Man, the moment that started playing, I immediately recognized it. It's funny because with other memorable game music, I still sometimes struggle to remember what it's from (the Super Mario Sunshine music is a good example, sometimes I hear it and still can't remember what it's from for a good while) but the Nintendogs bath music? I Instantly remember. It's weird because I'm almost certain that I've clocked more hours total in Mario Sunshine than I ever have Nintendogs. Human memory is wack, ADHD human memory evenmoreso (which is what I have)

@@no-gc1mp I've volunteered for years at the shelter and people always say that to me. But honestly, it becomes much more rewarding to see these family so happy to get the right picture for them.

Your names actually make sense, i work at a dog show, and it genuinely had crazier names than Eater of Worlds, like one was called Blue Eyes White Dragon.
There's almost nothing better than purebred animal "official" names. The one thing better is shelter names, because after awhile you start to run out of ideas and just start naming litters after kitchen appliances.

@@sapphireblue4031 You do have point, there's a diference. But i thought it was the diference between free roaming pets and those that have to be keep 8n contaiment. Like the basement was a zoo and there's a few lucky few who get to come out every so often. But its truth that Jim has shown something close to actual care for his pets. Perphaps its similar to when people said their pets are like their kids. So like with babies, Jim has to care in a minimal way for them, least they be taken away. Though how much he cares for them or if they're taken depends of how useful they're, see hus treatment of horses. So maybe pet isnt the right word, maybe we should xall them something more broad, like "cultits".
kevin's subtle jokes are consistently hilarious. he buys slightly concerning items from the store and says, "alright, i've got what i need, now time to buy the stuff for the animals." he washes a dog and says, "you're the first clean thing in this place." comedic genius.

I've put about 40 hours into this game in the past few weeks. It's a bit of a mess with some rough translations in some places. The horse side of things in particular is pretty buggy. But it has a charm to it that keeps bringing me back. It's just so satisfying to bring in a sick animal, heal it up and then adopt it out to a suitable owner.
That horse was a bit...UNSTABLE.

My best friend had a horse when she was growing up that wouldn't get in the travel trailer until they gave him a bottle of Jack Daniels. Open bottle, hand it to horse, he drinks it, then walks himself into the trailer. Horses are weird.
They probably shouldn't have enabled the horse drinking problem, but what do i know? Im no expert. Ask Kevin instead, he's obviously a horse genius, weird as they may be.

This game has some of the rarest achievements on all of Steam... because it has some of the most glitched out and broken achievements on Steam.
This is exactly the kind of game that would have been in one of those orange cases in a bargain bin in the 2000s, run like garbage on the family PC, yet my 8 year old self would try to play every day. Except it came out in 2022.
