    Baking Christmas cookies has been a cornerstone of our families Christmas traditions long before our time. Today we are going to bake them together. As a special treat we are also going to try making Mama Minyard's fudge for the first time.

    Mama Minyard's Fudge
    12 Ounce can of PET evaporated milk (we used generic brand)
    1/4 pound of butter
    4 1/2 cups sugar
    1 pound bag of mini marshmallows
    (2) 11.5 ounce bags of chocolate chips (we used milk chocolate)
    3 Cups chopped nuts (we used walnuts)
    1 Tablespoon Vanilla
    Pinch of salt
    Below are Mama Minyard's written instructions:
    1 large can Pet Milk
    1/4 lb Butter
    4 1/2 cups sugar
    Bring to boil and boil for 6 minutes. Turn off heat and add 1 large package marshmallows and 2 packages chocolate chips. Stir until marshmallows and chips are dissolved. Add 3 cups nuts abd 1 tablespoon vanilla and 1 pinch of salt.

    We sprayed two pyrex pans with coconut oil spray and then once the fudge was in the pan, we put it into the fridge to set up. Once set we removed it from the fridge, cut it into small squares and shared it with family. Everyone loved it.
    Greats Peanut Butter Cookies
    1 Cup shortening
    1 Cup Sugar
    1 Cup Brown Sugar
    2 Eggs
    1 Tsp vanilla
    1 Cup Peanut Butter
    3 Cups Flour
    2 Tsp Baking Soda
    1/2 Tsp Salt
    Blend sugars & shortening. Add eggs & vanilla. Whip until smooth. Add peanut butter, then all other ingredients. Mix until well blended. Roll in spoon size balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and crisscross with a damp fork. Bake at 350 degrees fir 8-10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen
