I got PC with 3070 on board (I couldn't wait as my previous died). 32gb ram, i5-9500 (I know it is not the top tier :P) Bought what I could afford and as I needed one asap (I am doing graphic design and web dev so needed to finish projects). Very happy with my PC - probably will upgrade to i9 in the 2 years and will make new build in 4 years (3 if I could afford to change). Love your videos.
tank, i really love your vids! i managed to grab a 3070 for my first ever build and although it's only a week old out of the box, i love its performance! my friends have complimented my graphics and i totally agree. it's a fantastic card, and i'm looking forward to seeing how it displays other games. :)

@@wtf847 He obviously has a better GPU than his friends, and his friends were most likely impressed by how good whatever game looks at the higher playable settings enabled by the 3070. Nothing funny about his wording, imo.

I just completed a build with this in an HAV XB EVO case. Still gotta put Windows on it but I was able to enter the BIOS and everything showed up. I can't wait to play BF4 on it. I really can't wait for the new Battlefield game.
Stood in line at micro center on Saturday from 6am to 10am when they opened. Got this card I have always been getting the strix line up since the 980. Love this card just wish the GeForce Rtx was rgb and the back plate should of also been rgb. But it’s one of the best looking 3070. Great video.
It's awesome that you managed to get one! And I assume at a somewhat decent price too! It's an amazing card, but I agree on the RGB front, they could've definitely gone a bit more over the top. Even just taking the RGB logo on the back of the 3060 model and putting it onto this one would've been a really nice touch.

I'm currently gaming on 1440P with 1070ti for games like Red Dead 2, Total war WH2, 3K. Should I wait for rx6700XT or rtx3070 would be fine for 1440P gaming?
The 3070 is awesome for 1440p, and should give you almost double the performance of the 1070 Ti. If you can wait to see what AMD comes out with next, then there's no harm in it.
Hi love the videos. I am planning to build a pc soon. I am planning on getting a graphics card around 300 usd. I would pair it with the ryzen 7 2700. At the moment the 7 2700 is cheaper than the 5 3600 I was looking at the 1660 ti or super and the 2060. The 2060 is around 400 at the moment. Should I wait a little for the price to go a little down or can you recommend any other good graphics card? Thanks
Hey, appreciate it! The market is crazy right now, unfortunately, and it'll probably stay that way until at least the end of the year. So it'll probably take a while for stock and prices to get back to normal. That being said, the RX 5600 XT is selling for about $300 right now, and it's a little faster than both the 1660 models, and only a tiny bit slower than the 2060.

Finally got my RTX 3070 ordered from Newegg after a month of constant stock monitoring and fighting bots. Never in my life have I worked so hard just to be able to give a company my money! 2020 is tech blue balls, but gunna nut so hard when I boot up with my new card in a few days!! Best of luck boyz stay vigilant and you'll find your pot O' gold eventually.

How is it for 4K performance? really want a 3080 so will hold out
It's good for medium to high quality settings, and around 60 FPS, but definitely not ideal. For "true" 4K, 60 FPS+, high-ultra quality you're going to need a little more horsepower.
So my 3070 strix arrives tomorrow brand new..but would the jump to a 3090 be worth it or not really...???.
If you just have too much money, then it definitely could be worth it, lol. The 3090 is about 40% faster than the 3070. I don't think it's worth it for three times the price, personally.

Unfortunately no one can say for sure. Your best bet would be to contact your local stores and find out when they're getting new stock in, and then ask if you can reserve one.
Best part of the design of the card is that ROG used the same theme for the 6800,6800xt and 6900xt cards

I have this one, it does almost a 100 fps ultra graphics in battlefield v but i get only like 30 fps at max graphics in minecraft

I just got the 3070 strix. Would get the 6800 but they barely exist compared to the stock of Nvidia cards. Also the 6800s are also marked up to $700- 730$ so that price/performance AMD promoted just got thrown out the window.
The whole market is a shitshow right now, honestly.
I have the EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra and I will say that it is excellent for what you get in its price range. Very similar if not a notch ahead of the Strix but very comparable and excellent for 1440p gaming. Keep in mind, you get a ton of extra features, driver support, and ray tracing benefits compared to the AMD 6800. So price wise, it's worth it.
I'm taking hold of another Asus Rog Strix RTX 3070 OC. but not for gaming these babies mine like crazy. and you won't have to deal with all the locked drivers of the 3060.
They're good miners for sure, but the pricing is bonkers. ROI with the current pricing is atrocious.

