Love this topics. Details are soooo important. A walk through with the customer is key. Is the fence contour, level, stair stepped?Change order with signature is so important. This is why former installers turned salespersons paperwork is almost always better than the ones who didn’t install.

We had this issue for the first time last week . The homeowner agreed on a price which was just below 1,000.00. First she couldn’t meet us at her property like she agreed , then we had to drive about 20min to meet her and get the check , then her husband wanted to see the gates and he didn’t get off till 5:00, then she said her husband was pissed because he didn’t like us wanting our money the same day job was done. So finally after being cussed out I pulled the gates out and left.. they were shocked 😳.. If I’m not getting paid I’m not leaving the work

Not a fencer but gardener. Sorted out a hedge which was overgrown by about 6ft. I cut it down to an agreed height and tidied up the mess. Tried to get payment but the wife of the customer, who wouldn't come out, wanted another 3" off the height. Ok, out comes all my gear and 3 inches comes off. That's great says customer. He goes in to see the wife and she wants anther inch off. No, I just want my money I said. This went back and forth until another few inches come off and finally got paid. Now it's done in writing and any more off or shorter in length and the price is added on. I've also lost money due to not wanting to go to court. Great videos.

I really like your content. I find it super useful. But I wanted to ask you if you’ve done a video on dry setting fence posts? I don’t do it, but I see a lot of people do. What is your opinion and any pros or cons you might have insight on.
