a ringroad around the map, so over time you can delete the motorway through the middle. A bit like real life Valencia where they reclaimed the land where the river used to be and changed it into a park.
Good to see you back on CS1 making a Bri'ish city!! And even better to see my houses being ised. I'll be working on some UK motorway bridges next week.
I lived in the eastern part of the UK, and OH boy ... I wish A12 is as wide as the game shows. hahahahahahahahahha

Back to CS1. Such a good game. It would be great to make a few smaller towns dotted around the map. Sort of place a pub and shop and few houses and farms and then leave it.

Would be good to keep the hill as is, bit like a Hill Fort as a lot of areas in the UK have, or make it a walking spot and make money from it through the parks

Not many things better than a CS1 fully modded British Biffa city... music to our ears! You just cant replicate anything like it in CS2! Already looking brilliantly Blightea! Love the gardens but the terraced houses are two houses per single cell, so each garden is shared by two houses... 🤔

Biffa, please please please, can you set the vehicles properly so they don't all travel at the same speed? A UK lorry is limited to 56mph normally, and cars travel lot faster. Hope you see this!!!

I think you need a couple of access roads to split up the long lengths of terraces. Maybe 10 or so terraced houses then a cut through road then more terraced houses. Just thinking about how they were when I lived in York.
