- Full of pumpkin spice flavor and perfect for Fall! This easy pumpkin spice cake starts with a boxed mix, has just 3 main ingredients, and you bake it in a 13x9-inch pan so it's grab and go! You'll never stress about what to bring to potlucks and office parties again!

Ingredients:
▢15.25 oz spice cake mix
▢15 oz pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling
▢3 eggs
▢2 tablespoons bourbon, optional
▢1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, optional
▢2 cups cream cheese frosting, or topping of choice
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Put all the ingredients except the frosting in a large bowl.
Stir together with a large spoon until smooth.
Spoon into a 13x9-inch pan that has been buttered or sprayed with baking spray.
Bake 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool and top with the cream cheese frosting or your favorite topping.

Cream cheese, lemon juice and powdered sugar for the frosting. Whip it up with an electric mixer. So delicious!
I bet it would be good with chopped pecans & maybe crushed pineapple like a carrot cake.

Looks very good and easy. What do you think if I added diced apples to that mixture? Do you think I would have to add and liquid because of the apples or not?

@@MaryeAudet-RestlessChipotle I am gonna try it with apples. I think because there is a lot of water in the apples it would be fine with no more liquid. I'll let you know!

@@MaryeAudet-RestlessChipotle I am thinking of adding walnuts or pecans in the cake mix with apples and also sprinkle crushed nuts on the top too. Even some golden raisins in the mix to or real cranberries would be great.
I have a recipe for apple pumpkin muffins. You add in one diced apple It is delicious and I think it would work for this as.