Sure, but it obviously depends on the price you're getting it for, and whether profitability stays high especially with ETH slated to go POS.

@@TheTechTank got Fibre installed, waited 2 months for them to do the installation so I just went for another isp, decided to go for the 1gbps line. Just happy to be back 🙌I like the wootware shout out they are goated I used them to build my pc 🙌
Duuuuude, they've been installing fibre in my area for the past four months and they're still not done. And even when they finish only Open Serve and Metro Fibre will be available and their packages are garbage. Max is 200 down and up for R2,000! Sticking with my Rain 5G until more providers jump onboard. How much you paying for that line?

Impossible. Pretty much a 50% performance increase coming from the 1070 Ti. Is it possible that you have hardware acceleration turned off in your software or something?
@@TheTechTank I'm not using it for gaming, but for 3D design , there's not any hardware acceleration.
It crash on the same frame as the 1070ti, I see the 3070ti is a bit faster and the grafic is a a bit better but isn't a good choice for 3D, I will definitely buy the quadro A4000
I’m loving my rog strix 3070, especially since it took me 5 months to get my hands on just a 30 series card. If only we could eliminate bots and scalpers scooping up these cards so more of the masses could get their hands on them.
Nice! Sucks that you had to wait that long, but it sucks a lot more for the people who are still waiting 😭 The bots and scalpers are really bringing down the hype for PC gaming, tbh, it's a real shame.
@@TheTechTank what also sucks about the shopping experience for these is you literally have to follow bots on discord or other social media platforms to get notifications when they’re in stock, and even when they do get i stock they’re gone in literal seconds. That’s the only way to grab them at MSRP currently unless you’re willing to pay ridiculous amounts on eBay

Honestly, if you can find a 3080 and game on 1440p+ it's so much more worth. The 3070 has 0 VRAM headroom with only 8GB... THe 3080 has at least 10 to work with... And faster memory too!
Sure, but unfortunately the price difference is big enough to be a dealbreaker for a lot of people. Obviously if you can afford a 3080, buy a 3080.
@@TheTechTank True! I am able to afford a 3080 but unfortunately my principles don't allow me to overpay THAT much for how the scalpers are asking. I did find the 3070 for a great price, and would gladly swap it out for a 3080, but it seems people want 2x the price of the 3070 for it. It's just nonsensical atm haha. I'm waiting out until there's a good deal for one and I might make the jump!
The whole market is an absolute joke right now, man. I would rather stick with whatever card I have already, or even integrated graphics if I had it rather than paying the prices these cards are going for right now.

@@SnakeHelah It's not that big of a deal just yet, tbh. 8GB is still plenty for 1080p and 1440p even at the highest quality settings, and I'm sure that's still going to be the case for at least another two years or so. It's just at 4K in certain games that it becomes a little worrisome.

The RX6800 can't be compared due to the lack of ray-tracing.
It can right now, as RT isn't implemented in a meaningful way in most titles just yet, but as we see the technology improve it'll definitely become a different conversation.

Meh, the drivers always start out shaky for some people, but after a month or two most of the issues are usually sorted out. The situation isn't nearly as bad as you've been led to believe.
@@TheTechTank it not what i been led to believe i have 5700 xt and i would never go amd again because of it. Drivers so much of a head ache that i've actually gone back to my gtx 1070 and take the fps hit just to not deal with their drivers. Gpu fps good but amd gpu drivers horrible.
@@TheTechTank i will upgrade to a rtx 3070 or 3080 when can so can game in 1440p with 165hz in the future but for now i'm gone back to gtx 1070 1080p
I've had my fair share of issues with AMD drivers (I've worked with a lot of AMD cards in the past), and the early Vega drivers were an absolute nightmare, but I've rarely had any issues before or after that that I couldn't fix with a quick Google and some tinkering. Could just be lucky when it comes to that. Don't blame you at all for jumping ship to Nvidia if you're having that bad of a time with AMD's software, Nvidia has the more stable, superior software without a doubt.
@@TheTechTank yea when i first got in back in 2019 never a issue but as time went on with driver updates. U get random black screen's, flickers, random fps drops, new one that happens with my 1440p monitor is dark shading on lower middle which i need to switch monitor off and on to fix. This only happens if it not the primary monitor though which weird. I just thought enough is enough. Nvidia I never dealt any of these issue yea u might not get stable driver at first on new game but it weren't none stop plague of issues and have worry will this update course issues. By the way all these issues go away if u go back to certain early drivers on the amd gpu but then it not optimised for the new games.
