- Today I show you guys how to replace a blower motor on a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500. Also I show how to figure out if the blower motor is bad. I recommend buying the blower motor from 1a auto
Thanks for this great how to. The motor in our truck ran but with little air and LOTS of noise. Followed your instructions plus pulled the little rectangle resistor to the left of the motor (the cavity there was full of fir needles and leaves) and found the blower wheel half full of needles, leaves and a blue shop rag. All cleaned and reassembled (except for that dang screw at the back which I just left out, figuring the cowling wound hold it well enough for a 20 year old truck). Pretty proud of myself as a 75 year old woman with little mechanic-ing experience. Love all you guys that do CZcams How-tos. Saves us bundles!

Just want to say thank you so much!!! I have no mechanic experience past oil changes and you just saved me a $400 ship bill!! Definitely gonna follow you!!
Great video despite someone complaining about poor lighting. Very well done
Thanks for the video. Immensly helpful. Nothing wrong with blower motor. Broke tab taking it out. Had to replace it anyways. Resister module bad. Motor housing completlely clogged with shredded insulation. Rodents!!!
This video saved me a bunch of money so thank you 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻
That back screw on the blower motor cover produces a lot of cussing.
Hahaha whole time " who's fu**in stupid idea was this ". Not fun without a little challenge haha.
I can not get that back bolt at all
@@Saennuc I think I got on it somehow with a flexible socket. Been a while since. Just keep trying until you get it off. I didn't put mine back on . The rest is easy.
Lol😂
Mine had a squirrels nest inside . No wonder it wasn't blowing any air. Thanks for for this it was very helpful.
Just what I needed to know.
Thanks for the honest video because this is literally what it's like. Also it was funny! Now i can fix mine quicker. Thanks!
Thank you man it helped me

Didnt need to replace mine, but a mouse got its head stuck inside the the fan and i had to remove both the head and body so that was fun😕
I dont know which way to turn it but i try both ways with a oil filter wrench. Sonething has to give
Thanks buddy

Thanks man, good video
The bearings were gummed up on mine so I cleaned and lubed and reinstalled
Thnx man that helped pulled the blower motor out put another in decided to check the cabin air filter and was so bad that's why it was barely blowing so pulled new blower motor out put old one back in blew like a dream after changing filter lol don't fix what ain't broken Thnx again video helped allot😁😁
Thanks for the video man. He said "the driver's steering wheel" LoL that tickled me a bit. It's all good though.
you probably dont care but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Jake Alexis instablaster :)
Alternative: First set of screws should be #7s. Mine are. Blower motor screws and Cabon Air Filter screw were #5.5 (or 6 worked too)
Mine were 5mm
Mine were 7 and 5.5
Good video. Now on to tackling this thing!
Is that a 1/4” drive flex extension or a bit extension you used for the back bolt? I cannot find that particular one anywhere…where did you get it?
Hey there. I'm having some issues with my heater not working on my 2000 chevy silverado 1500. I've already replaced the Blower Motor and the Blower motor resistor and I'm still on no heat. What else can it be?
On my 01 silverado the ac got stuck on defrost and doesn’t switch to the front vents still blows but what would it be?
Its a bitch isn't it ... I'm doing it right now ... I' m an elderly man ... LOL
What size is the bolt?
Omg It's -10F and I'm trying to get that back bolt out it is passing me off lol lots of trips in and out of the house.
Any idea why I’m not getting much air flow out of my 2002 , filters are brand new door actuators work and blower motor works . Sounds like it blowing air but not feeling to much air come out of the vents
I would try flipping the cabin air filters 180. Probably have the wrong end facing the blower motor
Nick’s knuckle breakin’ fixin’ channel
Bought a blower motor thought it to be my last resort as it was working, put in the brand new one and the flow was stronger than ever. I appreciate you providing the content that way I knew how to put the new one in
LUCA BIAMONTE glad to help
I changed mine but it doesn't blow nearly as hard as it did before
❤
The back bolt is almost impossible to reach
Mine doesn’t work on any of the numbers. It use to than just randomly stopped.
Change the resistor that is plugged into the blower motor…twenty bucks on Amazon
TFS
Lighting is poor
LOLOLOL
Awful dark video
thank you surely helped me
it looks like it wobbles the new one
