I'm considering going with an 80a from an 78a for outdoor use. The 78 cushions bumps and cracks pretty well. Does the 80 also feel pretty good absorbing the rough roads or does it start getting into that territory where you feel every rock?
I have a question for you. 5"11 220lbs but I am playing on this outdoor sport court (I think they call it spider court) that is super slippery. Everyone wears x-soft wheels no matter how heavy they are because this court is just that slippery. Do you think those green shooters would be grippy enough for me? I currently use two different labeda wheels that are both 74As and when I try my rink rats that you had in the other video they were way too slippy. I am not that concerned about wheels flattening or rolling over, grip is my #1 priority. What would you recommend? (I saw a good deal on Amazon for those shooters)
If I were you on a slick sport court I wouldn't go with the shooters because my experience with the shooters is that they are really grippy at the beginning but lose grip over time just like the Rink Rats, but a little slower, I weigh about 170lbs and for me both the Rink Rats and shooters wore out faster than other Labeta wheels ie Addictions but if I had to go with Shooters or Rinks Rats I'd take the Shooters any day, but my favs are the Labeta Addictions; they're way more grippy and last way longer. So my final thoughts are that I'd probably go with Addictions if I was going to do a solid hardness setup. Or for another thing, I don't know if you like revision wheels, you could go with some revision recoil wheels. I haven't used recoils in specific but I've tried other 74a Revision wheels and they were really grippy. From what you've told me about your floor I also might go with some Addictions on the back and some shooters or something harder on the front, just because you don't use the front wheels of your skate as much as your backs. So I would have to feel what the floor feels like first to make a decision. but a solid choice for me would be the Addictions. @@clever_cuber I appreciate the informative response. I will def look into those addictions for my back wheels. Is it normally recommended to have your grippyer wheels in the back? And more firmer wheels in the front? Because I may have been setting it up wrong the whole time then lol... While those are a little pricey, if I noticed a better grip with them I will see if I can get them for all my wheels, but I may try for cheaper ones up front first.
@@clever_cuberI’m pretty much in the same scenario but I’m 6’ and 230 pounds. I play on an outdoor rink that is slippery but it’s smooth painted asphalt type of a thing. I’m currently using Labeta shooters but I am unsure/lacking knowledge if that is the best wheel for my application. When you get a chance can you make a recommendation for me?
@@KingTonyBatts Hi Tony, it depends on how much grip those Shooters are giving you and also how much they squish on corners for you. If your current shooters are giving you plenty of grip but are squishing, I'd consider a hard indoor wheel like Labeta Gripper. You'll have less grip but you may be faster because the wheel will keep composer better than a softer wheel IE your shooters in this case. If your Shooters are squishing too much where you think the Grippers won't do enough to solve that problem, I'd go all the way up to an outdoor wheel like Labeta asphalts, which in my opinion are the best outdoor wheels I've tried. If the wheels squishing isnt a problem and you feel your shooters are grippy enough I'd stick with those because they don't wear out real fast and they're also pretty grippy. I probably wouldn't get Labeta Additions just because they'll wear pretty fast on an asphalt court. Hope This Helps. ( :

what would you recomend if one is a medium advanced skater who plays roller hockey 60% on smooth apshalt and 40% on a sports court ?

For me I'd use 82/84As as well. But I wouldn't go any softer than that.
