Thank you for this wonderful quick look into your past career using only Nikon cameras. I personally would love to have you do some videos on using the old light meters and a deep dive into being a photo journalist and how you are trained to think about what and how to shoot your fabulous cover shots. I really like that shirt. I wish you good health and happiness and keep bringing us these wonderful videos
The interviews with Mr Woo are fun. I wonder about the designers of these older mechanical cameras although I don't suppose there are any left these days. I would like to hear your about you approach to PJ, it's always interesting to hear from someone who has put the hours in to hone their craft. I'm sure there are many lessons to be learned. Y
Thank you so much for your content John. I would love to see your past work... perhaps themed based slideshows on Sports, Concerts, Travel, Documentary images, etc. with your voiceover commentary to add further context. Cheers.
@@Photojouralist123 Hi John, I’m a scenes of crime examiner in Ireland specialising in crime scene photography. Many of the photographs which I have taken go beyond the legal argument. In a recent case which involved a traffic accident injuries claim, a single photograph proved liability & the claimant was successful in his personal injuries claim, even without the case being heard in Court.
Hi John! Found the best lens for my big camera. Sl2-S is built like a tank and the 24-70mm is heavy. So I bought the Sigma 45mm compact lens. Perfect match. Cheers! BTW the Pancake 26mm works great on my Z9 too! 😊
Hi John, you look very comfortable on camera, watch out the networks may want you on air. Nice info on your photo history and your journey with Nikon, enjoy your show, you are doing very well. Congrats - Jeff
I have been looking the Leica S3 for Medium Format and just found out that Leica discontinued it. It seemed an awesome camera. Then I saw the $19,000 price and figured that maybe I can find it second hand or on Ebay someday. Cheers!
Thanks John for filling in the gaps of the channel presenter. Sounds like you were and are a superb PJ with great success. Well done. Only thing I found terribly distracting was the fact that everything was in reverse. Not sure why you filmed it this way. The Nikon brand on the camera. The number 27 on your T shirt etc etc. Keep making more videos please. Perhaps leaving aside Mr Woo’s series you could do a video or two on your studio set up if taking photographs indoors or how you would ( and did ) plan a series of shots for a specific outdoors event - protests etc etc and how you got attached to AP etc.
Sorry about that my iPhone front camera makes everything backwards and tried to change it in the settings but somehow can’t get it to work. I’ll probably use my Insta action camera next time. Ok I’ll go over some specific events I covered
hey again John , maybe one topic that might be interesting since you touched on sending clients photos and having the right file sizes . maybe you can tell us how you go about saving the final file , if its a Jpeg and how you size it for different media ie; print or magazine vs file dimensions and file sizes for the web . thanks :)
Hey John.... I got to play catchup on the videos ... Been busy while I've been here l back in the States. I'll give you a shout when I'm heading down to KL... Maybe next month... Hope your good brother
Have a camera question. If I wanted to take pictures of the Francis Scott Key Bridge incident from four-miles away ( Fort McHenry across the water to the bridge ). What would be an ideal camera set-up ?
Im always very interested in photojournalism, I lack the confidence to really get involved with that kind of documentary or street photography, Id like to hear your stories and more about how the profession works!
I like your and Mr Woo. You covered my favorite film brands Olympus, Nikon, and Leica.
